QNB Stars League Week 8 Kicks Off Today

Doha: The Week 8 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League will start on Saturday with four matches as Al Arabi face Al Rayyan, Al Sadd meet Al Ahli, Al Shamal play with Al Khor, and Al Duhail take on Qatar SC.

Al Arabi kept the third place in the standings despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Al Ahli in the last round.

The Dream Team now have 13 points (four wins, one draw and two defeats) and have a goal difference of +1 (nine goals for and eight against).

Meanwhile, Al Rayyan will be looking to sustain the momentum after beating Al Sailiya 4-2 in the last round for their second victory. That also helped them overcome the loss to Al Sadd in tie-breaker in the Amir Cup final recently.

Laurent Blanc-coached Al Rayyan have also registered three draws and two defeats, and have a goal difference of -2 (12 goals for and 14 against). They are placed sixth with nine points.

The match assumes greater significance, given the huge fan-following both teams enjoy.

Meanwhile, Al Sadd face Al Ahli in Week 8 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League at the Al Gharafa Stadium.

Reigning champions Al Sadd, who beat Umm Salal 3-1 in the last round, are topping the table with 21 points and an all-win record, the only team to do so thus far. The Wolves have a goal difference of +19 (29 goals for and 10 against).

Xavi Hernandez-coached Al Sadd, who recently won the 49th edition of Amir Cup by beating Al Rayyan on penalties, will target nothing less than a victory, especially since they are up against strong title contenders Al Duhail in Week 9.

Al Ahli are eighth in the league standings with five points (five draws and two defeats).

The Brigadiers, coached by Montenegrin Nebojsa Jovovic, have a goal difference of -2 (four goals for and six against).

Al Ahli, Umm Salal and Al Khor are the only teams yet to register a victory in this season’s league.

Al Ahli had come close to achieving a win in the last round, but for the late equalizer by Al Arabi.

Al Sadd have a star-studded line-up even though they may miss the services of the injured duo of Boualem Khoukhi and Akram Afif.

Moreover, Al Shamal face Al Khor in Week 8 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League at the Al Arabi Stadium.

Promoted side Al Shamal improved their position in the standings by one place (last to 11th) despite losing 0-1 to Al Duhail in the last round.

Al Shamal and Al Sailiya have the same number of points (four) and goal difference (-10), but the former were placed above in the standings by virtue of having scored more number of goals (eight goals for and 18 against compared to Al Sailiya’s five goals for and 15 against).

Hicham Jadrane-coached Al Shamal have one victory, one draw and five defeats against their name.

Al Khor are also on four points (four draws and three defeats), but they have a goal difference of -9 (seven goals for and 16 against).

The Knights, under German Winfried Schafer, had lost to Al Gharafa by a 0-5 margin in the last round. They will be looking for a turnaround in their fortunes.

Al Khor, Umm Salal and Al Ahli are the only teams yet to register a victory in this season’s league competition.

Furthermore, Al Duhail face Qatar SC in Week 8 of the 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League at the Al Gharafa Stadium.

Al Duhail, coached by Portuguese Luis Castro, got back to the winning path by defeating Al Shamal 1-0 in the last round, with their spearhead and Kenyan striker Michael Olunga scoring the only goal of the match through a penalty kick.

The Red Knights had lost 1-4 to Al Wakrah in the postponed match from Week 5, for their only defeat this season.

Al Duhail are placed second with 18 points, three behind champions Al Sadd. They have a have a goal difference of +12 (19 goals for and seven against).

Qatar SC had improved their position in the table by one place following their goalless draw with Al Wakrah in the last round and are placed seventh now with six points.

Moroccan Youssef Safri-coached Qatar SC have recorded (one victory, three draws and as many defeats). The Kings have a goal difference of -3 (six goals for and nine against).

Al Duhail will not want any let-up in their bid to regain the league shield, whereas Qatar SC would be concerned with their inability to win matches.

الدوحة: تنطلق اليوم /السبت/ منافسات الأسبوع الثامن من الدوري القطري لكرة القدم /دوري نجوم QNB / للموسم 2021- 2022 ، بأربع مباريات تجمع السد مع الاهلي ، والشمال مع الخور ، والعربي مع الريان، والدحيل مع قطر .

وتعد مواجهة العربي والريان قمة مباريات هذه الجولة فهي مواجهة قوية وكبيرة ستلعب على استاد حمد الكبير بالنادي العربي، حيث يدخل العربي المباراة وهو في المركز الثالث برصيد 13 نقطة، من الفوز في 4 مباريات، والخسارة في مباراتين، والتعادل مرة واحدة، كما سيدخل الريان هذه المباراة وهو في المركز السادس برصيد 9 نقاط، من الفوز في مباراتين، والخسارة في مباراتين أيضاً، والتعادل في 3 لقاءات .

وكان العربي قد تعادل في الجولة الأخيرة أمام الأهلي، وفي المقابل حقق الريان فوزاً كبيراً على حساب السيلية بأربعة أهداف مقابل هدفين.

وفي مباراة اخرى يخوض فريقا الدحيل وقطر مواجهة قوية في افتتاح مباريات الأسبوع الثامن، والتي ستقام على استاد ثاني بن جاسم بنادي الغرافة في الخامسة والربع مساء، ويدخل الفريقان الى المباراة برغبة كبيرة في تحقيق الفوز، بعد أن استعاد الدحيل الانتصارات في الجولة الماضية ورفع رصيده إلى 18 نقطة في المركز الثاني، ونادي قطر حصل على النقطة السادسة يحتل بها المركز السابع.

وكان الدحيل قد فاز على الشمال بهدف دون رد، في المقابل تعادل نادي قطر والوكرة بدون أهداف في الجولة السابعة.

ومن جهة اخرى يلتقي الشمال والخور في الساعة الخامسة والربع على استاد حمد الكبير بالنادي العربي، وتحمل المواجهة كل معاني الإثارة والندية بين الفريقين، خاصة أن كليهما يرفع شعار الفوز وحصد النقاط الثلاث، وستكون المباراة في غاية القوة لتقارب مستوى الفريقين وقدرتهما على تقديم الأفضل لتحقيق الانتصار.

الشمال يأتي في المركز الحادي عشر وقبل الأخير بجدول الترتيب برصيد 4 نقاط، من انتصار وحيد كان على حساب نادي قطر، والتعادل في مباراة، والخسارة في خمس مواجهات وكان أخرها أمام فريق الدحيل بهدف دون رد.

أما مباراة السد والأهلي التي ستقام في السابعة والنصف مساء على استاد ثاني بن جاسم بنادي الغرافة. فتعد خارج التوقعات بالرغم من فارق النقاط والترتيب بين الفريقين، حيث إن السد في الصدارة بالعلامة الكاملة برصيد 21 نقطة من الفوز في مبارياته السبع بالبطولة حتى الآن، والأهلي في المركز الثامن برصيد 5 نقاط من التعادل في خمس مباريات وخسارة مباراتين.

ويسعى كل فريق لتحقيق الانتصار في هذه المباراة، حيث سيكون هدف السد مواصلة المشوار في البطولة من حيث استمرار الانتصارات والفوز على الأهلي قبل مواجهة القمة أمام الدحيل في الأسبوع التاسع.
