Classic cars in Qatar: How many and to what era do they belong?

The Gulf Qatar Classic Cars Association said that there are more than 4,000 classic cars in Qatar, some dating back to 1920.

On its official Twitter account, the association explained that the acquisition of classic cars represents for many in Qatar a culture and a heritage that must be preserved, and community awareness of it must be increased.

The Gulf Qatar Classic Cars Association was established as an independent, non-profit and non-political professional body on January 19, 2014, under the 2014 Decision of the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs No. 1

The association consists of a group of classic cars collectors, with the aim of bringing them under one entity and providing all services related to these cars, as well as holding exhibitions and competitions for the activity of the Association, and sharing important information related to this area with them

The association includes more than 350 members and provides advisory services to its members through its experts. According to the association’s website, it will soon enable its members to display or buy classic cars on its website for free. It also currently offers its members discounts on inspection and repair of classic cars.

قالت ‏الجمعية الخليجية القطرية للسيارات الكلاسيكية‏ إن هناك أكثر من 4 آلاف سيارة كلاسيكية موجودة في دولة قطر ويعود بعضها إلى عام 1920.

وأوضحت الجمعية – على حسابها الرسمي بموقع تويتر – أن اقتناء السيارات الكلاسيكية تمثل للكثيرين في قطر ثقافة، وتراث يجب المحافظة عليه، وزيادة وعي المجتمع به.

يذكر أن الجمعية الخليجية القطرية للسيارات الكلاسيكية تأسست كهيئة مهنية مستقلة غير ربحية وغير سياسية، في 19 يناير 2014، وذلك بموجب قرار وزير العمل والشؤون الاجتماعية رقم (1) لسنة 2014.

وتتألف الجمعية من مجموعة من الهواة والمهتمين باقتناء السيارات الكلاسيكية، بهدف ضمهم تحت كيان واحد وتقديم كافة الخدمات المتعلقة بهذه السيارات، فضلا عن إقامة المعارض والمسابقات الخاصة بنشاط الجمعية، ومشاركة المعلومات المهمة والمتعلقة بهذا المجال معهم.

وتضم الجمعية أكثر من 350 عضواً، وتقدم خدمات استشارية لأعضائها من خلال خبرائها، ووفق الموقع الإلكتروني للجمعية فقريبا جداً ستمكن أعضاءها من عرض أو شراء السيارات الكلاسيكية على موقعها بالمجان.، كما تقدم حالياً لأعضائها خصومات على الفحص وإصلاح السيارات الكلاسيكية.
