AZF organises ‘Pink Walk’ in collaboration with QCS
“أسباير زون” تنظم “المسار الوردي” بالتعاون مع الجمعية القطرية للسرطان
Doha: Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF), in collaboration with Qatar Cancer Society (QCS), successfully organised the ‘Pink Walk’ on Saturday at Aspire Park.
The event, which involved a 1km walk around Aspire Park, was held from 3.30pm to 5.30pm with 300 participants.
During the walk, participants were accompanied by a number of organisers and coaches from Aspire to ensure that precautionary measures were followed and that social distancing between individuals was adhered to.
Qatar Cancer Society distributed awareness booklets and gifts among all the participants, and also set up a small booth to spread awareness on the issue and answer visitors’ questions.
“As a sports organisation, AZF focuses on promoting an active and healthy lifestyle among all community members, in line with the Human Development pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030, which aims to create a physically and psychologically healthy population for a well-rounded society,” AZF said in a statement.
This year’s edition was sponsored by the official partners, Vodafone, Suhail Group Holding, LuLu Hypermarket; the event sponsors, McDonalds, Regency Group Holding’ and held in co-operation with QCS and the permanent partner, Sports Corner.
الدوحة: نظمت مؤسسة أسباير زون بالتعاون مع الجمعية القطرية للسرطان، “المسار الوردي”، في حديقة أسباير بمشاركة ما يقارب من 300 شخص.
وتضمنت الجولة مسافة كيلو متر واحد على امتداد بحيرة أسباير، ورافق المشاركين عدد من المنظمين والمدربين من مؤسسة أسباير لضمان اتباع الاجراءات الاحترازية والالتزام بمسافة التباعد الاجتماعي بين الافراد.
كما تم توزيع هدايا وكتيبات توعوية لجميع المشاركين من الجمعية القطرية للسرطان وتوفير مكان خاص للتوعية والإجابة عن استفسارات الزوار في الحديقة طوال فترة الفعالية.
وتأتي هذه الفعالية في إطار حرص مؤسسة أسباير زون على دورها الاجتماعي وإسهامها في تحقيق رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030 ممثلة في ركيزتها الأساسية للتنمية البشرية، وتتزامن مع الشهر العالمي للتوعية بسرطان الثدي والذي تقوم فيه منظمات المجتمع المعنية بالتوعية بمخاطر مرض السرطان حول العالم بتسليط الضوء على سبل الوقاية منه وجمع التبرعات لصالح الأبحاث.
