Qatari-Saudi Statement Reflects Common Will for Distinguished Bilateral Relations

Doha: The newspapers issued today highlighted the joint statement issued by the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the visit of HRH Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud to the State of Qatar.

In their editorials, the newspapers stressed that the statement reflects the common will of the two countries to strengthen their bilateral relations and establish a new phase of cooperation and strategic coordination in all fields.

Al-Sharq said that the results of the Qatari-Saudi talks and the sixth meeting of the Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council, which was held under the co-chairmanship of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HRH Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, formed the joint vision of the two countries to make the Council an institutional basis for launching bilateral cooperation in all fields to the highest levels of partnership.

The paper added that the busy program of the visit of HRH the Saudi Crown Prince, and the warm welcome of HH the Amir, who led well-wishers to welcome and the farewell of his brother Prince Mohammed bin Salman upon his arrival and departure from the Doha International Airport, reflect the strength of the brotherly relations between the two countries and the common desire to deepen cooperation between them in all fields, which was expressed by the Saudi Crown Prince in his cable to HH the Amir after leaving Doha.

The newspaper pointed out that the beginning of the joint statement issued by the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the visit highlighted the fruitful results of the Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council. The statement stressed in its introduction that the visit came out of the solid historical relations, close brotherly bonds, ties of kinship and common destiny that unite the two countries, and based on the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

Al-Sharq stressed that the historical relations linking the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in various social, political, security, economic and cultural fields are based on common constants since ancient times, based on love and rapprochement between the leaderships of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples. It added that the coming period will witness several initiatives that will push the partnership to limitless levels, driven by a strong will of the leadership in the two countries, where His Highness noted the keenness and interest of the Kingdom’s leadership in strengthening relations, stressing that the visit frames distinguished bilateral relations and pushes relations to broader horizons in all fields. 

Al-Raya newspaper said that the joint statement of the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the visit of HRH Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud to Doha on Dec. 8-9, highlighted the successful meeting of the Qatari-Saudi Joint Coordination Council, which reviewed bilateral cooperation relations and ways of developing and strengthening them, as well as the most prominent developments and challenges in the region. The two sides exchanged views on developments in the region and the world and agreed to coordinate bilateral efforts for the interest, security, and stability of the region.

The paper pointed out that such meetings at the highest levels enhance the distinguished relations between the brothers, to reach the stage of strategic integration, as the relationship between Qatar and Saudi Arabia is well-established, rooted, and in constant development.

The newspaper added that the joint statement issued by the Qatari-Saudi summit in Doha came to confirm the strength of the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and also to establish a new phase in bilateral cooperation and strategic coordination towards issues that include all fields. It noted that the two sides affirmed their determination to strengthen cooperation towards all political issues and seek to crystallize common positions that preserve their security and stability for the two brotherly countries. They also stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation regarding developments in all bilateral and multilateral forums, in a manner that contributes to achieving security, stability, and prosperity in the two brotherly countries and the region.

Regarding security and military affairs, the two sides expressed their satisfaction with the military cooperation between the two countries. Concerning the economic and commercial affairs, they affirmed their determination to develop the existing aspects of cooperation and work to increase the volume of inter-trade, facilitate the flow of trade movement and benefit from economic, commercial, and industrial opportunities.

Al-Raya also indicated that Qatar and Saudi Arabia agreed to enhance means of cooperation on international climate policies and to cooperate in implementing the Middle East Green Initiative launched by HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman. In this context, the Saudi side expressed its appreciation for Qatar’s support for the initiative and its plan to plant one million trees before the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and plant 10 million trees by 2030.

The two sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual concern and affirmed work to coordinate their positions to serve their interests and enhance security and stability in the region and the world.

Al-Raya noted that the two sides also affirmed their support for achieving peace in the Middle East, and the importance of reaching a comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in accordance with the two-state solution, relevant international legitimacy resolutions, and the Arab Peace Initiative. On the Yemeni issue, they commended the consensus of their views on continuing their efforts to find a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis, based on the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism, the outcomes of the comprehensive national dialogue conference, and UN Security Council Resolution No. 2,216.

Al-Watan newspaper confirmed that the joint statement issued by the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reflected the determination of the two brotherly countries to enhance cooperation on all political issues and develop common positions that preserve the two brotherly countries’ security and stability. It also stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation regarding developments in bilateral and multilateral forums, in a way that contributes to achieving security, stability, and prosperity in the two brotherly countries and the region.

In its editorial, the paper indicated that the sixth meeting of the Qatari-Saudi Coordination Council was held in an atmosphere of brotherhood, understanding, and mutual trust, under the co-chairmanship of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HRH Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, with the participation of Their Highnesses and Excellencies Members of the Council of the two sides.

Al-Watan explained that the two sides discussed the strong brotherly relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance them for their common good and interests. They also discussed ways to support and enhance joint Gulf action to achieve security and stability in the region, in addition to discussing the most prominent regional and international developments of common interest.

Al-Watan concluded that the intensive and reciprocal visits between Doha and Riyadh, which have intensified since the beginning of this year, are an expression of the common desire between the two parties to develop solid historical relations based on mutual respect and common interest, which has gained them more momentum and effectiveness.

وأكدت الصحف ،في افتتاحياتها، أن البيان يعكس الإرادة المشتركة للبلدين على تعزيز علاقاتهما الثنائية، والتأسيس لمرحلة جديدة من التعاون والتنسيق الاستراتيجي تجاه القضايا التي تشمل كافة المجالات.

وقالت صحيفة /الشرق/ إن نتائج المباحثات القطرية – السعودية والاجتماع السادس لمجلس التنسيق القطري السعودي، الذي جاء برئاسة مشتركة من حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، وأخيه صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ولي العهد نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الدفاع بالمملكة العربية السعودية، وما تم إنجازه خلال الاجتماع، شكلت الرؤية المشتركة للبلدين لجعل المجلس قاعدة مؤسسية للانطلاق بالتعاون الثنائي في كل المجالات إلى أعلى مستويات الشراكة.

وأضافت أن البرنامج الحافل لزيارة سمو ولي العهد السعودي، والحفاوة التي قوبل بها من حضرة صاحب السمو، الذي حرص على أن يكون في مقدمة مستقبلي ومودعي أخيه الأمير محمد بن سلمان، لدى وصوله، ولدى مغادرته مطار الدوحة الدولي، أصدق تعبير عن متانة العلاقات الأخوية بين البلدين الشقيقين، والرغبة المشتركة في تعميق التعاون بينهما في المجالات كافة، وهو ما أعرب عنه ولي العهد السعودي في برقيته التي بعث بها لسمو الأمير المفدى بعد مغادرة الدوحة.

وأشارت الصحيفة إلى أن ما جاء في استهلال البيان المشترك الذي صدر عن دولة قطر والمملكة العربية السعودية بمناسبة الزيارة يكفي للدلالة على النتائج المثمرة التي خرج بها مجلس التنسيق القطري السعودي، حيث أكد البيان في مقدمته على أن الزيارة جاءت انطلاقا من العلاقات التاريخية الراسخة والأواصر الأخوية الوثيقة ووشائج القربى والمصير المشترك التي تجمع بين البلدين، وبناءً على توجيهات خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود – حفظه الله.

وشددت /الشرق/ على أن العلاقات التاريخية التي تربط بين دولة قطر والمملكة العربية السعودية في مختلف المجالات، الاجتماعية والسياسية والأمنية والاقتصادية والثقافية، تستند إلى ثوابت مشتركة منذ القدم، أساسها المحبة والتقارب بين قيادتي البلدين والشعبين الشقيقين، وهي موعودة بمبادرات من شأنها الدفع بالشراكة إلى مستويات لا حدود لها، مدفوعة بإرادة قوية من القيادة في البلدين، حيث نوه صاحب السمو بحرص واهتمام قيادة المملكة بتعزيز العلاقات، مؤكداً أن الزيارة تؤطر لعلاقات ثنائية متميزة وتدفع بالعلاقات لآفاق أرحب في جميع المجالات.

من جانبها، قالت صحيفة /الراية/ إن صدور البيان المشترك عن دولة قطر والمملكة العربية السعودية بمناسبة الزيارة التي قام بها صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ولي العهد نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الدفاع بالمملكة العربية السعودية الشقيقة، للدوحة يومي 8 و9 ديسمبر الجاري، جاء تتويجا للاجتماع السادس لمجلس التنسيق القطري السعودي المشترك الذي كان ناجحا بكل المقاييس، حيث تم استعراض علاقات التعاون الثنائي وسبل تنميتها وتعزيزها، وكذلك أبرز التطورات والتحديات في المنطقة، وتبادل الجانبان وجهات النظر حول ما يحدث في الإقليم والعالم، وتم الاتفاق على تنسيق الجهود الثنائية من أجل صالح وأمن واستقرار المنطقة.

وأشارت إلى أن مثل هذه الاجتماعات على أعلى المستويات بين الجانبين تضخ دماء جديدة في العلاقات المتميزة بين الأشقاء، وصولا إلى مرحلة التكامل الاستراتيجي، فالعلاقة بين قطر والسعودية راسخة ومتجذرة وفي تطور دائم.

وأضافت الصحيفة أن البيان المشترك الصادر عن القمة القطرية السعودية في الدوحة جاء ليؤكد قوة ومتانة العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين الشقيقين، وليؤسس كذلك لمرحلة جديدة في التعاون الثنائي والتنسيق الاستراتيجي تجاه القضايا التي تشمل كافة المجالات.. مشيرة إلى أن الجانبين أكدا عزمهما على تعزيز التعاون تجاه جميع القضايا السياسية، والسعي لبلورة مواقف مشتركة تحفظ للبلدين الشقيقين أمنهما واستقرارهما، كما أكدا على أهمية استمرار التنسيق والتشاور إزاء التطورات والمستجدات في كافة المحافل الثنائية والمتعددة الأطراف، وبما يساهم في تحقيق الأمن والاستقرار والازدهار في البلدين الشقيقين والمنطقة.

وفي الشأن الأمني والعسكري، أعرب الجانبان عن ارتياحهما للتعاون العسكري بين البلدين، وفي الشأن الاقتصادي والتجاري، أكدا عزمهما على تطوير أوجه التعاون القائمة والعمل على زيادة حجم التجارة البينية، وتسهيل تدفق الحركة التجارية والاستفادة من الفرص الاقتصادية والتجارية والصناعية.

كما أشارت /الراية/ إلى أن قطر والسعودية اتفقتا على تعزيز سبل التعاون حول سياسات المناخ الدولية، والتعاون على تنفيذ مبادرة الشرق الأوسط الأخضر التي أطلقها صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير محمد بن سلمان، وفي هذا الإطار أعرب الجانب السعودي عن تقديره لدعم دولة قطر مبادرة الشرق الأوسط الأخضر المهمة وإعلانها زرع مليون شجرة قبل بطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022، وزراعة 10 ملايين شجرة بحلول 2030، كما تبادل الجانبان وجهات النظر حول المسائل والقضايا التي تهم البلدين على الساحتين الإقليمية والدولية، وأكدا العمل على تنسيق مواقفهما بما يخدم مصالحهما ويعزز الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة والعالم.

ونوهت بأن الجانبين أكدا أيضا دعمهما لتحقيق السلام في منطقة الشرق الأوسط، وأهمية التوصل إلى تسوية شاملة للنزاع الفلسطيني الإسرائيلي وفقا لحل الدولتين، وقرارات الشرعية الدولية ذات الصلة، ومبادرة السلام العربية، وفي الشأن اليمني، أشادا بتوافق وجهات نظرهما حول مواصلة جهودهما لإيجاد حل سياسي شامل للأزمة اليمنية، يقوم على المبادرة الخليجية وآليتها التنفيذية ومخرجات مؤتمر الحوار الوطني الشامل وقرار مجلس الأمن الدولي رقم (2216).

ومن ناحيتها، أكدت صحيفة /الوطن/ أن البيان المشترك الصادر عن دولة قطر والمملكة العربية السعودية، عكس عزم البلدين الشقيقين على تعزيز التعاون تجاه كافة القضايا السياسية، والسعي لبلورة مواقف مشتركة تحفظ للبلدين الشقيقين أمنهما واستقرارهما، كما أكد على أهمية استمرار التنسيق والتشاور إزاء التطورات والمستجدات في كافة المحافل الثنائية والمتعددة الأطراف، وبما يسهم في تحقيق الأمن والاستقرار والازدهار في البلدين الشقيقين والمنطقة.

وأوضحت أن الجانبين بحثا العلاقات الأخوية الوطيدة بين البلدين الشقيقين، وسبل تعزيزها لما فيه خيرهما ومصلحتهما المشتركة.. وناقشا سبل دعم وتعزيز العمل الخليجي المشترك بما يحقق الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة، إضافة إلى بحث أبرز المستجدات الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك.

وخلصت /الوطن/ إلى أن الزيارات المكثفة والمتبادلة بين الدوحة والرياض، التي لم تنقطع منذ مطلع العام الجاري، تمثل تعبيرا عن الرغبة المشتركة بين الطرفين، في تطوير العلاقات التاريخية المتينة على أساس الاحترام المتبادل والمصلحة المشتركة، ما أكسبها مزيدا من الزخم والفاعلية.
