Drive-in cinema to screen “adventure series”

This week, the Doha Film Institute celebrates the three best adventure movies suitable for family at the Lusail Drive-in Cinema in partnership with Qatar Tourism, from 17 to 19 March.
The first movie, “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” by Mel Stuart, will be presented next Thursday at 7 p.m., starring Gene Wilder, Jack Albertson and Peter Auster. Willy Wonka is a fun old movie that is suitable for all family members. In 1971, when Roald Dahl’s beloved children’s book (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) was made into a movie, the story was written by Roald himself and starred by the famous comedian Gene Wilder – who passed away this year, which came as a shock to his fans. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory came out taking advantage of the fun of the book’s story, adding a heavy dose of psychedelic art and unconventional performances by actors of all ages to provide a unique cinematic experience.
When the world-famous loner Willy Wonka decides to open his factory for five lucky children from all over the world, everyone seeks to find the five golden tickets hidden in wonka chocolate bars. In the end, the five tickets are found and a mindless adventure begins in a factory producing exquisite candy. The point of the story is that greed, selfishness and rude behavior lead to an unpleasant or sticky end in a figurative and real sense.
Brad Bird and Jan Pinkava’s “Ratatouille”, will be presented on Friday, March 18, at 7 p.m
The film deals with the love story of Remy, who lives in Paris, for good food. As he is a gourmet and dreams of becoming a chef in a restaurant, in order to be able to implement all his recipes. The only problem is that he is a rat, not a human. When fate threw him into the sewers below one of the most famous and successful restaurants in Paris, Remy finds himself close to fulfilling his long-sought dream.
The third and final movie in the adventure series is Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland”, starring Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway and Crispin Glover.
It talks about Alice Kingsley, a young girl, and her first visit to Wonderland, but she has grown older and does not remember that wondrous land except in her dreams. But soon her life is turned upside down, during an open-air party with her fiancé, She glimpses a white rabbit and falls into a deep hole after chasing him. She soon meets again the mad hatter, cheshire cat and other creatures and Alice realizes that she has to end the reign of the Red Queen, which has brought terror to the hearts of the population.

تحتفي مؤسسة الدوحة للأفلام هذا الأسبوع بأفضل ثلاثة أفلام مغامرات تناسب الأسرة، وأحبها الى الجمهور بسينما السيارات في لوسيل بالشراكة مع قطر للسياحة، وذلك في الفترة من 17 إلى 19 مارس الجاري.
ويعرض الفيلم الأول يوم الخميس المقبل في السابعة مساء بعنوان “ويلي ونكا ومصنع الشيكولاته” للمخرج ميل ستوارت، تمثيل جين وايلدر، وجاك البرتسون، وبيتر اوستر. ويعدّ فيلم ويلي ونكا من الأفلام القديمة المرحة التي تناسب جميع أفراد الأسرة. في عام 1971 حيث تم تحويل كتاب الأطفال المحبب (تشارلي ومصنع الشوكولاتة) لمؤلفه روالد دال، إلى فيلم،
وكتب قصته روالد نفسه وأدى دور البطولة الممثل الكوميدي الشهير جين وايلدر – الذي وافته المنية هذا العام وكانت صدمة لمعجبينه. وخرج فيلم ويلي ونكا ومصنع الشوكولاتة للنور مستفيداً من المرح الذي ساد قصة الكتاب، ومضيفاً إليه جرعة مكثفة من الفن التخديري (السايكدليك) وأداءً تمثيلياً غير تقليدي لممثلين من مختلف الأعمار لتقديم تجربة سينمائية فريدة.
حين يقرر الناسك الشهير المنعزل عن العالم ويلي ونكا فتح مصنعه لخمسة أطفال محظوظين من جميع أنحاء العالم، ويسعى الجميع للعثور على التذاكر الخمس الذهبية المخبأة في قوالب شوكولاتة ونكا. وفي النهاية يتم العثور على التذاكر الخمس وتبدأ مغامرة طائشة في مصنعٍ لإنتاج الحلوى الرائعة. والمغزى من القصة أن الطمع والأنانية والسلوك الفظ يؤدي إلى نهاية غير سارّة أو لزجة بالمعنى المجازي والحقيقي.
ويعرض الفيلم الثاني “راتاتوي” للمخرجين براد بيرد، وجان بينكافا يوم الجمعة 18 مارس الجاري في السابعة مساء.
ويتناول الفيلم قصة عشق ريمي، الذي يعيش في باريس، للطعام الجيد، فهو لديه ذائقة رفيعة المستوى ويحلم بأن يصبح طاهياً في مطعم، لكي يتمكن من تنفيذ كافة وصفاته. المشكلة تكمن فقط في أنه جرذ وليس إنساناً. وعندما تقع به الأقدار في مجاري الصرف أسفل واحد من أبرز وأنجح مطاعم باريس، يجد ريمي نفسه على مقربة من حلمه الذي لطالما سعى إليه.
أما الفيلم الثالث والأخير ضمن سلسلة أفلام المغامرات فهو “أليس في بلاد العجائب” إخراج تيم برتون، وتمثيل جوني ديب، وميا واسيكوسكا، وهيلينا بونهام كارتر، وآن هاثاواي، وكريسبين غلوفر.
ويتكلم عن أليس كينجزلي فتاةً صغيرة وزيارتها لأرض العجائب لأول مرة، لكنها أصبحت الآن شابة ولا تتذكر أيّ تفاصيل عن تلك الأرض العجيبة إلا في أحلامها. وسرعان ما تنقلب حياتها رأساً على عقب، خلال حفل في الهواء الطلق يجمعها بخطيبها،
إذ تلمح أرنباً أبيضاً وتقع في جُحر عميق بعد أن تطارده. وسرعان ما تلتقي مجدداً بصانع القبعات المجنون وقط شيشاير وغيرها من المخلوقات وتدرك أليس بأن عليها أن تُنهي حكم الملكة الحمراء الذي أدخل الرعب في قلوب السكّان.
