Industrial bus station to be delivered next month

An informed source revealed to Al-Sharq that the new bus station in the industrial zone will enter the phase of use at the end of this year in parallel with the Sudan station and each station’s capacity average is expected to be about 25 buses, and is expected to be delivered during the month of November.
The same source said that the executive work of the industrial zone station reached advanced proportions, and is nearing the end and the concerned authorities are working on the completion of 8 new stations with high specifications in the areas of Sudan, Lusail, Al Wakra, Education and Industrial City, Msheireb, Al Gharafa, and West Bay, and the rest of the stations are expected to open next year 2022.
In addition, advanced stages have also been implemented to establish four bus depots in (Al Wakra, New Industrial Area, Al Rayyan, and Lusail) to be opened during the next year 2022, each with an area of between 129,000 square meters and 190,000 square meters.
A further 2,700 bus stops will be completed on all major roads, allowing thousands of passengers in many areas to use buses while providing air-conditioned cabins to wait inside to prevent sunlight and humidity.
Earlier last year, the concerned authorities signed 11 contracts with the aim of establishing bus stops and depots, at a value of 2 Billion Qatari Riyals, as part of the public bus infrastructure program.

كشف مصدر مطلع لـ الشرق عن أن محطة الحافلات الجديدة في المنطقة الصناعية ستدخل طور الاستغلال نهاية العام الحالي بصفة متوازية مع محطة السودان ومن المنتظر أن يبلغ متوسط الطاقة الاستيعابية لكل منهما نحو 25 حافلة، متوقعا أن يكون التسليم خلال شهر نوفمبر القادم.
وقال ذات المصدر إن الأعمال التنفيذية لمحطة المنطقة الصناعية بلغت نسبا متقدمة، وشارفت على النهاية وتعمل الجهات المعنية على إنجاز 8 محطات جديدة بمواصفات عالية في مناطق السودان ولوسيل والوكرة والمدينة التعليمية والصناعية، ومشيرب، والغرافة، والخليج الغربي، ومن المنتظر أن يتم افتتاح باقي المحطات خلال العام المقبل 2022.
وإلى جانب ذلك تمّ أيضا تنفيذ مراحل متقدمة لإنشاء أربعة مستودعات للحافلات في (الوكرة، المنطقة الصناعية الجديدة، الريان، ولوسيل) على أن يتم افتتاحها خلال العام المقبل 2022، وتتراوح مساحة كل منها ما بين 129,000 متر مربع و190,000 متر مربع.
كما سيتم انجاز 2700 موقف للحافلات على كافة الطرق الرئيسية والتي تسمح لآلاف الركاب في العديد من المناطق باستخدام الحافلات مع توفير كبائن مُكيفة للانتظار بداخلها للوقاية من أشعة الشمس والرطوبة.
وكانت الجهات المعنية وقعت في وقت سابق من العام الماضي 11 عقدا بهدف إنشاء مواقف ومستودعات للحافلات بقيمة 2 مليار ريال ضمن برنامج البنية التحتية للحافلات العامة.
