Citizens: Social media celebrities publish news before it is released by ministries

A number of citizens believe that some state institutions and agencies resort to the use of social media celebrities to announce their projects, achievements and news, which indicates the weakness of the social networking sites affiliated with these entities.
Noting that the Qatari community members search and obtain information from its official sources and not through those celebrities who usually announce inaccurate news and information and they contribute to spreading rumors and false news that cause a stir in society.
They called on the concerned authorities to control the process of announcing the news and information of state agencies through social media celebrities, some of whom have become the official spokesperson for various state agencies, institutions and ministries, and some of them have shifted from paid advertisements to publishing the ministries’ news.
They stressed that the dissemination of news and information through the Ministries’ social media platforms remains a place of trust among members of the community, especially since some accurate news and information can not be taken from any other source except the official sites of ministries and state institutions.

يرى عدد من المواطنين ان بعض مؤسسات وجهات الدولة تلجأ للاستعانة بمشاهير السوشيال ميديا للإعلان عن مشاريعها وانجازاتها واخبارها، وهو ما يدل على ضعف مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي التابعة لتلك الجهات، لافتين إلى ان افراد المجتمع القطري يبحثون ويستقون المعلومة من مصدرها الرسمي وليس عن طريق هؤلاء المشاهير الذين عادة ما يعلنون عن اخبار ومعلومات غير دقيقة حتى أصبحوا يساهمون في نشر الشائعات والاخبار المغلوطة التي تسبب احداث ضجة في المجتمع، مطالبين الجهات المعنية بضبط عملية الاعلان عن اخبار ومعلومات جهات الدولة عن طريق المشاهير الذين اصبح بعضهم وكأنه المتحدث الرسمي عن مختلف جهات ومؤسسات ووزارات الدولة، كما ان بعضهم تحول من الاعلانات المدفوعة إلى نشر اخبار الوزارات، مؤكدين ان نشر الاخبار والمعلومات من خلال مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي التابعة للوزارات يبقى محل الثقة لدى أفراد المجتمع، خاصة ان بعض الاخبار والمعلومات الدقيقة لا يمكن اخذها من اي مصدر آخر سوى مواقع الوزارات ومؤسسات الدولة.
