Milipol Qatar 2022 Kicks Off Today

Doha: Under the patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the 14th edition of Milipol Qatar will kick off today at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.
The three-day event is organized by the Ministry of Interior.

In a press conference held today to announce the details of Milipol Qatar 2022, Chairman of the Milipol Qatar Committee Maj. Gen. Nasser bin Fahd Al-Thani said that the 14th edition of Milipol is a special one that will receive visitors from around the world again, at a time when movement between countries of the world is witnessing signs of recovery after the restrictions and precautionary measures taken due to the coronavirus pandemic. He expressed confidence that this year will be an exceptional year for the security sector in the State of Qatar, with the approach of hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

He added that the exhibition will host several security seminars over two days, focusing on the safe management of major events and means of enhancing cyber security. This year the exhibition hosts more than 220 exhibitors from 22 countries from Europe, the Middle East, North America and Asia, and 60% of the exhibitors are participating for the first time. The exhibiting companies participating for the first time come from eight countries: Australia, Canada, Cyprus, Croatia, Finland, India, the Netherlands and Slovakia.

The exhibition also includes pavilions representing 5 countries, including France, North America, Germany, Italy and Austria, which are participating in the event for the first time, in addition to the individual international participations and the participation of 99 exhibiting companies from Qatar, Maj. Gen. Nasser bin Fahd Al-Thani noted.

Maj. Gen. Nasser bin Fahd Al-Thani pointed to the growing participation of exhibitors, and the increase in the area covered by the exhibition to reach 11,000 square meters, stating that it is expected a greater turnout from visitors. He invited all concerned bodies to attend the exhibition to learn about the latest technologies and products and to meet local and international companies, as a number of exhibitors will be launching new products and solutions. The exhibition provides an opportunity for manufacturers of equipment for the internal security and civil defense sectors to meet with decision-makers and specialists in the field of security, to exchange knowledge and experiences.

The Milipol Committee Chairman thanked the sponsors for their valuable contribution to the success of Milipol Qatar 2022.

For his part, President of Milipol events Yann Jounot highlighted the importance of participation and joint cooperation. He thanked the Qatari Ministry of Interior for the great success of the previous edition of the exhibition, which was organized in times of Covid-19 pandemic, as the Milipol exhibition was one of the first exhibitions held in the region at that time. This shows the capability of the State of Qatar to organize in the midst of the hardships and difficulties it faces. He also praised the Milipol Qatar Committee and its wonderful organizational ability in organizing one of the most important security exhibitions in the region.

Brig. Gen. Saud Al Shafi, member of the committee, said that all arrangements have been completed for the opening of the 14th session of Milipol Qatar tomorrow, Tuesday, amid great attendance and participation from various countries of the world.

The press conference witnessed the signing of sponsorship and cooperation agreements between the Milipol Qatar Committee and the sponsoring companies.

الدوحة: تحت الرعاية الكريمة لحضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، تنطلق اليوم /الثلاثاء/ الدورة الرابعة عشرة لمعرض ميليبول قطر، الذي تنظمه وزارة الداخلية، ويستمر ثلاثة أيام، بمركز الدوحة للمعارض والمؤتمرات.

وخلال مؤتمر صحفي عُقِد اليوم بهذه المناسبة أكد اللواء ناصر بن فهد آل ثاني رئيس لجنة “ميليبول قطر” أن هذه النسخة من المعرض لها خصوصية كبيرة؛ لقدرتها على استقبال الزوار من حول العالم مجددًا، في وقت يشهد فيه التنقل بين دول العالم بوادر للتعافي من الأحداث التي شهدها خلال العامين الماضيين بسبب فيروس كورونا، معربًا عن ثقته بأن هذا العام سيكون عامًا استثنائيًّا للقطاع الأمني في دولة قطر، وذلك مع اقتراب استضافة بطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022.

وأوضح رئيس لجنة “ميليبول” أن المعرض يستضيف هذا العام عدة ندوات أمنية على مدار يومين، تركّز على الإدارة الآمنة للفعاليات الكبرى ووسائل تعزيز الأمن السيبراني، وتشمل الندوات 22 عرضًا تقديميًّا لخبراء محليين وعالميين؛ بهدف إلقاء نظرة معمّقة على الحلول المتوافرة لمواجهة التحديات الملحة التي تواجه القطاع الأمني.

وأوضح أن المعرض يستقطب هذا العام أكثر من 220 شركة عارضة من 22 دولة من أوروبا والشرق الأوسط وأمريكا الشمالية وآسيا، وأن 60 في المئة من العارضين يشاركون لأول مرة، وأن الشركات العارضة التي تشارك للمرة الأولى تأتي من ثماني دول هي: أستراليا، كندا، قبرص، كرواتيا، فنلندا، الهند، هولندا، سلوفاكيا.

وتابع اللواء ناصر بن فهد آل ثاني بأن المعرض يضم أجنحة تمثل 5 دول “فرنسا وأمريكا وألمانيا وإيطاليا والنمسا التي تشارك في الفعالية للمرة الأولى”، فضلًا عن المشاركات الدولية المنفردة، ومشاركة 99 شركة عارضة من قطر.

وقال اللواء ناصر بن فهد آل ثاني: “بالنظر إلى المشاركة المتنامية للجهات العارضة، وازدياد المساحة التي يغطيها المعرض لتصل إلى 11 ألف متر مربع، نتوقع إقبالًا أكبر من الزوار، وهنا أودّ أن أدعو جميع المختصين لحضور المعرض؛ للتعرّف على أحدث التقنيات والمنتجات ولقاء الشركات المحلية والعالمية، حيث سيقوم عدد من الجهات العارضة بإطلاق منتجات وحلول جديدة. كما تبرز الأهمية الكبيرة لإقامة المعرض حاليًا، في إتاحة الفرصة أمام الجهات المُصنّعة لمعدات قطاعي الأمن الداخلي والدفاع المدني للقاء أصحاب القرار والمتخصصين في مجال الأمن، لتبادل المعارف والخبرات”، وتقدم رئيس لجنة “ميليبول” بالشكر للجهات الراعية على مساهمتها القيمة في سبيل نجاح معرض ميليبول قطر 2022.

من جانبه، أعرب السيد ليان جونوت، رئيس شبكة معارض ميليبول الدولية، عن مدى أهمية المشاركة والتعاون مع وزارة الداخلية، مشيدًا بالنجاح الكبير الذي حققته النسخة السابقة للمعرض رغم تنظيمها في ظل جائحه كورونا. متابعًا بالقول: “كان معرض ميليبول قطر واحدًا من أوائل المعارض التي أقيمت في المنطقة، وهذا يدل على حيوية دولة قطر وقدرتها على التنظيم في عز الشدائد والمصاعب التي تواجهها”. كما أشاد بلجنة “ميليبول قطر” وقدرتها التنظيمية الرائعة في تنظيم واحد من أهم المعارض الأمنية في المنطقة، متمنيًا النجاح والتوفيق لجميع المشاركين في معرض ميليبول قطر.

بدوره أوضح العميد سعود آل شافي عضو لجنة “ميليبول” أنه تم الانتهاء من جميع الترتيبات لافتتاح الدورة الرابعة عشر من “ميليبول قطر” غدًا الثلاثاء وسط حضور ومشاركة كبيرة من مختلف دول العالم، واعتبر المعرض فرصة للمختصين للاطلاع على أحدث المنتجات والمعدات في مجالات قطاع الأمن الداخلي، مبينًا أن المعرض في كل دورة يشهد العديد من الصفقات بين مختلف الأطراف، حسب متطلبات كل جهة.

يذكر أن المؤتمر الصحفي شهد التوقيع على اتفاقيات الرعاية والتعاون بين لجنة “ميليبول قطر” والشركات الراعية، والتي وقعها اللواء ناصر بن فهد آل ثاني رئيس اللجنة وممثلو الشركات الداعمة.
