EgyptAir innaugurates new office in Doha

Doha: Egypt’s flagship carrier, EgyptAir, inaugurated on Tuesday a new office in the Qatari capital of Doha in the presence of several officials from both countries.
The inauguration ceremony was held on the sidelines of the 54th meeting of the General Assembly of the Arab Air Carriers Organisation, which is being held in Qatar.
Amr Abu El-Enein, the chairman of EgyptAir; Amr El-Sherbiny, Egypt’s ambassador to Doha; in addition to Akbar Al-Baker, the CEO of Qatar Airways Group, attended the ceremony.
In an official statement, EgyptAir said the step comes within the framework of implementing the strategy of the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation and EgyptAir to develop all travel services and procedures provided to customers around the world.
The new office is supported by a highly experienced staff and equipped with top-notch technologies that provide all travel and booking services, the statement said.
Tuesday’s inauguration is the latest move towards promoting bilateral relations between the two countries since the restoration of Egyptian-Qatari ties in January after a four-year hiatus following the signing of the Al-Ula Declaration.
Previously, Egypt, alongside Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain severed all diplomatic ties and transport links with Qatar in June 2017, accusing Doha of backing radical Islamist groups and cooperating with Iran. Qatar had always denied such accusations.
In January, the Arab quartet signed the Al-Ula Declaration with Qatar, restoring diplomatic, economic, and travel ties with Doha.
Following the signing of the declaration, both countries exchanged ambassadors in the summer while EgyptAir and Qatar Airways resumed flights between the two countries’ capitals.
EgyptAir is currently operating a daily flight between Cairo and Doha.
Both countries formed an Egyptian-Qatari committee that is tasked with developing relations between Cairo and Doha. The committee has held three rounds of talks so far throughout the year.

افتتحت شركة مصر للطيران مكتبا جديدا لها في الدوحة وذلك على هامش فعاليات الجمعية العامة الرابعة والخمسين للاتحاد العربي للنقل الجوي الأكو المقامة في الفترة من 10 إلى 12 نوفمبر الحالى فى الدوحة.
وبحسب وسائل إعلام مصرية فقد افتتح المكتب الطيار عمرو أبوالعينين رئيس مجلس إدارة الشركة القابضة لمصر الطيران بحضور السيد أكبر الباكر – الرئيس التنفيذى لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية ورئيس الجمعية العامة الحالية، وعبد الوهاب تفاحة أمين عام الاتحاد العربى للنقل الجوى الـAACO وسفير مصر بالدوحة عمرو الشربينى والشيخ جاسم بن حمد آل ثانى نائب رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة عبر الشرق للسفر والسياحة وعدد من الشخصيات.
و يتيح المكتب الجديد الخدمات الخاصة بالعملاء، بالإضافة لمكاتب إدارة التسويق والمبيعات كما يضم مركزا للخدمة التليفونية مجهز بأحدث التقنيات والتي من شأنها توفير كافةخدمات السفر والحجوزات، ويتسم طاقم العمل بالخبرة العالية والاحترافية في مجال الطيران والخدمات المساندة لها
من جانبها أعلنت السفارة المصرية فى الدوحة مشاركة ممثلها السفير عمرو الشربينى الذى صرح بأن افتتاح المكتب فى الدوحة جاء فى أعقاب زيارة المهندس أشرف نوير رئيس سلطة الطيران المدني إلى الدوحة فى سبتمبر الماضي، وتوقيع مذكرة تفاهم في مجال النقل الجوي مع الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني في قطر، والتي تم بموجبها زيادة عدد رحلات مصر للطيران إلى الدوحة.
جدير بالذكر أن مصر للطيران تسير حاليا رحلة يوميا بين القاهرة الي الدوحة بأحدث طرازات الشركة.
