Milaha Wins QatarEnergy Contract Worth Over QAR 1.4 Billion

Doha: Qatar Navigation (Milaha), a Qatari shareholding company, announced that it won a contract worth QAR 1.4 billion from QatarEnergy for a period of five years, subject to renewal, to provide engineering, logistics, supply and undersea construction work for offshore oil and gas projects in the State of Qatar.
President and Acting CEO of Milaha Eng. Mohammed Abdullah Sweidan said on Monday that the contract represents the largest commercial transaction in Milaha’s history, noting that this achievement will enhance the company’s position as a reliable provider and partner of choice for major oil and gas field development projects in Qatar.
Sweidan noted that winning this contract confirms Milaha’s ability to provide value-added services to its partners in the field of engineering and construction under and above sea level, while adhering to the highest standards of health and safety.
Milaha is committed to working to achieve its strategy to continue developing its capabilities in serving major oil and gas projects in Qatar, especially with regard to inspection, repair and maintenance operations, which will contribute to Qatar’s ‘Tawteen’ program to enhance the supply chain for the energy sector in Qatar.

الدوحة: أعلنت شركة ملاحة (شركة مساهمة عامة قطرية) عن فوزها بعقد بقيمة تفوق 1.40 مليار ريال قطري من شركة قطر للطاقة، لمدة خمس سنوات قابلة للتجديد؛ وذلك لتقديم أعمال الهندسة والخدمات اللوجستية والتوريد والبناء تحت سطح البحر لمشاريع النفط والغاز البحرية في دولة قطر.
وتعليقا على الموضوع، قال المهندس محمد عبدالله سويدان الرئيس والمدير التنفيذي بالإنابة في شركة ملاحة، اليوم: إن العقد يمثل أكبر صفقة تجارية في تاريخ /ملاحة/، وسيعزز هذا الإنجاز مكانة الشركة كمزود موثوق وشريك مفضل لمشاريع تطوير حقول النفط والغاز الرئيسية في دولة قطر.
وأضاف سويدان: “إن الفوز بهذا العقد يؤكد قدرة شركة ملاحة على تقديم خدمات ذات قيمة مضافة لشركائها في مجال الهندسة والبناء تحت سطح البحر وفوقه، مع الالتزام بأعلى معايير الصحة والسلامة”.
وتلتزم /ملاحة/ بالعمل على تحقيق استراتيجيتها لمواصلة تطوير قدراتها في خدمة مشاريع النفط والغاز الكبرى في قطر، خاصة فيما يخص عمليات الفحص والإصلاح والصيانة، التي ستساهم في تحقيق أهداف برنامج /توطين/ لتعزيز سلسلة التوريد لقطاع الطاقة في قطر.
