Doha: Qatar Museums is hosting a series of virtual activities throughout the month of February for children of all ages to learn more about Qatar’s modern history, the science of plants and the National Museum of Qatar’s fascinating collection.
Museum of Islamic Art (MIA)
Grow Your Own Flowers
Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 4pm to 5pm for children aged 8 to 11
This month at MIA is looking forward to Spring and focusing on flowers – children are invited to join virtually to see examples from the museum’s collection, from real life and then pot up their own flower to have at home and watch it grow. For more information email whatsonatmia@qm.org.qa
Science of Plants
Wednesday, February 16, 2022, from 4pm to 5pm for children aged 5 to 7
Islamic art is blooming with plants, leaves and flowers in almost all kinds of objects — from carpets and clothing to metalwork and stone. National Museum of Qatar
Virtual Field Trip
Every Sunday to Wednesday from 9am to 12pm (1 Hour per virtual trip)
Languages: Arabic, English, French, Italian, Chinese, Spanish, Turkish and German
High school students in Qatar and abroad can experience the National Museum of Qatar from their classrooms. The virtual trip delivers a culturally stimulating adventure led by one of NMoQ’s museum guides. The Discovery of Black Gold and Transformation in Qatar
Mondays, 7th and 14th of February (Arabic) from 4pm to 5pm
Tuesdays, 8th and 15th of February (English) from 4pm to 5pm
During these virtual sessions, participants aged 16 and older will learn about the discovery of oil and gas in Qatar and the positive impact the natural reserves had on the transformation and development of the country. For more information email toursnmoq@qm.org.qa
Noura and the Ball Place Virtual Storytelling

Children aged five to 11 will learn about adopting a healthy and sporting lifestyle through “Noora and the Ball”, a story about Noora’s challenge to learn the game of football. After listening to the story, children will be encouraged to engage in variety of fun activities.

الدوحة: أعلنت متاحف قطر عن إطلاق مجموعة من الفعاليات والأنشطة الثقافية الافتراضية خلال شهر فبراير الجاري مخصصة للأطفال.
وتبدأ الفعاليات اعتبارا من يوم الأربعاء 9 فبراير من خلال جولة افتراضية في متحف الفن الإسلامي لمشاهدة أمثلة للزهور من مجموعة المتحف، التي تعكس نظيراتها في الطبيعة الواقعية. وفي يوم الأربعاء 16 فبراير يقدم المتحف ورشة افتراضية لاكتشاف مجموعة من الأزهار والنباتات وكيفية التمييز بينهما ومناقشة مكامن التميز فيها.
أما يوم الخميس 24 فبراير ستقدم متاحف قطر أنشطة متنوعة لمعرفة المزيد عن كوكب الأرض وما يواجهه من تحديات، من خلال “نادي كوكب الأطفال”.
ومن الأحد إلى الأربعاء من كل أسبوع، خلال الفترة الصباحية سيتمكن الطلاب داخل قطر وخارجها، من اكتشاف متحف قطر الوطني من داخل فصولهم الدراسية ، حيث سيخوضون مغامرة ثقافية مع مرشدي المتحف من خلال جولات البث المباشر. ويمكن للمدارس أن تختار أحد الموضوعين التاليين” الحياة على الساحل في قطر”، أو “تاريخ قطر الحديث” للمشاركة في تلك الجولات .
وسيتعرف المشاركون في جولات افتراضية ، على اكتشاف النفط، والغاز الطبيعي في قطر، والتأثير الإيجابي للمحميات الطبيعية في التحول، والتطور الذي شهدته البلاد، وتأثيره على الحياة في دولة قطر باللغتين العربية والانجليزية.
أما يوم 12 فبراير فيخصص للأطفال من عمر 5 إلى 11 عامًا، للتعرف على أسلوب الحياة الصحي، والرياضي، من خلال سرد قصة “نورة والكرة” باللغتين العربية والانجليزية.
