QIB Gains 3 Excellence Awards from Euromoney

Doha: Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has been named “Best Bank in Qatar”, “Best Bank for Digital Solutions in Qatar”, and “Best Bank for Islamic Finance in Qatar” by Euromoney Magazine at the Awards for Excellence 2022 ceremony held recently in Dubai.

Established in 1992, the Euromoney Awards for Excellence were the first of their kind in the financial publishing industry and are the most significant banking awards in the industry. Recognizing the achievements of banking institutions, the awards program celebrates outstanding financial institutions around the world that deliver excellent services and a seamless banking experience to their customers. The new accolades recognize QIB’s clear strategy, longstanding position as a leading Bank in Qatar, and stellar financial performance delivering record total assets of QAR 193 Billion in the first three months of 2022. Additionally, the “Best Bank for Digital Solutions in Qatar” award recognizes QIB’s commitment to a customer-focused approach and leadership in digital banking. While “Best Bank for Islamic Finance in Qatar” strengthen its position as the benchmark of Islamic Banking in the country.

QIB continued to strengthen its leadership in the local banking sector over the past year, maintaining its position as the largest Islamic bank in Qatar. The Bank outperformed the market in terms of Net Profit growth, having a CAGR of 8.9% for the three-year period from 2019 to 2021, and achieved the best cost to income efficiency ratio in Qatar and the MENA region.

QIB’s success derives from the strategic vision of its Board of Directors, and the focused implementation of its business strategy. A key factor which contributes to the Bank’s growth is the resilience of Qatar’s banking sector and the overall national economy of Qatar.

الدوحة: حصل مصرف قطر الإسلامي /المصرف/، على جوائز /أفضل بنك في قطر/، و/أفضل بنك للحلول الرقمية في قطر/، و/أفضل بنك للتمويل الإسلامي في قطر/ من مجلة يوروموني في حفل توزيع جوائز التميز 2022 الذي أقيم مؤخراً في دبي.

وتعد جوائز /يوروموني/ للتميز، التي أطلقت في عام 1992، الأولى التي تمنحها مجلة مالية متخصصة، واحدة من أكثر الجوائز المرموقة في القطاع المصرفي العالمي، حيث تهدف إلى تكريم المؤسسات المالية في جميع أنحاء العالم التي تقدم خدمات متميزة وتجربة مصرفية سلسة لعملائها.

وقد حصل المصرف على هذه الجوائز الجديدة، من قبل لجنة تحكيم من الخبراء، تقديرا لاستراتيجيته الواضحة ومكانته الثابتة في قطر، والأداء المالي المتميز، حيث حقق إجمالي أصول قياسياً بلغ 193 مليار ريال قطري في الربع الأول من عام 2022. كما نال المصرف جائزة /أفضل بنك للحلول الرقمية في قطر/، تقديراً لاعتماده نهجاً يركز على العملاء، بينما تعزز جائزة /أفضل بنك للتمويل الإسلامي في قطر/ مكانة المصرف كمثال يحتذى به في الصيرفة الإسلامية في دولة قطر.

ونجح المصرف في مواصلة تعزيز ريادته في القطاع المصرفي المحلي في عام 2021، وتمكن من الحفاظ على مكانته كأكبر مصرف إسلامي في قطر، كما حافظ على أدائه القوي مقارنة بأداء القطاع المصرفي المحلي ككل من حيث نمو صافي الأرباح، حيث حقق معدل نمو سنوي مركب بنسبة 8.9 بالمئة لفترة السنوات الثلاث من 2019 إلى 2021، وحقق أفضل نسبة كفاءة في التكلفة إلى الدخل في قطر ومنطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال إفريقيا.

ويأتي نجاح المصرف امتداداً للرؤية الاستراتيجية لمجلس الإدارة، والتنفيذ الدقيق لاستراتيجية أعماله. كما أن قوة ومتانة القطاع المصرفي والاقتصاد الوطني للدولة يشكلان عاملين أساسيين لاستمرار نمو المصرف.
