Lt. Colonel Jaber Mohamed Odaiba, Assistant Director of the Media and Traffic Awareness Department at the General Directorate of Traffic, confirmed that the department has adopted an awareness program for motorists working in the field of delivery, noting that this program relied on displaying video clips from traffic cameras of previous accidents suffered by their fellow drivers, for them to take it as an example and realize the importance of safe driving.
During his meeting with “Al-Shurta Maak” program broadcast on Qatar Radio yesterday, Monday, Lt. Odeiba said that the spread of bikes for delivery and electric scooters was one of the most prominent phenomena that the administration sought to address in its plan for the current year, confirming that the department has received many complaints over delivery bikes, and the administration sought to find solutions to these complaints.
He stressed that awareness sessions have been organized for motorists taking into account the different driving culture of drivers, especially those from African and Asian countries, stressing the importance of introducing drivers to the traffic culture in Qatar, And making them aware of mistakes that cause chaos on the road, and may eventually cost them their lives.

أكد المقدم جابر محمد عضيبة مساعد مدير إدارة التوعية المرورية بالإدارة العامة للمرور انتهاج الإدارة برنامج توعية خاصاً بسائقي الدراجات النارية العاملين في مجال توصيل الطلبات، مشيرًا إلى أن هذا البرنامج اعتمد على عرض مقاطع مصورة من كاميرات المرور لحوادث سابقة تعرض لها زملاؤهم السائقون، حتى يتخذوا منها العبرة ويدركوا أهمية القيادة الآمنة.
وقال عضيبة خلال لقائه مع برنامج “الشرطة معك” المذاع عبر أثير إذاعة قطر أمس الإثنين إن ظاهرة انتشار الدراجات الخاصة بتوصيل الطلبات والسكوتر الكهربائي كانت إحدى أبرز الظواهر التي سعت الإدارة إلى معالجتها في خطتها للعام الجاري، مؤكدًا ورود شكاوى عديدة من دراجات توصيل الطلبات وسعت الإدارة إلى بحث حلول لتلك الشكاوى.
وأكد عضيبة أنه تم تنظيم محاضرات توعية لسائقي الدراجات النارية مع مراعاة اختلاف ثقافة القيادة لدى السائقين خاصة القادمين من دول أفريقية وآسيوية، مشددًا على أهمية تعريف السائقين الثقافة المرورية المعمول بها في قطر بسبب ارتكابهم أخطاء تتسبب في فوضى بالطريق، كما تتسبب لهم في إصابات وقد تكلفهم حياتهم.
