Qatar’s Nasser Al-Attiyah Wins Dakar Rally for Fourth Time

Riyadh: Qatari Rally champion Nasser Saleh Al-Attiyah (Toyota) was crowned the champion of the Dakar Desert Rally for the fourth time in his career after the years 2011, 2015 and 2019, at the conclusion of the twelfth and final stage that took place in the Saudi city of Jeddah yesterday 27 minutes and 46 seconds ahead of the French driver Sebastien Loeb, the driver of the “Bahrain Ride Extreme” team.

الرياض: توج السائق القطري ناصر صالح العطية (تويوتا) بطلا لرالي داكار الصحراوي للمرة الرابعة في مسيرته بعد أعوام 2011 و2015 و2019 وذلك في ختام المرحلة الثانية عشرة والأخيرة التي جرت في مدينة جدة السعودية يوم /الجمعة / متقدما بفارق 27 دقيقة و46 ثانية أمام السائق الفرنسي سيباستيان لوب سائق فريق “البحرين رايد إكستريم”.

ونجح العطية الذي خاض السباق مع ملاحه الفرنسي ماثيو بوميل على متن سيارته /تويوتا هايلوكس تي1+/ بالفوز بمرحلتين خلال الرالي بالإضافة الى المرحلة التمهيدية، ليتساوى بعدد الالقاب في رالي داكار مع الفنلندي أري فاتانن لكنه لا يزال بعيدا عن الرقم القياسي المسجل باسم بيترهانسل / 8 / القاب.

وكانت المرحلة الأولى حاسمة بالنسبة للعطية، حيث تمكن هو وملاحه ماثيو بوميل من إيجاد نقطة مرور مخادعة وقع في فخّها الكثير من منافسيه، بما فيهم سائق / آودي / كارلوس ساينز ، وقد برز الفرنسي سيبستيان لوب كأقرب ملاحقي العطية، لكنّه لم يتمكن من الاقتراب كثيرًا من العطية، ولا سيّما مع انكسار الناقل على سيارته في المرحلة الثالثة، ما كلّفه نصف ساعة.

ومع انتصاف الرالي بلغت أفضلية العطية حوالي 50 دقيقة أمام الفرنسي لوب، لكن الأخير تمكن من تقليص الفارق لأقل من 30 دقيقة مع نهاية المرحلة ما قبل الأخيرة، لكن العطية لم يواجه مطلقًا أيّ تهديد بخسارة الصدارة مع فرضه سيطرة كاملة على المنافسات.

وأكمل المتوج باللقب أربع مرات المرحلة الأخيرة في المركز التاسع والتي كانت بطول 164 كلم بين/ بيشة وجدة / لينتزع أول فوز له بداكار منذ انتقاله إلى المملكة العربية السعودية.

واحتل الفرنسي سيبستيان لوب المركز الثاني والذي ما يزال يراوده حلم تحقيق اللقب لإضافته إلى ألقابه التسعة في “دبليو آر سي”، وذلك بعد 6 مشاركات في الرالي الأصعب خلال الأعوام السبعة الأخيرة، فيما حل السائق السعودي يزيد الراجحي ثنائية عربية على منصة تتويج الرالي بحلوله ثالثًا أمام الاسباني أورلاندو تيرانوفا.

وبات العطية أول سائق عربي يفوز في المملكة العربية السعودية، علما بأن انتصاره الأخير يعود للعام 2019 مع فريق /تويوتا/.

وفي فئة الدراجات النارية توج الانجليزي سام سندرلاند بلقب المنافسات وذلك بعد انتهاء المرحلة الأخيرة من السباق التي جرت لمسافة 164 كيلومتراً بين بيشة وجدة، بفارق قارب الدقائق السبع أمام أقرب ملاحقيه التشيلي بابلو كوينتانيا دراج / هوندا/.

وبالرغم من إكمال المرحلة ثانياً، لكنه قدم ما يكفي ليضمن بقاء أفضليته ضمن الترتيب العام حتى النهاية، ليحرز اللقب بفارق 3 دقائق و27 ثانية أمام كوينتانيا ما منح ساندرلاند لقبه الثاني في داكار، حيث أحرز أول لقب له في نسخة 2017، وهو لقبهُ الأول في السعودية لصالح فريق “كاي تي ام”، لينهي سلسلة انتصارات /هوندا / والتي دامت على مدار عامين.

وأكمل ماتياس والكنر ترتيب مراكز منصة التتويج خلف كوينتانيلا، بفارق سبع دقائق و23 ثانية عن ساندرلاند.

وهيمن السائق الانجليزي على مجريات نسخة 2022 ضمن فئة الدراجات، حيث بدأت أفضليته تظهر منذ المرحلة الثانية، ونجح بالحفاظ على فارق بسيط أمام الملاحقين مع الوصول إلى يوم الراحة منتصف الرالي.

وشهدت المرحلة السابعة الصعبة تراجعه ضمن الترتيب، لكنه سرعان ما شق طريقه صعوداً ليفوز في الثامنة وينتزع صدارة الترتيب العام مجدداً.

وتمكن الفرنسي أدريان فان بيفرين من أن يشكل منافسة قوية للإنجليزي ساندرلاتند بعد المرحلة العاشرة، لكنه تراجع في المرحلة 11 بمقدار 15 دقيقة وهذا ما وضعه في المركز الرابع الإجمالي لصالح ياماها، بينما أكمل خوان باريدا ترتيب المراكز الخمسة الأولى لصالح هوندا.

وكان سندرلاند سائق فريق / جاس جاس / توج بلقبه الأول في السباق الشهير في أمريكا الجنوبية في 2017، وأنهى سندرلاند السباق متقدما بفارق ثلاث دقائق و27 ثانية على التشيلي بابلو كينتانيا سائق هوندا بينما احتل النمساوي ماتياس فالكنر سائق كيه.تي.إم المركز الثالث.

وامتد رالي داكار، في نسخته الـ44 منذ تأسيسه والثالثة في المملكة العربية السعودية، على مسار تتجاوز مسافته 8 آلاف كيلومتر، وشهدت هذه النسخة تنافس 1065 مشاركا على متن 578 مركبة في أصعب راليات الرايد الصحراوية، ومشاركة تاريخية هي الأولى من نوعها لثلاث سيارات /هايبريد/ جديدة تحت راية الصانع /أودي/.

وقررت المملكة العربية السعودية استضافة سباق الرالي في عام 2020 على أرضها، في شراكة تستمر 10 سنوات حتى عام 2030.
