MoCI Conducts Inspection Campaign on Street Vendors

Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) carried out an inspection campaign on street vendors in Abu Nakhleh Azab Complex area today to monitor the extent to which suppliers (roving vendors) comply with their obligations stipulated by laws and decisions related to commercial, industrial, public stores and street vendors, and the controls and requirements of licenses needed to engage in the activity of a street vendor.
The ministry explained that the inspection campaign resulted in the issuance of 7 violations for a number of street vendors, for engaging in an activity without a commercial license. The ministry referred the violators to the competent authorities to take legal action against them.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry confirmed that these inspection campaigns come within the framework of the Ministry’s keenness to monitor compliance with the laws and regulations regulating the practice of commercial activities to control violations and detect abuses.
The ministry warned that it will not tolerate anyone who violates their obligations stipulated in Law No. (5) of 2015 regarding similar industrial and public shops and street vendors, and Ministerial Resolution No. 243 of 2016 regarding the controls and requirements for licenses to engage in the activity of a street vendor.
It stressed that it will work to intensify its inspection campaigns to control such violating practices, and will refer anyone who violates laws and ministerial decisions to the competent authorities to take appropriate measures against them to protect the rights of consumers.
The Ministry urged all citizens and residents to report any violations or abuses through the call center: 16001, and the accounts of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on social media (Twitter MOCIQATAR, Instagram MOCIQATAR).

الدوحة: نفذت وزارة التجارة والصناعة، يوم أمس، حملة تفتيشية على الباعة المتجولين في منطقة مجمع عزب أبو نخلة، وذلك لمراقبة مدى تقيد المزودين (الباعة المتجولين) بالتزاماتهم المنصوص عليها بالقوانين والقرارات المتعلقة بالمحال التجارية والصناعية والعامة المماثلة والباعة المتجولين، وبضوابط واشتراطات التراخيص بمزاولة نشاط بائع متجول.
وأوضحت الوزارة أن الحملة التفتيشية أسفرت عن تحرير 7 محاضر ضبط لعدد من الباعة المتجولين المخالفين، وذلك لقيامهم بمزاولة نشاط بدون ترخيص تجاري، وإحالة المخالفين للجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية بحقهم.
وأكدت وزارة التجارة والصناعة أن هذه الحملات التفتيشية تأتي في إطار حرص الوزارة على مراقبة مدى الالتزام بالقوانين واللوائح المنظمة لممارسة الأنشطة التجارية، بهدف ضبط المخالفات والكشف عن التجاوزات.
ونبهت إلى أنها لن تتهاون مع كل من يخل بالتزاماته المنصوص عليها في القانون رقم (5) لسنة 2015، بشأن المحال التجارية الصناعية والعامة المماثلة والباعة المتجولين، والقرار الوزاري رقم 243 لسنة 2016، بشأن ضوابط واشتراطات التراخيص بمزاولة نشاط بائع متجول.
وأكدت أنها ستعمل على تكثيف حملاتها التفتيشية لضبط مثل هذه الممارسات المخالفة، وستحيل كل من يخالف القوانين والقرارات الوزارية إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات المناسبة ضده وذلك حماية لحقوق المستهلكين.
وحثت الوزارة جميع المواطنين والمقيمين على الإبلاغ عن أي تجاوزات أو مخالفات من خلال مركز الاتصال: 16001، وحساب وزارة التجارة والصناعة على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي (توتير @MOCIQATAR، والانستغرام MOCIQATAR).
