Doha: Qatari newspapers highlighted the panel discussion in which HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), took part with the participation of some of Their Excellencies the most instrumental people who played a pivotal role in turning QF’s vision into reality, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Qatar Foundation.
In their editorials on Monday, the newspapers said that Qatar Foundation made a qualitative leap in the concept of quality learning, and succeeded in instilling a culture of scientific research and setting up research infrastructure to meet national needs out of its belief in its importance in building a sustainable knowledge-based economy.
The newspapers hailed QF’s success in achieving balance between authenticity and modernity by providing modern and advanced education while preserving the identity and privacy of the community and consolidating its roots.
Al-Arab daily stressed that over the past 25 years, QF has made a revolution in the country’s education, and that over the years the idea has been developed into a unique system of learning and knowledge.
The paper noted HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser’s attendance yesterday of a series of sessions on QF’s contributions in spreading science and knowledge to the people of the country, as well as the attendance of students in all QF’s educational institutions from various countries.
The paper underlined that what Qatar Foundation offers in the world of human building and the development of their capabilities reflects the personality of HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, who was known for her passion for education and her belief in its ability to enhance opportunities and transform societies, noting that Her Highness is committed to ensuring that every child has access to quality education and the ability to go to the school in a safe environment.
Her Highness, the paper said, played a prominent role in improving education at the local and global levels, and dedicated her efforts and interests in the fields of education and human development as will as family issues and rapprochement between peoples.
Al-Arab concluded its editorial by saying that the sincere efforts of Qatar Foundation’s cadres made the State of Qatar a beacon for education and knowledge in the Middle East.
In its editorial Monday, Al-Sharq newspaper underlined the special panel discussion in which HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) took part in with a number of those who participated in achieving QF’s lofty vision on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the foundation’s establishment.
The paper said that this constitutes an important incentive for the students, researchers and scholars of Qatar to realize the extent of the effort that has been exerted for the establishment of this institution, noting how the idea turned into reality despite the challenges facing the State of Qatar in that period.
The panel discussion, the paper said, stressed that investing in education was the right decision that the wise leadership aligned with in order to bring about a fundamental change in the educational system, and provide high-quality and advanced education based on logical analysis and rational deduction that were known by previous Arab civilizations and applied by Western civilizations, while at the same time preserving our heritage, language and national identity.
Al-Sharq commended Qatar Foundation’s success over 25 years in instilling a culture of scientific research, setting up research infrastructure to meet national needs and instilling a culture of scientific research, believing in its importance in building a sustainable knowledge-based economy.
The other message that is evoked from the panel discussion on Qatar Foundation is that the wise leadership has never looked at Qatar Foundations projects, centers, and initiatives as being there to serve a specific geographical area, but thought of them as Arab-Islamic renaissance project, based in Qatar, to promote sustainable development in the Arab world, the newspaper added.
Al-Sharq concluded its editorial by saying that if every nation cares about its products, then the State of Qatar is proud of the future it made, and if nations established factories for production, then Qatar has invested in people.
In turn, Al-Raya newspaper affirmed in its editorial that Qatar Foundation (QF) has proven continuously that it is a platform for human building and the pride of the nation.
With the high directives of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, the priority to care for human beings and enhancing their capabilities, QF continues its leadership in vital sectors for human development in education, health, and scientific research, the paper said.
The newspaper said that our country’s vision proved to be correct when HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani took the lead in establishing Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development in August 1995, which later became a global beacon in education, science, and research.
The newspaper highlighted the role of HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, and the tangible changes that she has brought about, not only in our society, but also in separate regions of the world, and in sectors vital to building human mind and thought.
Al-Raya explained that over the years, QF has become a huge edifice that embodies our country’s vision and ambition to transform from an oil-based economy to a knowledge-based economy focused on unleashing human power. The Foundation has embraced prestigious national and international universities while providing an academic and research environment based on creativity and innovation, and focused on the study requirements of the local and regional market, as well as enhancing the opportunities for students to express themselves and convey their voice to the world to face contemporary global challenges, the paper added.
The newspaper noted the qualitative leap made by QF in the concept of good learning, as it produced generations of learners in a short time, and was able to supply the labor market with an elite group of students in multiple disciplines.
QF also succeeded in localizing knowledge as one of its most important goals since its establishment, and in making positive changes in our society with the development of world-class academic programs in addition to cooperation and partnership with international research institutions, and finding innovative solutions with a global impact, the paper said, pointing out that the most important thing is the contribution of QF in achieving the Qatar National Vision and supporting development in multiple sectors.
Al-Raya concluded its editorial by saying that Qatar Foundation’s success in achieving a balance between authenticity and modernity by providing modern and advanced education while preserving the identity and privacy of the community and consolidating its roots, such as launching programs and initiatives that promote the spread of the Arabic language and the Akhlaquna Award, reflects the efforts of Qatar Foundation and highlights Arab values and good morals, and other initiatives that are difficult to enumerate in vital sectors of education, science, and community development so that QF remains an indispensable beacon for the present and future of Qatar.
For its part, Qatari English-language The Peninsula newspaper underlined in its editorial Monday that Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) is an extraordinary organization that invests in human capital offering world-class education system and providing lifelong learning opportunities to society, thus continuously contributing to the nation’s development.
The Qatari daily said that QF strives to serve the people of Qatar and beyond by providing specialized programs across its innovation focused on ecosystem of education, research and development, and community development.
Looking back today after around 25 years since the ambitious project was founded by its founders HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani and HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, one can only express admiration and appreciation to them for the insightful vision and great contributions to the development and advancement of the country they have made, the newspaper added.
The paper said that one realizes the greatness of the leadership in planning and implementing with determination and their ability to face challenges in order to achieve the far-sighted national and strategic targets, pointing out that the determination of the leadership to achieve the vision for QF, no doubt, has created a national motivation and the idea became an integral part of the national vision for renaissance of Qatar.
The Peninsula highlighted the statements of HH the Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development Sheikha Moza bint Nasser during a special panel discussion entitled “The Untold Stories of Qatar Foundation” on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of QF in which Her Highness said “We never looked at Qatar Foundation’s projects, centers, and initiatives as being there to serve a specific geographical area. We thought of it as Arab-Islamic renaissance project, based in Qatar, to promote sustainable development in the Arab world, by creating positive change from an academic, research, and societal perspective”.
The newspaper stressed that QF has been built on solid pillars of national identity, supporting the ambitions of the entire society, and achieving a balance between openness based on global experiences, and preserving heritage and values of the Qatari society.
In conclusion, The Peninsula affirmed that QF will remain a beacon for spreading knowledge and a place for creativity and innovation and as an instrumental organization dedicated to empowering the local community and contributing to a better world for all.

وأبرزت الصحيفة تصريحات صاحبة السمو الشيخة موزا بنت ناصر رئيس مجلس إدارة مؤسسة قطر للتربية والعلوم وتنمية المجتمع، في جلسة نقاشية خاصة بعنوان /قصص من مؤسسة قطر لم تُحك بعد/، بمناسبة مرور 25 عاما على تأسيس مؤسسة قطر، حيث قالت ” “لم ننظر يوما إلى مشاريع المؤسسة ومراكزها ومبادراتها على أنها ستخدم نطاقا جغرافيا محددا. لقد فكرنا في مؤسسة قطر على أنها مشروع نهضوي تنموي عربي إسلامي على أرض قطر لتعزيز التنمية المستدامة في العالم العربي، من خلال إحداثنا التغيير الإيجابي المنشود في الجوانب الأكاديمية والبحثية والمجتمعية”.
وشددت على أنه تم بناء مؤسسة قطر على ركائز صلبة للهوية الوطنية لدعم طموحات المجتمع بأسره وتحقيق التوازن بين الانفتاح على أساس التجارب العالمية والحفاظ على تراث وقيم المجتمع القطري.
