QSC Wins Advanced Positions in Arab Robotics Championship in Egypt

Sharm El-Sheikh: In a new accomplishment for the Qatar Scientific Club, the club’s teams achieved advanced positions in the 13th Arab Robotics Championships held in Sharm El-Sheikh, the Arab Republic of Egypt, during the period from 1 to 4 July.

The “ball collector” team won first place in its category, the “sumo competitions” team won the third place, while the “line tracing competitions” team won the best performance cup along with the third place, and the “FLL” team won third place with the best performance cup, amid intense competition between the participating Arab teams from 17 countries, which included about 200 teams from various competitions, to crown the Qatari delegation with the shield of the best participating delegations and the best referee cup.

The Qatar Scientific Club participated in the 13th Arab Robotics Championship, with four teams consisting of 16 participants, which are the ball collector team from Al Wakra Independent Secondary School for Boys, the line tracing team from Hamza Bin Abdul Muttalib Independent Preparatory School for Boys, the sumo team from Qatar Technical Secondary School for Boys, the FLL team from Ahmed Bin Hanbal Independent Secondary School for Boys, the teams that won the first places in the Schools Robot

Championship, which was held in May with the support of the Ministry of Sports and Youth.
Administrative and Financial Director of the Qatar Scientific Club and head of the Qatari delegation Fatima Al Mohannadi said that the participating robot knights from the delegation of the State of Qatar were fine ambassadors in this tournament in terms of efficiency and technical level, their commitment to directives, and their deliberate drive to obtain the best results.

She added that she congratulates them for their achievements to be added to the record of Qatari achievements in this field, explaining that these results come as a result of a fruitful cooperation between the Qatari Scientific Club of the Ministry of Sports and Youth and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education for the benefit of students, as they are the promising future generation. She expressed her appreciation for the sponsorship of the Seashore Group, as well as The Social & Sport Contribution Fund to sponsor the Schools Robot Championship, where the winning teams qualified to participate in the Arab Championship, stressing that this support represents a social responsibility to support the youth sector, which contributes to developing youth capabilities to achieve their ambitions and aspirations in the fields of innovation and various sciences. She pointed out the efforts of the Youth Affairs Department at the Ministry of Sports and Youth, and harnessing its capabilities and expertise in the field of youth work, to enhance the participation of distinguished and creative people in local and international exhibitions and conferences to enhance the position of the State of Qatar in this field.

For her part, the State of Qatar Representative in the Arab Robotics Association Mariam al Awadhi said that she feels proud of the high sense of responsibility she felt on the part of the teams participating in the tournament, as they were up to the responsibility in representing their country, and despite the intense competition between the teams and the close-tight results, the Qatar Science Club teams were able to compete for the first places. She pointed out that there is a clear development and improvement in the performance curve of the Qatari teams participating in the robot tournaments in terms of performance, professionalism, and in terms of results which is primarily due to the interest of the concerned authorities in this type of competition, led by the Qatar Scientific Club, which is the approved authority in the State of Qatar to organize local competitions and nominate teams for the Arab Robot Championship.

The Arab Open Robot Championship is considered the strongest tournament held in the Arab world in the field of robotics since 2008, in which student teams from the age group of 6 years until the end of the university stage participate, and it is a forum for distinguished minds from the finest youth of the Arab world and is supervised by the Arab Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Association. The tournament aims to achieve a set of goals, including developing the skills of participants in engineering sciences, electronics, programming and artificial intelligence, developing the spirit of creativity among participants in the field of robotics, and highlighting the energies and capabilities of those interested in science, engineering, technology, and mathematics through the challenges of the participating teams.

شرم الشيخ: في إنجاز جديد للنادي العلمي القطري، حصلت فرق النادي على عدد من المراكز المتقدمة في مسابقات البطولة العربية الثالثة عشرة للروبوت، المقامة في مدينة شرم الشيخ بجمهورية مصر العربية خلال الفترة من 1 وحتى 4 يوليو الجاري.

وحصل فريق /جامع الكرات/ على المركز الأول في فئته، كما حصل فريق /مسابقات السومو/ على المركز الثالث، فيما نال فريق /مسابقات تتبع الخط/ كأس أفضل أداء إلى جانب المركز الثالث، وكذلك حصل فريق /ال FLL/ على المركز الثالث مع كأس أفضل أداء، وذلك وسط منافسة شديدة بين الفرق العربية المشاركة من 17 دولة، ضمت حوالي 200 فريق من مختلف المسابقات، ليتوج الوفد القطري بدرع أفضل الوفود المشاركة وبكأس أفضل حكم.

وشارك النادي العلمي القطري في البطولة العربية الثالثة عشرة للروبوت، بأربعة فرق مكونة من ستة عشر مشاركًا، وهي فريق جامع الكرات من مدرسة الوكرة الثانوية للبنين، وفريق تتبع الخط من مدرسة حمزة بن عبدالمطلب الإعدادية للبنين، وفريق السومو من مدرسة قطر التقنية الثانوية للبنين، وفريق /ال FLL/ من مدرسة أحمد بن حنبل الثانوية للبنين، وهي الفرق التي فازت بالمراكز الأولى في بطولة المدارس للروبوت، والتي أقيمت في شهر مايو الماضي بدعم من وزارة الرياضة والشباب.

وقالت السيدة فاطمة المهندي مدير الشؤون الإدارية والمالية في النادي العلمي القطري ورئيس الوفد القطري: إن “فرسان الروبوت المشاركين من وفد دولة قطر كانوا نعم السفراء في هذه البطولة من حيث الكفاءة والمستوى الفني، والتزامهم بالتوجيهات، واندفاعهم المدروس للحصول على أفضل النتائج”.

وأضافت: “نبارك لهم ما حققوه من إنجازات تضاف إلى سجل الإنجازات القطرية في هذا المجال”، موضحة أن هذه النتائج تأتي نتيجة تعاون مثمر بين النادي العلمي القطري التابع لوزارة الرياضة والشباب ووزارة التربية والتعليم والتعليم العالي تحقيقًا لمصلحة الطلاب، فهم جيل المستقبل الواعد، معربة عن تقديرها لرعاية مجموعة شاطئ البحر مشاركة وفد قطر، وأيضًا لصندوق دعم الأنشطة الاجتماعية والرياضية لرعاية بطولة المدارس للروبوت، حيث تأهلت الفرق الفائزة للمشاركة في البطولة العربية، مؤكدة أن هذا الدعم يمثل المسؤولية المجتمعية لدعم قطاع الشباب، مما يساهم في تطوير قدرات الشباب على تحقيق طموحاتهم وتطلعاتهم في مجالات الابتكار والعلوم المختلفة، منوهة في الوقت نفسه بجهود إدارة الشؤون الشبابية بوزارة الرياضة والشباب، وتسخير إمكانياتها وخبراتها في مجال العمل الشبابي؛ لتعزيز مشاركة المتميزين والمبدعين في المعارض والمؤتمرات المحلية والدولية لتعزيز مكانة دولة قطر في هذا المجال.

من جهتها، قالت مريم العوضي إداري الوفد وممثل دولة قطر في الجمعية العربية للروبوت، إنها تشعر بالفخر لما لمسته من إحساس عالٍ بالمسؤولية من جانب الفرق المشاركة بالبطولة، حيث كانوا على قدر المسؤولية في تمثيل بلدهم، وبالرغم من المنافسة الشديدة بين الفرق وتقارب النتائج، فقد استطاعت فرق النادي العلمي القطري المنافسة على المراكز الأولى، مشيرة إلى وجود تطور واضح وارتقاء في منحنى أداء الفرق القطرية المشاركة في بطولات الروبوت من حيث الأداء، ومن حيث الاحترافية، ومن حيث النتائج، وذلك يعود بالدرجة الأولى إلى اهتمام الجهات المعنية بهذا النوع من المسابقات، وعلى رأسها النادي العلمي القطري، الذي يعتبر الجهة المعتمدة في دولة قطر لتنظيم المسابقات المحلية، وترشيح الفرق للبطولة العربية للروبوت.

وتعتبر البطولة العربية المفتوحة للروبوت أقوى البطولات التي تقام في الوطن العربي في مجال الروبوت منذ العام 2008، يشارك فيها فرق طلابية من المرحلة العمرية 6 سنوات حتى نهاية المرحلة الجامعية، وهي ملتقى للعقول المميزة من خيرة شباب الوطن العربي، وتشرف على البطولة الجمعية العربية للروبوت والذكاء الاصطناعي، وتهدف البطولة إلى تحقيق مجموعة من الأهداف، منها تنمية مهارات المشاركين في علوم الهندسة والإلكترونيات والبرمجة والذكاء الاصطناعي، وتنمية روح الإبداع لدى المشاركين في مجال الروبوت، وإبراز طاقات وقدرات المهتمين بالعلوم والهندسة والتكنولوجيا والرياضيات من خلال تحديات الفرق المشاركة في البطولة.
