18th Edition of Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition Kicks off

Doha: The 18th Edition of Heya Arabian Fashion Exhibition kicked off to shoppers on Sunday, at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC). Organized by Qatar Tourism and Qatar Business Events Corporation (QBEC), this one-of-a-kind exhibition will run until Friday, Dec. 17, adding to the countrys vibrant calendar of events.
This years exhibition is being held under the theme ‘Ignite’, confirming Heya’s commitment to empowering female entrepreneurs in Qatar and the Middle East.
The exhibition was inaugurated by HE Chairman of Qatar Tourism and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker, in the presence of various dignitaries, guests and exhibitors.
HE Chairman of Qatar Tourism and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker said, “Qatar Tourism is pleased to launch the eighteenth edition of Heya, which welcomes talented designers from across the country and region to showcase their one-of-a-kind products and fashion lines. This world-class exhibition is an important part of Qatars calendar of events, bringing together thousands of women to witness exclusive collections and the latest fashion innovation. I am confident visitors and residents alike will discover anew our authentic tourism experiences and Service Excellence in Qatar.”
The opening day activities featured an introductory talk show with CEO of Doha Film Institute Fatma Al Remaihi, CEO and Founder of Papillon Jewellery Noura Al Ansari, and two fashion shows, by the Embassy of Indonesia, and Al Hasnaa Signature designer line. While the first day was open to both male and female attendees, the exhibition will henceforth be reserved only for women.
This year’s edition features over 130 brands from the GCC, India, Indonesia, Lebanon, Morocco, Qatar and Turkey, allowing visitors to discover the best regional and international designs. The collections range from high-street fashion to haute couture, luxury modest evening gowns and abayas, in addition to accessories, cosmetics and perfumes.
This year, for the first time, Heya is partnering with AlHosh Gallery in Msheireb Downtown, where the work of local artists will be shown. Heya is bringing together emerging and established designers to strengthen Qatar’s position as a major retail destination and center for fashion innovation.

الدوحة: افتتحت الأمس فعاليات معرض /هي/ للأزياء العربية 2021 في نسخته الثامنة عشرة تحت شعار /توهجي/، في مركز الدوحة للمعارض والمؤتمرات، والذي ينظمه جهاز /قطر للسياحة/ وشركة قطر لفعاليات الأعمال، ويستمر حتى الـ17 من الشهر الجاري.
وحضر الافتتاح سعادة السيد أكبر الباكر رئيس جهاز قطر للسياحة والرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية، وعدد من كبار الشخصيات والضيوف.
وقال سعادة السيد أكبر الباكر في كلمة له بهذه المناسبة: “نسعد في جهاز /قطر للسياحة/ أن نطلق النسخة الثامنة عشرة من معرض هي للأزياء العربية، والذي يستضيف مصممين موهوبين من دولة قطر والمنطقة لعرض تصاميمهم المواكبة لأجمل صيحات الموضة الفريدة من نوعها”.
وأشار سعادته إلى أن هذا المعرض يعد جزءا مهما من رزنامة الفعاليات في الدولة، حيث يجمع آلاف النساء للتعرف على المجموعات الحصرية وأحدث صيحات الموضة.
وتشهد نسخة المعرض لهذا العام أكثر من 130 علامة تجارية من دول الخليج العربي والهند وإندونيسيا ولبنان والمغرب وتركيا، مما يوفر للزوار فرصة لاكتشاف أفضل التصاميم الإقليمية والدولية، تتضمن تشكيلات متنوعة من الأزياء الراقية والفاخرة من فساتين السهرة والعباءات المحتشمة، إضافة إلى الإكسسوارات ومستحضرات التجميل والعطور.
كما يضم أيضا ممثلين عن مركز /بداية/، وجامعة فرجينيا كومنولث للفنون، ومؤسسة الدوحة للأفلام، وبرنتان الدوحة، ومجلة HARPERS BAZAAR QATAR، والعديد من الشركات الأخرى.
ويواصل معرض /هي/ للأزياء العربية دعمه للمصممين ورواد الأعمال الطموحين، من خلال سلسلة فريدة من تسعة برامج حوارية تلقي الضوء على المصممين، وكذلك الشخصيات البارزة في التعليم والأزياء والإعلام، فضلا على تنظيم ثمانية عروض أزياء.
إلى ذلك، يدعم المعرض /الأزياء من أجل قضية/، بالشراكة مع مؤسسة التعليم فوق الجميع التي توفر فرصا تعليمية أفضل للأطفال، إضافة إلى الشراكة مع مركز الشفلح للأطفال ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، حيث قام طلاب المركز بعرض تصاميمهم وإبداعاتهم للزوار.
ويفتح المعرض أبوابه للجمهور من الساعة العاشرة صباحا وحتى العاشرة مساء من الأحد إلى الخميس، ويوم الجمعة من الثالثة عصرا إلى العاشرة مساء.
