A Gulf country ranked first regionally in the ranking of the world’s most famous travel guide, “Lonely Planet”, among the top 10 recommended destinations for travel in 2022.
The report, published on Thursday, indicated that the country that topped the region is the Sultanate of Oman, which is famous for its natural beauty, authentic values, and rich heritage.
The list of Arab countries also included Egypt, which came in the tenth place in the guide, with its ancient monuments, historical sites and the wonderful marine life in the Red Sea.
The list globally included the Cook Islands in the South Pacific, Norway, Mauritius, Belize, Slovenia, Angela, Nepal and Malawi.

تصدرت دولة خليجية المرتبة الأولى إقليمياً في تصنيف دليل السفر الأشهر عالمياً، “لونلي بلانت”، ضمن أفضل 10 وجهات موصى بالسفر إليها عام 2022.
وأوضح التقرير، المنشور يوم الخميس، أن الدولة التي تصدّرت إقليميا هي سلطنة عمان، حيث تشتهر بجمالها الطبيعي وقيمها الأصيلة، وتراثها الغني.
وتضمنت القائمة من الدول العربية كذلك مصر، التي جاءت في المركز العاشر بالدليل، حيث آثارها القديمة ومواقعها التاريخية والحياة البحرية الرائعة في البحر الأحمر.
وشملت القائمة عالمياً جزر كوك في جنوب المحيط الهادئ، والنرويج وموريشيوس، وبليز، وسلوفينيا، وانجيلا، ونيبال، ومالاوي.
