Social media scammers come up with new ways to scam their victims, by urging them to log into fake and suspicious links in order to hack their data and bank accounts.
Today, Qatar’s social media users in Qatar circulated a video clip showing a piece of fabricated news that impersonates the name and emblem of the Qatari Amiri Diwan and claims to allocate investment projects for citizens looking for an additional or stable income.
According to the fabricated news, the amount of investment in these projects starts at a minimum of 910 QR
In an attempt to get users to click on the fake link, the scammer asked them to register personal details “as soon as possible”.
Ironically, the sentence with which the scammer concluded his fabricated news, “limited number of places” as if it was a process to book a trip to the amusement park or a table at a restaurant.
Tips
In order to prevent cybercrime, the Ministry of Interior advises the importance of adhering to safety guidelines, including:
– Do not open links from unknown sources.
– Periodically change your password.

يبتكر المحتالون في مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي طرقاً جديدة للنصب على ضحاياهم، من خلال حثهم على دخول روابط وهمية ومشبوهة ومن ثم قرصنة بياناتهم وحساباتهم البنكية.
واليوم، تداول رواد مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي في قطر، مقطع فيديو يظهر خبراً مفبركاً ينتحل اسم وشعار الديوان الأميري القطري، ويدعي تخصيص مشاريع استثمارية للمواطنين الباحثين عن داخل إضافي أو ثابت.
ويشير الخبر المفبرك، إلى أن مبلغ الاستثمار في هذه المشاريع يبدأ من 910 ريال كحد أدنى.
وفي محاولة من المحتال لحث المستخدمين للضغط على الرابط الوهمي، طلب منهم تسجيل التفاصيل الشخصية “بأسرع وقت”.
ومما يثير السخرية، تلك الجملة التي ختم بها المحتال خبره المفبرك، وهي أن “عدد الأماكن محدودة” وكأنها عملية لحجز رحلة إلى مدينة الملاهي أو طاولة بأحد المطاعم.

للوقاية من الجرائم الإلكترونية، تنصح وزارة الداخلية بأهمية التقيد بإرشادات السلامة ومنها:
- عدم فتح الروابط الإلكترونية مجهولة المصدر
- تغيير كلمة المرور بشكل دوري.
