Cabins compete with tents in wild camps

Doha: The land areas on the Rawdat Rashid Road in Umm al-Zubar and Busalah witnessed a large demand from citizens to prepare winter camps, taking advantage of the weekend to set up camps with the help of technicians and specialized companies to speed up the processing of the camps, especially since most of them delayed the transfer of camping supplies to their designated locations.

A number of campers in the wild areas, in remarks to Al Raya: They were keen this season to bring cabins to camping sites unusually, because it is indispensable in light of the vagaries of the weather in winter, pointing out that temperatures last year were high, especially in the afternoon, which led them to allocate at least one cabin for the gathering of family or young people, as well as protect them from rainwater.

They suggested to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change to divide the camping areas located in Busalah and Rawdat Rashid Road into areas specified for families and others for young men, to provide privacy and a tranquil atmosphere for families who go to the wild areas to enjoy the picturesque nature, pointing out that many campers in the wild areas are keen to set up camps for their families only. They pointed out that camping in the wild areas is a great pleasure for them more than the marine areas, considering that the wild land is an authentic part of the cultural heritage through which they are keen to teach their children some customs related to the life of the badia of honoring guests and igniting fire and preparing coffee and serving it to guests and the great reverence for the elderly in gatherings and other authentic customs enjoyed by Qataris, in addition to the fact that camping is an opportunity to enjoy nature away from the hustle of life and electronic devices and virtual games, as well as to meet parents and friends in an open atmosphere.

They stressed that there are two main problems facing the campers in Busalah, the small number of garbage bins, as the nearest container is far from their location, as well as the exploitation of some companies specialized in preparing the camps for the camping season and imposing inflated costs for the work of equipment, pointing out that the cost of installing the outer wall of the camp only reached 7000 riyals other than the value of extending electrical connections and lighting and installing tents and other equipment exceeding 5000 riyals.

الدوحة: شهدت المناطق البرية الواقعة على طريق روضة راشد في أم الزبار وبوصلة إقبالًا كبيرًا من المواطنين لتجهيز المخيمات الشتوية، حيث استغلوا الإجازة الأسبوعية لإقامة المخيمات مستعينين بالفنيين والشركات المتخصصة لتسريع تجهيز المخيمات، لا سيما أن معظمهم تأخروا في نقل مستلزمات التخييم إلى المواقع المحدّدة لهم.

وقال عدد من المخيمين بالمناطق البرية، في تصريحات لـ الراية: إنهم حرصوا هذا الموسم على جلب الكبائن لمواقع التخييم على غير المعتاد، لأنه لا يمكن الاستغناء عنها في ظل تقلبات الجو التي يشهدها فصل الشتاء، مشيرين إلى أن درجات الحرارة العام الماضي كانت مرتفعة، خاصة في فترة الظهيرة، ما دفعهم لتخصيص كابينة واحدة على الأقل لتجمع الأسرة أو الشباب، فضلًا عن حمايتهم من مياه الأمطار.

واقترحوا على وزارة البيئة والتغير المناخي العمل على تقسيم مناطق التخييم الواقعة في بوصلة وطريق روضة راشد إلى مناطق تخييم للأسر وأخرى للشباب، لتوفير الخصوصية والأجواء الهادئة للأسر التي تقصد المناطق البرية للاستمتاع بالطبيعة الخلابة، لافتين إلى أن الكثير من المخيمين في المناطق البرية حريصون على إقامة مخيمات خاصة بأسرهم فقط. وأشاروا إلى أن التخييم بالمناطق البرية يشكل لهم متعة كبيرة أكثر من المناطق البحرية، باعتبار أن البر جزء أصيل من الموروث الثقافي الذي يحرصون من خلاله على تعليم أبنائهم بعض العادات المرتبطة بحياة البادية من إكرام الضيوف وعمل شبّة الضّو وإعداد القهوة وتقديمها للضيوف وتوقير الكبير في التجمعات وغيرها من العادات الأصيلة التي يتمتع بها القطريون، بالإضافة إلى أن التخييم فرصة للاستمتاع بالطبيعة بعيدًا عن صخب الحياة والأجهزة الإلكترونية والألعاب الافتراضية، فضلًا عن لقاء الأهل والأصدقاء في أجواء مفتوحة.

وأكدوا أن هناك مشكلتين رئيسيتين تواجهان المُخيمين في بر بوصلة، قلة عدد صناديق القمامة، حيث إن أقرب حاوية تبعد كثيرًا عن موقعهم، فضلًا عن استغلال بعض الشركات المُتخصصة في تجهيز المخيمات لموسم التخييم وفرض تكاليف مُبالغ بها نظير أعمال التجهيزات، مشيرين إلى أن تكلفة تركيب السور الخارجي للمخيم فقط وصلت 7000 ريال بخلاف قيمة تمديد الوصلات الكهربائيّة والإنارة ونصب الخيام وغيرها من التجهيزات الأخرى التي تتخطى 5000 ريال.
