National Street Drag Championship kicks off this evening

Qatar Motor Racing Club’s Drag Race racetrack is preparing for the first round of the Qatar National Street Drag Championship in its new season 2021/2022, which will be held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Thani, president of the club, where the day is devoted to qualifying to record the best times, with these trials to resume tomorrow ahead of the start of the competitions.
In the new season, contestants will compete in 14 classes, 11 of which are dedicated to cars and three are dedicated to motorcycles and with prizes of more than QR quarter million per round.
The tournament consists of five rounds starting today, with the second to be held in the last third of next month, while the remaining three rounds will be held in February and March next year.
According to the schedule of the first round, registration and technical examination of participating cars and motorcycles will begin at 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, with an enlightenment meeting for the contestants before the start of the first qualifying period, which begins at 5:00 p.m., followed by the second qualifying period at 7:30 p.m.
The technical examination will open on Friday for those who were unable to attend today from 4:00 pm, where the examination will continue until 5 p.m. the start of the third and final qualifying round, and according to the results of the qualifying trials contestants will be distributed to the schedule of elimination competitions, which will start at 6:30 p.m. to conclude the round with the final races and crown the top three winners in each category.

يتأهب مضمار الدراج ريس الخاص بنادي قطر لسباق السيارات والدراجات النارية لانطلاق منافسات الجولة الأولى من بطولة قطر الوطنية للستريت دراج بموسمها الجديد 2021 / 2022 والتي تقام تحت رعاية سعادة الشيخ خالد بن حمد آل ثاني رئيس النادي، حيث يخصص اليوم للتجارب التأهيلية لتسجيل أفضل الأزمنة، على أن تستأنف هذه التجارب يوم الغد قبيل انطلاق المنافسات.
سيتنافس المتسابقون في الموسم الجديد ضمن 14فئة، 11 منها مخصصة للسيارات وثلاثة مخصصة للدراجات النارية وبجوائز تصل إلى أكثر من ربع مليون ريال قطري للجولة الواحدة.
تتألف البطولة من خمس جولات تنطلق الأولى اليوم على أن تقام الثانية في الثلث الأخير من الشهر القادم بينما تقام الجولات الثلاث المتبقية في شهري فبراير ومارس من العام القادم.
ووفق الجدول الزمني للجولة الأولى ستنطلق عمليات التسجيل والفحص الفني للسيارات والدراجات المشاركة بتمام الساعة الثالثة ظهر اليوم على أن يكون هناك اجتماع تنويري للمتسابقين قبل انطلاق الفترة التأهيلية الأولى والتي تبدأ بتمام الخامسة عصراً تعقبها في السابعة والنصف الفترة التأهيلية الثانية.
سيتم افتتاح الفحص الفني يوم غدٍ الجمعة لأولئك الذين لم يتمكنوا من الحضور اليوم وذلك ابتداءً من الرابعة عصراً حيث يستمر الفحص حتى الخامسة مساءً موعد انطلاق الجولة التأهيلية الثالثة والأخيرة، ووفق نتائج التجارب التأهيلية سيتم توزيع المتسابقين على جدول المنافسات الإقصائية والتي ستنطلق في السادسة والنصف مساءً لتختتم الجولة بالسباقات النهائية وتتويج الفائزين الثلاثة الأوائل في كل فئة.
