HMC suspends employee vacations due to the high number of coronavirus cases in the community

Doha: Hamad Medical Corporation has taken a “difficult” decision to suspend all pre-approved and future employee leave requests for clinical and administrative staff working in COVID-19 activities, from its date until further notice.
This came in an internal circular from the corporation’s Human Resources Department to all employees, “Al-Sharq obtained a copy of it”, where HMC said that the decision comes due to the high number of people infected with the Covid-19 virus in the State of Qatar and to maintain the global level of health care services provided in all facilities and hospitals.
In the details of the decision, HMC explained that “all the approved vacations for the period from December 28, 2012 to March 31, 2022, will be canceled, and no new vacation requests will be approved”.
HMC added: Employees working in the field of Covid-19 services who wish to obtain emergency leave, can apply manually after obtaining the approval of the head of the department and the head of the medical department / CEO / president concerned.
In its circular to employees, the Human Resources Department of HMC confirmed that they will be compensated for overtime work during this period in accordance with the Corporation’s policy.
The Primary Health Care Corporation has made a similar decision to cancel all staff leave until further notice, and has asked those outside the country to return immediately.

اتخذت مؤسسة حمد الطبية قراراً وصفته بـ “الصعب” بتعليق جميع طلبات إجازات الموظفين التي سبق الموافقة عليها والمستقبلية للموظفين الإكلينيكيين والإداريين الذين يعملون في أنشطة كوفيد-19 وذلك اعتباراً من تاريخه وحتى إشعار آخر.
جاء ذلك في تعميم داخلي من إدارة الموارد البشرية في المؤسسة إلى جميع الموظفين “حصلت الشرق على نسخة منه” حيث قالت المؤسسة إن القرار يأتي نظراً لارتفاع عدد المصابين بفيروس كوفيد-19 في دولة قطر وللحفاظ على المستوى العالمي من خدمات الرعاية الصحية المقدمة في جميع المرافق والمستشفيات.
وفي تفاصيل القرار أوضحت المؤسسة أنه “سيتم إلغاء جميع الإجازات التي تمت الموافقة عليها للفترة من 28 ديسمبر 2012 وحتى 31 مارس 2022، كما لن تتم الموافقة على على أي طلبات إجازات جديدة.
وأضافت: يمكن للموظفين العاملين في مجال مكافحة كوفيد-19 تقديم الذين يرغبون في الحصول على إجازات طارئة فيمكنهم التقدم بطلب يدوي بعد الحصول على موافقة رئيس القسم ورئيس الإدارة الطبية / الرئيس التنفيذي/ الرئيس المعني.
وأكدت إدارة الموارد البشرية بمؤسسة حمد في تعميمها للموظفين على أنه سيتم تعويضهم عن العمل الإضافي خلال هذه الفترة وفقا لسياسة المؤسسة.
يذكر أن مؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية اتخذت قراراً مماثلاً بإلغاء جميع الأجازات حتى إشعار آخر، وطلبت من هم خارج البلاد بالعودة فوراً .
