دعوات لتعزيز إجراءات السلامة في مشاريع الطرق في المناطق السكنية

Doha: A number of drivers complained about the decline in the level of safety measures in road projects, especially those carried out in residential areas and commercial streets.
“Compared to previous years, companies were keen to adhere to the most basic safety standards,” they added, pointing out that one of the neglects that road users constantly notice is the roaming of automated equipment on the road without the presence of an escort vehicle to warn drivers of them, as well as some companies move and transport them during peak times, causing traffic jams due to their slow speed which forces drivers to drive at low speeds.
They called on the Public Works Authority to oblige companies to follow public safety procedures and to require them not to drive automated equipment during peak times or to use vehicles intended to transport vehicles and equipment from one location to another in order to protect the safety of road users from cars and pedestrians.

الدوحة: اشتكى عدد من السائقين من تراجع مستوى إجراءات السلامة في مشاريع الطرق، خاصة التي يتم تنفيذها في المناطق السكنية والشوارع التجارية، وذلك مقارنة بالأعوام السابقة، حيث كانت الشركات حريصة على الالتزام بأبسط معايير السلامة، لافتين إلى أن أحد أوجه الإهمال التي أصبح مستخدمو الطرق يلاحظونها باستمرار هو تجول المعدات الآلية على الطريق دون وجود مركبة مرافقة لتحذير السائقين منها، فضلًا عن قيام بعض الشركات بتحريكها ونقلها خلال أوقات الذروة، ما يُحدث زحامًا مروريًا بسبب سيرها البطيء الذي يجبر السائقين على القيادة بسرعات منخفضة.
وطالبوا هيئة الأشغال العامة «أشغال» بضرورة إلزام الشركات باتباع إجراءات السلامة العامة ومطالبتهم بعدم قيادة المعدات الآلية خلال أوقات الذروة أو اللجوء لاستخدام السيارات المخصصة لنقل المركبات والمعدات من موقع إلى آخر حفاظًا على سلامة مستخدمي الطريق من السيارات والمشاة.
