QCAA: 34 million passengers passing through Hamad Airport

Doha: The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) has issued a special report on the latest passenger numbers expectations in 2022, in conjunction with the latest data on easing air travel restrictions and eliminating all health travel restrictions in about 25% of the world (mostly from european countries).

The special report came according to a number of indicators, the most prominent of which was the gradual recovery of international air traffic from the Coronavirus pandemic and the lifting of travel restrictions, in addition to the use and adoption of the latest update of the IATA data (Airport-IS) for air transport, regular flight schedules to and from Doha, with the capacity and number of seats expected until the end of 2022. QCAA said, in a statement on its website.

In its statement, QCAA indicated the assumption of the expected volume of charter flights and shuttle flights during the World Cup between Hamad and Doha International Airports and the airports of the neighboring Gulf countries, in accordance with the agreement recently concluded between Qatar Airways Group and each of Fly Dubai, Saudi Airlines, Oman Air and Kuwait Airways.

The number of passenger flights at both Hamad and Doha International Airports is expected to reach about 28,000 regular and chartered flights during the FIFA World Cup from November 21 to December 18 2022.

It is worth noting that the expected numbers of passengers (arrivals, departures, and transits) during the months of November and December 2022 will exceed the numbers recorded during the same period in 2019, i.e. before the Coronavirus pandemic, by an average of about 11%.

الدوحة: أصدرت الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني تقريراً خاصاً عن آخر التوقعات المتعلقة بأعداد الركاب خلال عام 2022، وذلك بالتزامن مع آخر المعطيات المتعلقة بتخفيف القيود المفروضة على السفر الجوي، والقيام بإلغاء كافة قيود السفر الصحية في حوالي 25% من دول العالم (معظمها من دول القارة الأوروبية).

وقالت الهيئة، في بيان عبر موقعها الالكتروني، إن التقرير الخاص جاء وفقاً لعدد من المؤشرات والتي كان أبرزها تعافي حركة النقل الجوي الدولي من جائحة كورونا تدريجياً ورفع قيود السفر، إلى جانب استخدام واعتماد آخر تحديث لبيانات الأياتا (Airport-IS) الخاصة بالنقل الجوي، وجداول رحلات الطيران النظامية من وإلى الدوحة بالسعة وعدد المقاعد المتوقعة حتى نهاية عام 2022.

وأشارت الهيئة في بيانها إلى افتراض حجم حركة الطيران العارض المتوقعة وحركة الرحلات المكوكية أثناء بطولة كأس العالم بين مطاري حمد والدوحة الدوليين ومطارات الدول الخليجية المجاورة وفقاً للاتفاق الذي تم عقده مؤخراً بين مجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية وكل من شركة فلاي دبي، والخطوط الجوية السعودية والطيران العماني والخطوط الكويتية.

كما يُتوقع أن يصل عدد رحلات الركاب في كل من مطاري حمد والدوحة الدوليين إلى حوالي 28.000 رحلة نظامية وعارضة أثناء بطولة كأس العالم لكرة القدم من تاريخ 21 نوفمبر إلى 18 ديسمبر 2022.

ومن الجدير بالذكر أن أعداد الركاب (القادمين والمغادرين والعابرين “ترانزيت”) المتوقعة خلال شهري نوفمبر وديسمبر 2022 سوف تتعدى الأرقام المسجلة خلال الفترة نفسها من عام 2019 أي قبل جائحة كورونا بنسبة معدلها حوالي 11%.
