Campaigns to clean Qatari beaches to mark world environment day

حملات لتنظيف شواطئ قطر تزامناً مع الاحتفال باليوم العالمي للبيئة

Doha: To mark the world environment day, under the slogan “We only have one land”. The Ministry of Municipality carried out campaigns to clean up several beaches in Qatar, where it carried out a joint clean-up campaign with the participation of about 150 volunteers in collaboration with UrbaCon Trading and Contracting Company yesterday morning.

It also organized, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and Doha Bank, an event to clean up Ras Al-Noof beach in the municipality of Al-Khor and Al-Thakhira.

Also, Al-Daayen Municipality organized a campaign to clean Simaisma Beach, in cooperation with Al+Jaber & Partners Company and the Public Works Authority “Ashghal”.

The Ministry of Municipality, represented by the Municipality of Al-Khor and Al-Thakhira, in cooperation with the community outreach team at the Office of the Assistant Undersecretary for Municipal Affairs and the Department of Public Hygiene, and with the active participation of the Indian Youth Committee, implemented a campaign to clean the northern coastal area of Al-Thakhira city, with the aim of educating the community about the importance of maintaining public hygiene and supporting the ministry’s zero waste campaign.

الدوحة: تزامناً مع الاحتفال باليوم العالمي للبيئة، تحت شعار «لا نملك سوى أرض واحدة». نفذت وزارة البلدية حملات لتنظيف عدة شواطئ في قطر، حيث قامت بالتعاون مع شركة أورباكون للتجارة والمقاولات صباح أمس، بحملة تنظيف مشتركة بشاطئ الوكرة العام بمشاركة نحو 150 متطوع.

ونظمت أيضاً بالتعاون مع وزارة البيئة والتغير المناخي وبنك الدوحة فعالية تنظيف شاطئ راس النوف ببلدية الخور والذخيرة.

وأيضاً نظمت بلدية الظعاين حملة لتنظيف شاطئ سميسمة، وذلك بالتعاون مع شركة الجابر وشركائه وهيئة الأشغال العامة «أشغال»،

ونفَّذت وزارةُ البلدية ممثلة ببلدية الخور والذخيرة بالتعاون مع فريق التواصل المجتمعي بمكتب الوكيل المساعد لشؤون البلديات وإدارة النظافة العامة وبمشاركة فاعلة من لجنة الشباب الهندية، حملةً لتنظيف المنطقة الشمالية الساحلية لمدينة الذخيرة، بهدف توعية المجتمع بأهمية المحافظة على النظافة العامة ودعم حملة (صفر نفايات) التي تنفذها الوزارة.
