Strawberry moon will light up the sky today

Lovers of natural wonders have a date today with the “strawberry moon”.

The strawberry moon reaches its climax on June 16 of each year, and it was given this name as it coincides with the beginning of the strawberry picking season. It is also known as (Rose Moon) or (Hot Moon), because its appearance coincides with the onset of hot weather in summer.

It rises on the longest day of the year, when the length of the day is 16 hours and 38 minutes.

The strawberry moon will reach its climax at 12:51 am when the entire moon is lit by the sun, and the Earth is between the sun and the moon.

لدى عشاق عجائب الطبيعة موعد اليوم مع “قمر الفراولة”.

ويبلغ قمر الفراولة ذروته في 16 يونيو من كل سنة، وقد أطلق عليه هذا الاسم لتزامن خروجه مع بداية موسم قطف الفراولة، ويُعرف أيضًا باسم (القمر الوردي – Rose Moon) أو (القمر الملتهب – Hot Moon)، لتزامن ظهوره مع بداية الطقس الحار في الصيف.

وهو يظهر في أطول يوم في السنة، عندما يكون طول النهار 16 ساعة و38 دقيقة.

وسيصل قمر الفراولة إلى ذروته عند الساعة 12.51 مساءً، عندما يُضاء القمر كله بأشعة الشمس، وتكون الأرض بين الشمس والقمر.
