Citizens: Too much Covid information and decisions; the community is overwhelmed

Doha: A number of citizens considered that the amount of information issued by the health sector is confusing the society, especially some decisions which require clarification from a concerned person in the health sector, such decisions which create confusion among people, and are interpreted by each person according to his own understanding of it, like the matters related to quarantine, and the feasibility of the vaccine in light of the rising numbers of cases.

A number of citizens surveyed by “Al-Sharq” confirmed that the infusion of information about the Coronavirus epidemic, precautionary measures, and ways to prevent transmission of infection is absolutely necessary, but the real problem arose as the third wave started in the state, which contributed to the acceleration of the decision-making by the health sector, that placed the public in a whirlpool of information that contributed to the dispersal of the vast majority of society groups, and even contributed to creating a state of panic, especially among the elderly, in light of the rising number of cases. Yet citizens expressed their gratitude for the great efforts made by the health sector to reduce the Coronavirus outbreak in society.

They called for clarification of decisions that require interpretation, so that each decision becomes clear to those concerned without resorting to the interpretations of some, especially that some decisions were unclear.

الدوحة: اعتبر عدد من المواطنين أنَّ كم المعلومات الصادرة عن القطاع الصحي باتت تُحدث إرباكا للمجتمع، خاصة التي تتطلب توضيحا من أحد المعنيين في القطاع الصحي، لشرح بعض القرارات لاسيما التي تُحدث لغطا في الشارع المحلي، ويفسرها كل شخص على حسب فهمه هو لها، ومن بينها المتعلقة بالحجر الصحي، ومدى جدوى اللقاح في ظل ارتفاع الأعداد.

وأكدَّ عدد من المواطنين استطلعت “الشرق” آراءهم أنَّ ضخ المعلومات حيال وباء كورونا والإجراءات الاحترازية، وطرق الوقاية من انتقال العدوى هذه من الضرورة بمكان، إلا أنَّ المشكلة الحقيقية ظهرت مع دخول الدولة الموجة الثالثة من الفيروس، مما أسهم في تسارع إصدار القرارات عن القطاع الصحي، الذي أدخل البعض في دوامة من المعلومات التي أسهمت في تشتيت الغالبية العظمى من فئات المجتمع، بل وأسهمت في خلق حالة من الهلع خاصة لدى كبار السن في ظل ارتفاع أعداد الإصابات. معبرين عن امتنانهم للمجهودات الكبيرة التي يبذلها القطاع الصحي للحد من تفشي كورونا في المجتمع.

وطالب المواطنون بضرورة توضيح القرارات التي تتطلب تفسيرا، حتى تصبح الصورة جلية من قبل المعنيين حتى لا يترك لتفسيرات البعض، سيَّما وأنَّ التفسيرات حيال بعض القرارات غير واضحة.
