Citizen leaves Hamad Hospital to private hospital to avoid neglect

A citizen was forced to leave Hamad General Hospital for another private hospital to avoid what he described as the “negligence” he has suffered since calling an ambulance.
Abu Hind told Qatar Radio’s “Watani Al Habib Good Morning” program that he is currently in a private hospital because of his illness and negligence from Hamad General Hospital, explaining that he called an ambulance at 4:00 a.m. because of high temperature as he was suffering from vomiting and half an hour later the ambulance did not arrive.
He added: I live in Al-Hilal area and when I asked them about the reason for the delay they answered that the responsible unit requested an ambulance from the Al-Messila area, explaining that this is not the only problem as “as soon as the ambulance arrived at Hamad Hospital they put me in an ill-equipped room and did not do anything, no one measured my temperature and no one helped me stop vomiting and no doctor was called to see me.”
“How long will the services stay this way at Hamad Hospital?” he asked.

اضطر مواطن إلى مغادرة مستشفى حمد العام إلى مستشفى آخر خاص لتجنب ما وصفه بـ “الإهمال” الذي تعرض له منذ استدعائه سيارة الإسعاف .
قال المواطن “أبو هند” – لبرنامج “وطني الحبيب صباح الخير” على إذاعة قطر – إنه حالياً في مستشفى خاص بسبب مرضه وإهمال مستشفى حمد العام، موضحاً أنه طلب الإسعاف فجراً في الساعة 4 لأن حرارته ارتفعت كما كان يعاني القيء وبعد نصف ساعة لم تصل سيارة الإسعاف.
وأضاف: أنا أسكن في منطقة الهلال وعندما سألتهم عن سبب التأخير اجابوا بإن الوحدة المسؤولة طلبت الإسعاف من منطقة المسيلة، موضحاً أنه ليست هذه هي المشكلة الوحيدة حيث إنه “بمجرد وصول الإسعاف إلى مستشفى حمد وضعوني في غرفة غير مهيئة ولم يقوموا بفعل أي شيء، لم يقم أحد بقياس حراراتي ولا حد ساعدني على إيقاف القيء ولا تم استدعاء طبيب لمعاينتي.”
وتساءل المواطن : إلى متى ستظل الخدمات بهذه الصورة في مستشفى حمد؟
