Katara Opera House Organizes Dazzling Korean Art Show

Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) organized, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the country, an artistic show entitled “The Rhythm of Korea.”
At the Katara Opera House, an audience of different nationalities attended the show amid full commitment to the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
On this occasion, HE Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Qatar Joon Ho Lee delivered a speech at the opening of the ceremony, praising the strong relations between Qatar and Korea. He hailed the cooperation with Katara to inform the diverse audience of the rich and diverse Korean culture through a number of various artistic and cultural activities and events that would enhance the rapprochement between cultures and peoples.
The show featured a number of amazing exhibition paintings that combined music with performances, as well as taekwondo show, which are part of Korea’s cultural and folklore heritage, and are considered one of Korea’s national sports.
Katara has organized a number of cultural and artistic events in cooperation with the Korean Embassy on a number of occasions, including artistic performances and concerts, including the “Korean Cultural Week” which is an evening for Korean street music, and an evening of the wonderful voices of Korea presented by the famous Korean fusion Band Queen and others.

الدوحة: نظمت المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي ” كتارا ” بالتعاون مع سفارة جمهورية كوريا لدى الدولة، حفلا فنيًّا بعنوان “حيوية كوريا”، احتضنته دار الأوبرا في كتارا ، وقد حضره جمهور من مختلف الجنسيات وسط التزام كامل بالإجراءات الاحترازية للوقاية من انتشار فيروس كورونا /كوفيد- 19/.
وبهذه المناسبة، ألقى سعادة السيد جون هو لي سفير جمهورية كوريا لدى الدولة في افتتاح الحفل، كلمة أثنى فيها على العلاقات الوطيدة بين قطر وكوريا، مشيدا بالتعاون مع المؤسسة من أجل إطلاع الجمهور المتنوع على الثقافة الكورية الثرية والمتنوعة من خلال عدد من الفعاليات والمناسبات الفنية والثقافية المختلفة والتي من شأنها أن تعزز التقارب بين الثقافات والشعوب.
وشهدت فقرات الحفل عددا من اللوحات الفنية الاستعراضية المدهشة التي جمعت بين الموسيقى والاستعراض، بالإضافة إلى لوحات استعراضية لفنون التايكوندو والتي تعتبر جزءا من الموروث الثقافي والفلكلوري الكوري، كما تعتبر إحدى الرياضات الوطنية الكورية.
تجدر الإشارة إلى أنّ المؤسسة العامة للحي الثقافي كتارا كانت قد نظمت عددا من الفعاليات الثقافية والفنية بالتعاون مع السفارة الكورية في عدد من المناسبات شملت العروض الفنية والحفلات الموسيقية ومنها ” الأسبوع الثقافي الكوري، وسهرة لموسيقى الشوارع الكورية، وأمسية أصوات كوريا الرائعة التي قدمتها الفرقة الكورية الشهيرة فيوجن باند وغيرها “.
