CAPA Qatar aviation summit returns to Doha next year
قطر تستضيف قمة “كابا قطر” للسياسة الجوية وتنظيم الطيران العام المقبل
CAPA Qatar Aviation Aeropolitical and Regulatory Summit will return to Doha next year and will be held on February 5 and 6 in partnership between Qatar Airways and CAPA – Centre for Aviation.
As the first aeropolitical gathering of its kind in the Middle East, the inaugural summit in February 2019 was a resounding success, concluding with agreement on the ‘Doha Declaration,’ a manifesto that calls for a political re-commitment to the principles of liberalisation to foster a more flexible regulatory framework for international air transport.
The summit united more than 300 local and international delegates to hear from more than 35 expert speakers across the aviation, legal and government sectors.
The 2020 summit will again invite senior aviation and transport executives, regional and national regulatory authorities, ambassadors, officials and members of academia, to tap into the latest developments in aviation regulation and policy over two-days of meaningful discussions.
The high-level forum will examine key issues such as regional and global aviation policy trends, institutional and regional challenges to liberalisation, EU comprehensive agreements, the increasing role of politics in aviation and the role of ICAO in the 21st century.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, HE Akbar al-Baker said, “Qatar Airways is delighted to host the CAPA-Qatar Aviation Aeropolitical and Regulatory Summit again in 2020. أعلنت الخطوط الجوية القطرية بالشراكة مع مركز “كابا” للطيران عن استضافة النسخة الثانية لقمة “كابا قطر للسياسة الجوية وتنظيم الطيران” بالدوحة في يومي 5 و6 فبراير2020.
وكانت نسخة العام الماضي من القمة التي استضافتها الدوحة في شهر فبراير قد حققت نجاحاً، حيث اختتمت أعمالها بإشهار “إعلان الدوحة”، الذي يعد بياناً رسمياً يدعو إلى إعادة التأكيد على الالتزام بمبادئ تحرير قطاع الطيران وإجراء مراجعة جدية لإطار العمل التنظيمي لهذا القطاع.
وقد شهدت القمة استضافة أكثر من 300 مشارك من دولة قطر ومختلف دول العالم لسماع آراء أكثر من 35 متحدثا من قطاعات الطيران والقانون والحكومات.
وستشهد قمة العام المقبل دعوة كبار التنفيذيين من قطاعي الطيران والنقل، مع مشاركة السلطات الإقليمية والمحلية والسفراء وكبار المسؤولين على مدار يومين. ويتم خلالها إلقاء الضوء على العديد من القضايا المهمة مثل سياسات الطيران الإقليمية والعالمية، والتحديات المؤسسية والإقليمية التي تواجه تحرير قطاع الطيران، والاتفاقيات الشاملة مع الاتحاد الأوروبي، وتنامي دور السياسة في قطاع الطيران، ودور منظمة الطيران المدني العالمي في القرن الحادي والعشرين.
وفي تصريح له قال سعادة السيد أكبر الباكر، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية “يسرّ الخطوط الجوية القطرية استضافة قمة كابا قطر للسياسة الجوية وتنظيم الطيران مرةً أخرى في عام 2020، ونتطلع قدماً إلى الترحيب بقادة قطاع الطيران وكبار صنّاع القرار في مدينة الدوحة للاستمرار في هذه المحادثات المهمة للمساهمة في الترويج لأهمية الحوار حول الاتجاهات الاستراتيجية المستقبل والتحرير الحالي لقطاع الطيران”.
من جانبه قال السيد بيتر هابريسون، رئيس مجلس الإدارة التنفيذي لـ/كابا/ “تستمر كابا بتسليط المزيد من الضوء على المحادثات المهمة حول القضايا التي تحتاج تطويرا والتي لديها أثر كبير على قطاع الطيران، وتبقى القواعد المنظمة لقطاع الطيران إحدى القضايا التي تستولي على السواد الأعظم من المحادثات على مستوى الشرق الأوسط والعالم.
وأضاف أن من الضروري الاستمرار في تحليل المشاكل المرتبطة بالملكية والمراقبة، والسماء المفتوحة والوصول إلى الأسواق من أجل ضمان ازدهار القطاع، معربا عن سروره بالتعاون مع الخطوط الجوية القطرية مرةً أخرى في عام 2020 ،داعياً كافة قادة القطاع للحضور إلى الدوحة ليكونوا جزءاً من هذه المحادثات وأن يكونوا شركاء في تطوره بحضور صنّاع القرار.
