Public demands to use the private medical sector to conduct PCR testing

Citizens’ opinions were divided between supporters and opponents of involving the private health sector and granting it approval to conduct PCR tests.
The private health sector is currently allowed to collect blood samples and send it to Hamad Medical Corporation, which plays its part in showing the results of the PCR test.
People supporting the need to involve the private health sector, stressed that it’s a necessary step in light of the high number of daily infection cases, which reached nearly 1,000, and in order to relieve pressure on Hamad Medical Corporation, which in turn provides care for people infected with “Covid-19”, in addition to its routine work in providing therapeutic and medical services to hospital visitors, and since the past days, where PCR results have been delayed, as it exceeded 36 hours for some, causing them to cancel flights, or be quarantined at their homes awaiting the result.
On the other hand, those opposed to the idea of including private health sectors in conducting PCR tests argues that handing out the results of the PCR tests is a matter related to the government health sector, that is to prevent error in the test results. Taking the government sector’s accuracy into consideration, especially since it has quality standards that rise up to level with developed countries in terms of equipment and laboratories and this may not be the same in the private health sector.
They pointed out that the overcrowding that occurred in one of the health facilities was caused by poor organization, which can be rectified by calling a number of volunteers who have been trained since the start of the Coronavirus pandemic with the aim of providing support and assistance to the government health sector.

انقسمت آراء عدد من المواطنين بين مؤيد ومعارض حول إشراك القطاع الصحي الخاص ومنحه الموافقة لاجراء تحليل فحص الـ(PCR).
المتاح للقطاع الصحي الخاص في الوقت الحالي هو سحب العينة وإرسالها إلى مؤسسة حمد الطبية التي تقوم بدورها في إظهار نتائج فحص الـ(PCR).
وجاءت وجهة نظر المؤيدين لضرورة إشراك القطاع الصحي الخاص لاسيما في ظل ارتفاع حالات الإصابة اليومي الذي ناهز الألف حالة، من اجل تخفيف الضغط على مؤسسة حمد الطبية التي بدورها تقوم بتوفير الرعاية للمصابين بفيروس كورونا “كوفيد-19″، إلى جانب عملها الروتيني في تقديم الخدمات العلاجية والطبية للمراجعين.
وقد أظهرت الأيام الماضية حالات تأخير في إظهار النتائج التي تجاوزت عند البعض الـ36 ساعة مما تسبب في إلغاء رحلات البعض، أو إبقائهم في الحجر المنزلي بانتظار النتيجة.
أما وجهة نظر المعارضين، فتجلَّت في أن إظهار نتائج فحص الـ(PCR) شأن يتعلق بالقطاع الصحي الحكومي، وذلك منعا للخطأ في نتائج الفحص، آخذين بعين الاعتبار دقة النتائج سيما وأنَّ القطاع الصحي الحكومي في الدولة يتمتع بمعايير جودة تنافس الدول المتقدمة في المعدات والمختبرات وقد لا يكون الامر ذاته في القطاع الصحي الخاص.
وأشاروا إلى أن الازدحام الذي وقع في أحد المرافق الصحية كان سببه سوء التنظيم، ويمكن علاج عدم التنظيم عبر استدعاء عدد من المتطوعين الذين تم تدريبهم منذ بدء جائحة فيروس كورونا بهدف تقديم الدعم والمساندة للقطاع الصحي الحكومي، إلى جانب تعاون أفراد المجتمع مع التحديثات التي تصدرها وزارة الصحة العامة التي تهدف إلى الحد من انتشار الوباء بالصورة التي تشهدها وشهدتها الدولة خلال الأسابيع الماضية.
