Doha: On an area of approximately 5,000 square meters, the Mukaynis area includes one of the most dangerous random markets that take place on weekends in different areas, and are visited by large numbers of people. Where street vendors sell various food items, used clothes, leather products and chewing tobacco in an unhealthy atmosphere away from the eyes of censorship and the law.
Al-Raya has spotted the random market, which attracts thousands of workers of Asian and African nationalities, and sees the sale of foodstuffs, frozen goods and various products away from the supervision of the competent authorities.
After the entrance to the Mukaynis area from Salwa Road, 200 meters on the right, a number of huge transport vehicles are lined up behind which the Mukaynis market is hiding, where any market-goer can buy chewing tobacco openly in the market, in addition to the presence of different types of cigarettes, and at the entrance to the market, you can find a number of young people gathering in circles to play games in exchange for sums of money that they bet on in a manner similar to gambling. In the middle of the market from the front to the end, on both sides there are various goods of vegetables and fruits that do not have any data or expiration dates, some of them are in poor condition and the price is agreed upon before buying, and the sale is done by the kilo, with scales provided by sellers.
The market includes places dedicated to the sale of live poultry that are slaughtered in front of the customer, skinned and packed in bags without using any modern tools or water. This is done by a person who sleeps on the ground and places a piece of wood or plastic next to it, a machete and a knife to perform the process of slaughtering, cleaning and cutting.
Next to the poultry, there are mattresses for selling sheep and goat heads, and near it there are even more mattresses for selling frozen fish in unsanitary conditions and far from the eyes of censorship, where two people sit behind each mattress cleaning and cutting fish in an unhealthy atmosphere.
The market also has more than one place to sell used clothes, second-hand cooking pots and plastic utensils.
Nearby, there are more than one place to sell leather products such as ponchos, wallets, card wallets, purses, belts and leather bags for men, women and children. You can also find places to buy frozen chicken cartons, and also buy frozen large chicken pieces and frozen turkey pieces that do not have any information regarding production and expiration date.
Various vegetables are also sold in the market, and you find almost all varieties of tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, green beans, parsley, green coriander, broccoli, potatoes, onions, cauliflower, eggplant, pumpkin, carrots and radish, as well as fruits such as bananas, apples and pomegranates not showing on any of them, the country of origin or expiration date.
On the outskirts of the front and side of the market, a number of people sat cooking unknown street food in a bowl of oil using gas stoves, selling these foods to market-goers. Nearby, a number of people also sat selling kebabs grilled on charcoal, after placing it between a number of cement bricks and then grilling it to be sold. These vendors leave thousands of empty boxes, whether plastic boxes, bags or garbage waste in the vicinity of the market, polluting the place.

الدوحة: على مساحةٍ تقدّرُ بخمسة آلاف متر مربع تقريبًا تضم منطقة مكينس واحدًا من أخطر الأسواق العشوائيّة التي تقام في عطلة نهاية الأسبوع بمناطق مختلفة، وترتادها أعداد كبيرة، ويقومُ فيها الباعة الجائلون ببيع أصناف غذائيّة متنوّعة وملابس مستعملة ومنتجات جلدية وسويكة في أجواء غير صحيّة بعيدًا عن أعين الرقابة والقانون.
الراية رصدت ميدانيًا السوق العشوائي الذي يجذب آلاف العمال من الجنسيات الآسيوية والإفريقيّة، ويشهد بيع مواد غذائيّة ومجمدات ومنتجات متنوّعة بعيدًا عن أعين رقابة الجهات المختصة. فبعد مدخل منطقة مكينس من طريق سلوى بمئتَي متر وعلى اليمين يصطف عدد من سيارات النقل الضخمة التي يختبئ خلفها سوق مكينس، حيث يمكن لأي فرد من روّاد السوق شراء السويكة بشكل علني في السوق فضلًا عن وجود نوعيات مختلفة من السجائر. وفي مدخل السوق تجد عددًا من الشباب يتجمعون في دوائر للعب ألعاب مقابل مبالغ ماليّة يتراهنون عليها فيما يشبه القمار، وفي منتصف السوق من الأمام وحتى نهايته يوجد على الجانبين بضائع متنوّعة من الخضراوات والفاكهة لا توجد عليها أي بيانات أو تواريخ للصلاحية، بعضها بحالة سيئة ويتم الاتفاق على الثمن قبل الشراء، ويتم البيع بالكيلو حيث توجد موازين مع الباعة.
ويضم السوق أماكن مخصصة لبيع الكائنات الحيّة من دواجن حيّة يتم ذبحها أمام الزبون وسلخها وتعبئتها في أكياس دون استخدام أي أدوات حديثة ولا مياه، حيث يتولى ذلك شخص يفترش الأرض ويضع قطعة من الخشب أو البلاستيك وبجواره ساطور وسكين يقوم بعملية الذبح والتنظيف والتقطيع. وبجوار الدواجن يوجد فرش لبيع رؤوس الأغنام والماعز، وبالقرب منه يوجد أكثر من فرش لبيع الأسماك المجمدة في ظروف غير صحية وبعيدًا عن أعين الرقابة، حيث يجلس خلف كل فرش شخصان يقومان بعملية تنظيف الأسماك وتقطيعها في أجواء غير صحيّة.
ويضم السوق أيضًا أكثر من مكان لبيع الملابس المستعملة وآنية الطبخ المستعملة والأدوات البلاستيكيّة.
وفي الجوار يوجد أكثر من مكان لبيع المنتجات الجلديّة من «كابات» ومحافظ نقود ومحافظ كروت ومحافظ نسائية وأحزمة وشنط جلدية رجالي وحريمي وأطفال. وتجد كذلك أماكن لبيع كراتين الدجاج المجمّد، كما يمكنك أيضًا شراء قطع من الدجاج كبير الحجم المجمدة وقطع من الديك الرومي المجمدة التي لا يوجد عليها أي معلومات بخصوص الإنتاج وتاريخ الصلاحية.
وتحظى الخضراوات المختلفة بنصيب الأسد في السوق، وتجد تقريبًا كافة الأصناف من طماطم وخيار وكوسة وفاصوليا خضراء وبقدونس وكزبرة خضراء وبروكلي وبطاطس وبصل وزهرة وباذنجان ويقطين وجزر وفجل، فضلًا عن الفاكهة كالموز والتفاح والرمان غير موضح على أي منها بلد المنشأ أو تاريخ الصلاحية. وعلى أطراف السوق الأمامية والجانبية جلس عدد من الأشخاص لطهي مواد غذائية غير معروفة في قصعة من الزيت مستخدمين مواقد الغاز، حيث يبيعون تلك الأطعمة لرواد السوق. وفي الجوار جلس عددٌ من الأفراد أيضًا يبيعون الكباب المشوي على الفحم بعد أن قاموا بوضع الفحم بين عددٍ من قوالب الطوب الإسمنتي ومن ثم القيام بعملية الشواء. وفي جوار السوق يترك هؤلاء آلاف الصناديق الفارغة سواء كانت صناديق بلاستيكية أم أكياسًا أو مخلفات قمامة تلوّث المكان.
وتنظم وزارات البلدية والتجارة والصناعة والداخلية حملات مشتركة لتوحيد الجهود للحدّ من ظاهرة الباعة الجائلين، حيث تمّ تطبيق استراتيجية مشتركة بين الثلاث جهات لتوحيد الجهود للحدّ من ظاهرة الباعة الجائلين سواء في مدينة الدوحة أو كافة مدن البلاد عن طريق عدة لجان وفرق عمل وحملات مُشتركة.
