Ministry Resumes Return of Students to 61 Holy Quran Teaching Centers

Doha: The Ministry of Endowment and Islamic Affairs announced the resumption of the return of male students to Holy Quran teaching centers in mosques around the country, starting from Nov. 1.

This announcement comes in line with the state’s plan for the gradual lifting of precautionary measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Department of Advocacy and Religious Guidance prepared an executive plan to facilitate the resumption of the work of the Holy Quran education centers and the gradual return to what it was like before the COVID-19 pandemic, by adhering to the application and taking into account the precautionary measures currently in place such as social distancing between students and the educational staff, wearing a mask, requiring the completion of vaccination doses for the educational staff, checking the temperature daily, and ensuring the health status before allowing workers to enter the centers.

The Department of Advocacy and Religious Guidance Director Mal-Allah Al Jaber said in a statement Wednesday, that in the first phase, nearly two months ago, all the endowment buildings, six of them, were opened, whose headquarters are separate from the mosques, which is the Jassim bin Ahmed Center in the Umm Salal Ali area, the Imam Shatibi Center in the Al-Khraitiyat area, the Al-Noor center in the Izghawa area, the Al Emadi Center in the Al-Thumama area, the Imam Al-Shafi’i Center in the Al-Saad area, and the Abu Al-Harith Al-Baghdadi Center in the Dukhan area.

Al Jaber stressed the continuation of distance education in the Quranic program “Tahed” for boys and girls, which is held through the platform of the Ministry of Education, where the number of episodes is 406 for boys attended by 3,000 students and 381 episodes for girls attended by 4,800 students of different ages and levels and is supervised by an administrative, technical and technical staff.

He explained that the plan to resume the return of students will be limited to 61 centers in mosques to teach the Holy Quran for boys only, covering the majority of the country’s regions, and the data and addresses of these mosques will be announced later, through the ministry’s social media accounts.

Al Jaber noted that the registration process will take place by attending the headquarters of these centers in the selected mosques, as of Nov.1.

The Department of Advocacy and Religious Guidance called on the public to abide by the conditions and rules set by the Department to accept the student, which is that the student should be ten years old or above and that he is within the geographical scope of the center, and priority is given to students of the center previously registered before the pandemic at the beginning of 2020. The applicant shall bring a recent personal photo and a copy of the Qatari ID or passport. The enrollment form in the Holy Qur’an learning centers should be filled and signed by the guardian, and a pledge to abide by the official working hours and the rules and regulations in force, including the precautionary measures.

In this regard, the Department of Advocacy and Religious Guidance issued a notice to all civil centers licensed by the ministry in accordance with Law No. 12 of 2011 regarding the establishment and organization of religious centers, allowing the return to the practice of the educational process for male and female students at the headquarters of these 25 community centers.

الدوحة: أعلنت وزارة الأوقاف والشؤون الإسلامية عن استئناف عودة الطلاب إلى مقرات مراكز تعليم القرآن الكريم للبنين في المساجد بالدولة بدءا من الأول من نوفمبر المقبل، وذلك تماشيا مع خطة الدولة الخاصة بالرفع التدريجي للإجراءات الاحترازية للحد من انتشار فيروس كورونا /كوفيد-19/.

وأعدت إدارة الدعوة والإرشاد الديني خطة تنفيذية لتسهيل استئناف عمل مراكز تعليم القرآن الكريم والعودة التدريجية إلى ما كانت عليه قبل بدء جائحة كورونا مع مطلع عام 2020، وذلك من خلال التقيد بتطبيق ومراعاة الإجراءات الاحترازية المعمول بها حاليا من حيث التباعد الاجتماعي بين الطلاب وبين الكادر التعليمي، وارتداء الكمامة، واشتراط استكمال جرعات التطعيم للكادر التعليمي، وفحص الحرارة بصورة يومية، والتأكد من الحالة الصحية قبل السماح بدخول العاملين إلى المراكز.

وقال السيد مال الله الجابر مدير إدارة الدعوة والإرشاد الديني بوزارة الأوقاف والشؤون الإسلامية في تصريح، اليوم، إنه تم سابقا في المرحلة الأولى منذ ما يقارب الشهرين افتتاح جميع المباني الوقفية وعددها 6 مراكز والتي تكون مقراتها منفصلة بذاتها بعيدا عن المساجد، وهي مركز جاسم بن أحمد في منطقة أم صلال علي، ومركز الإمام الشاطبي في منطقة الخريطيات، ومركز النور في منطقة ازغوى، ومركز العمادي في منطقة الثمامة، ومركز الإمام الشافعي في منطقة السد، ومركز أبو الحارث البغدادي في منطقة دخان.

وأكد الجابر على استمرار العمل في التعليم عن بعد في البرنامج القرآني /تعاهد/ للبنين والبنات والذي يقام عبر منصة الوزارة التعليمية، حيث تبلغ عدد الحلقات 406 حلقات للبنين ينتظم فيها ما يزيد على ثلاثة آلاف طالب، و381 حلقة للبنات ينتظم فيها ما يزيد على 4800 طالبة، من مختلف الأعمار والمستويات ويشرف عليها طاقم إداري وفني وتقني.

وأوضح أن خطة استئناف عودة الطلاب إلى مقرات المراكز الحالية ستكون محصورة في 61 مركزا في المساجد لتعليم القرآن الكريم للبنين فقط، تغطي غالبية مناطق الدولة، وسيتم الإعلان لاحقا عن بيانات وعناوين هذه المساجد، وذلك عبر حسابات الوزارة على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي.

ونوه مدير إدارة الدعوة والإرشاد الديني، بأن عملية التسجيل ستتم بالحضور إلى مقرات هذه المراكز في المساجد المختارة، وذلك اعتبارا من الأول من نوفمبر المقبل.

وأهابت إدارة الدعوة والإرشاد الديني بالجمهور، التقيد والالتزام بالشروط والضوابط التي وضعتها الإدارة لقبول الطالب وهي أن يكون عمره عشر سنوات فما فوق، وأن يكون ضمن النطاق الجغرافي للمركز، كما أن الأولوية لطلاب المركز المسجلين سابقا قبل الجائحة في بداية عام 2020، وإحضار صورة شخصية حديثة، وصورة من البطاقة الشخصية القطرية أو جواز السفر، وتعبئة استمارة الالتحاق بمراكز تعليم القرآن الكريم، موقعة من قبل ولي الأمر، والتعهد بالالتزام بالدوام الرسمي واللوائح والأنظمة المعمول بها بما فيها الإجراءات الاحترازية.

وفي هذا الصدد أصدرت إدارة الدعوة والإرشاد الديني، تعميما على جميع المراكز الأهلية المرخصة من الوزارة وفقا للقانون رقم 12 لسنة 2011 بشأن إنشاء وتنظيم المراكز الدينية، بالسماح للعودة إلى ممارسة العملية التعليمية للطلاب والطالبات في مقرات هذه المراكز والبالغ عددها 25 مركزا أهليا.
