Introduction

This handbook contains the details, flow, and structure for the Ooredoo Arena – FIFA 22 tournament organized and managed by Quest. It also contains the general rules and regulations of the tournament.

The tournament can be played on PlayStation 4 or 5 Consoles exclusively, but only using the PlayStation 4 version of the game.

Breaking the rules by any member of a team results in an immediate disqualification and forfeit of any prizes won by the entire team. These rules could be amended by the tournament organizers at any point without prior notice to ensure fair play. In extraordinary conditions, admins can also go against the rulebook to ensure fair play.

THIS IS A LAN EVENT QUALIFIER. PLAYERS UNABLE TO ATTEND BECAUSE OF VISA OR ANY OTHER ISSUES WILL BE DROPPED OUT AND REPLACED WITH THE NEXT PLAYER IN THE BRACKET AT THE TOURNAMENT ORGANIZERS’ DISCRETION

Registration is open for Participants located in the following countries:

Qatar, Kuwait, KSA, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Iraq, Lebanon and Egypt

Term Definitions

Admin: A Quest representative, responsible for creating rooms/lobbies in which players compete. They are in charge of communicating tournament rules and regulations to the players.

Queuing: Waiting in a designated virtual area until an Admin directs players to the lobby or until lobby lists become public.

Banning: Removing a player from the tournament and restricting them from joining any future matches.

Macro Keys: An automated input sequence that imitates keystrokes or mouse actions.

Scripting: using programs to automate certain actions in the game

Tournament Structure & Flow

Tournament structure

The tournament is split into two sections, first section takes place online and the second section takes place in a LAN event. Quest/Ooredoo Nation handles all expenses related to travel and accommodation for the event.

1st section (Online Qualifiers):

3 qualifiers take place on the 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th and 26th of April, each qualifier consists of a single elimination BO1 tournament.

The qualifiers happen in 4 regions:

1. UAE Qualifiers, Top 1 player qualifies to the LAN event
2. Qatar Qualifiers, Top 1 player qualifies to the LAN event
3. KSA Qualifiers, Top 1 player qualify to the LAN event
4. Mediterranean Qualifier, Top 1 player qualify to the LAN event

• Players can join the UAE qualifiers if they are located in UAE, Oman or Bahrain.
• Players can join the Qatar qualifiers if they are located in Qatar or Kuwait.
• Players can join the KSA qualifiers if they are located in KSA or Iraq
• Players can Join the Mediterranean qualifier if they are located in Egypt or Lebanon

Registration is open through www.ooredoonation.com

Players are only registered after they join the Discord server and upon completing the instructions they are prompted with.

2nd section (LAN Event):

The 4 winners of the qualifiers will join 12 invited players in the final LAN event, these players play a single elimination tournament. Round of 16, Quarter finals and semifinals are Bo3, Grand finals is a bo5.

• Grand Finals: May 28, 2022 18:00 – 21:00 GMT+3

This tournament is played on the Sony PlayStation 4 FIFA 22 version

You can play using a Ps5 however only the Ps4 version of FIFA 22 is allowed:

1. Format

• 1v1 – Single Elimination

*All the online matches are held on our Discord server as directed by our administration Team on the official discord server.

• Players are split into discord servers based on the server they are playing on.

2. Controller Settings

It affects the following settings:

4. General

The player must show up and compete at the predefined time.

A player is disqualified when failed to show up for his bracket.

The admin team reserves the right to disqualify a player subject to non-compliance with terms. These terms are defined as the tournament progresses.

The tournament administration has the right to decide outside or even against the rulebook in special cases to guarantee fair play.

Match information

Before each match, the admin contacts the players on the Discord channel.

General Communication

Primarily, admins and team captains communicate and coordinate on Discord.

Code of Conduct

Every participant has to behave with respect towards the representatives of Quest, the press, viewers, partners, and other players.

• Compassion: treat others as you would be treated.
• Integrity: Be honest, be committed, play fair.
• Respect: Show respect to all other humans, including teammates, competitors, and event staff.
• Courage: be courageous in competition and in standing up for what is right.

Participants must not engage in harassment or hate speech in any form. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Hate speech, offensive behavior, or verbal abuse related to sex, gender identity, expression, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, or religion.
• Stalking or intimidation (physically or online).
• Spamming, raiding, hijacking, or inciting disruption of streams or social media.
• Posting or threatening to post other people’s personally identifying information (“doxing”).
• Unwelcome sexual attention. This includes unwelcomed sexualized comments, jokes, and sexual advances.
• Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.

Violation of this Code of Conduct results in disqualification, or banning from future Gamers Galaxy events.

5. Public behavior

All participants shall abstain, at all times, from poor, undesirable, or negative behavior towards anybody involved with the tournament in any way.

All participants shall abstain, at all times, from any action or inaction that brings anybody involved with the tournament in any way into public disrepute, contempt, scandal, or ridicule or reduces the public relations or commercial value of any involved party. This includes derogatory comments aimed at Quest, its partners, or products in interviews, statements, and/or social media channels.

6. Match-fixing/betting

Engaging in any action that improperly influences the outcome of a game or match by any means.

Prize Pool

At the end of the Ooredoo Arena Fifa 22 tournament, the winner should contact the tournament administration.

• The tournament administration requests the player to complete a prize payout request which includes mandatory information as well as the needed information for the prize payout.
• Prize money is paid out as per the payment information provided by the player. The prize payout request has to be received, verified, and accepted by the tournament administration. The tournament administration performs the prize money payout as quickly as possible, during a maximum period of 180 days.

Enforcement

Players participating in the tournament are required to agree to all the rules and regulations listed in this handbook before registering. The rules are enforced by Quest Admins and officials.

• All participants must adhere to the decisions and rules of the tournament administrative team, admins, and referees. All decisions are final, except in cases where the option to appeal is clearly stated.
• The tournament administration may, at its sole discretion, change the start time of a match. The tournament administration notify all involved players at the earliest possible convenience.

Reporting

Admins are assigned to respond to player reports on discord for any reasons including but not limited to: cheating, harassment, or misconduct.

Admins promptly investigate reports of misconduct.

It is recommended that players assist admins when it comes to reported issues, and investigations.

Solutions for extreme cases

Notwithstanding the foregoing, if there is an extreme situation, such as a network or hardware failure (including the network value turning yellow or mobile phone stuttering) or a critical bug affecting one or more players, the tournament organizer decides on how to proceed based on the facts and circumstances existing at the time. There may be circumstances in which the tournament must proceed, even though one or more players are facing extreme circumstances or critical bugs. If the circumstances don’t justify a remake of a match, the match would proceed even if the affected players are not at fault in any way. Admins use their best judgment In deciding to proceed with a match or to order a remake. They may consider, among other factors, the game progress time and whether the player making the report is delayed in making such a report.

Players that submit false or misleading reports be subject to disqualification. If a player is unable to compete in a match for any reason (even if the inability to compete is not due to any fault or wrongdoing by the player), and Admins did not call for a remake, the competition continues normally with the affected team continuing to play without the affected player.

A player who has been disconnected or has experienced an extreme circumstance or critical bug is allowed to rejoin the game in progress.

Confidentiality

The content of protests, discussions, or any other correspondence with the administrative team is deemed strictly confidential. The publication of such material is prohibited without written consent from the administrative team.

SQUAD RESTRICTIONS

1. Up to 1 ICON or TOTY Player Item
2. Your Goalkeeper has no restrictions and does not count towards these limits
3. This applies to both your starting 11 and subs
4. Note: Only the standard 12 TOTY Player Items count as a TOTY Player Item.
5. Only Items acquired through gameplay, packs in the in-game store, a promotional offer that was open to all EA SPORTS FIFA players, or the transfer market are permitted
6. Training Items and Loan Players are strictly prohibited.
7. FIFA 22 Pro Player Cards are strictly prohibited.

Ooredoo nation is pushing to make Qatar the capital of Football in the region not only through hosting the FIFA world cup, but also through hosting the one of the biggest eSports FIFA22 cups the “ EA Sports FIFA 22 Champions Cup powered by Ooredoo nation ” in the Aspire Ladie’s sports hall in Qatar with many entertainments, activations, side tournaments and giveaways.

The tournament follows a single elimination format all matches are a Bo3 the grand finals is a BO5 and has a prize pool of USD50,000 where the winner will get USD25,000 , 2^nd position gets USD15,000, and 3d and 4^th positions get USD5,000

The EA Sports FIFA 22 Champions Cup is broadcasted in full VR where viewers can enjoy an elevated experience that goes beyond traditional Arenas. · The event will be a first of its kind, in the region showcasing the importance of esports in the metaverse.

The Lan event Finals are streamed online on youtube and will be broadcast on Ooredoo TV channel 0, and in VR.

Over QAR 100,000 in giveaways will be distributed during the event.
