Metal Panels closing street excavations are Disturbing residents and damaging cars

Doha: A number of users of the Service Street, which connects Sabah Al-Ahmad Road with Halul Street in the Mesaimeer area, complained about the metal panels that the company executing the project had installed to cover the street excavations. They stressed that some drivers slow down when passing over them, while others drive at normal speed, which eventually leads to vehicle collisions or traffic confusion.
They pointed out that these metal panels damage the lower parts of the vehicles, cause damage to tyres.
They demanded that the panels be removed quickly and that the excavations they cover are closed as soon as possible, especially that their presence cause inconvenience to people residing near the road due to the loud noise they make when vehicles pass over them.

الدوحة: اشتكى عدد من مستخدمي شارع الخدمات الذي يربط طريق صباح الأحمد بشارع حالول بمنطقة مسيمير، من الألواح المعدنية التي وضعتها الشركة المنفذة للمشروع لتغطية الحفريات، مؤكدين أن بعض السائقين يخفضون سرعتهم إلى أدنى حد عند المرور من فوقها، وفي المقابل هناك آخرون يقودون بسرعتهم الطبيعية ما يؤدي في النهاية لوقوع حوادث اصطدام للمركبات أو إرباك للحركة المرورية.
ولفتوا إلى أن تلك الألواح المعدنية تضر الأجزاء السفلية للمركبات، كما أنها تتسبب في إتلاف الإطارات، كما طالبوا بسرعة إزالة تلك الألواح والانتهاء من أعمال إغلاق الحفريات التي تغطيها في أقرب وقت ممكن، لا سيما أن وجودها يؤدي إلى إزعاج سكان المنازل الواقعة على الطريق بسبب الصوت العالي الذي يصدر منها عند مرور المركبات من فوقها.
