Demands for abolishing non-refundable camping fees

Doha: A number of citizens demanded the Ministry of Municipality and Environment to exempt them from non-refundable fees for land and sea camping because the amounts of fees are large and paid without the ministry providing services to the campers, pointing out that the non-refundable fees have made many tend to cancel camping since last year, because these fees have become a burden on them.

They stressed that the municipality’s decision to move forward this year’s camping season was right, as they will be able to enjoy the camping season for a longer period, which citizens expect each year to get out of the daily routine and go to the wild and beach camps to spend their free time, weekends and sleep in camps with the beginning of mild weather and winter.

This year, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment also continues to classify the camps between the land and the sea, as people camping in wild camp are obliged to pay the value of 3,000 riyals as non-refundable fees, 10,000 riyals insurance fees recovered after the end of the camping period, and people camping in marine camps are obliged to pay 10,000 riyals in non-refundable fees, in addition to 10,000 riyals insurance fees to be refunded at the end of the camping period.

On Sunday, October 3rd, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment began receiving registration applications for the 2021 camping season through the ministry’s website and the ministry’s phone application “Aoun”, or through government service centers distributed in various regions of the country, in three stages.

الدوحة: طالب عدد من الموطنين وزارة البلدية والبيئة بإعفائهم من الرسوم غير المسترجعة للتخييم البري والبحري وذلك لأن مبالغ الرسوم كبيرة وتدفع بدون أن تقدم الوزارة مقابلها خدمات للمخيمين، لافتين إلى ان الرسوم غير المسترجعة جعلت الكثيرين يتجهون إلى إلغاء التخييم منذ العام الماضي، نسبة لأن هذه الرسوم أصبحت عبئا عليهم.

واكدوا أن أن قرار البلدية بتقديم موسم التخييم هذا العام جاء صائبا، حيث إنهم سيتمكنون من الاستمتاع لفترة أطول بموسم التخييم، الذي يرتقبه المواطنون كل عام للخروج من الروتين اليومي والاتجاه إلى المخيمات البرية والشاطئية لقضاء أوقات فراغهم والإجازات الأسبوعية والمبيت بالمخيمات مع بداية اعتدال الأجواء ودخول فصل الشتاء.

وتستمر وزارة البلدية والبيئة هذا العام أيضا بتصنيف المخيمات بين البري والبحري، حيث إن أصحاب المخيمات البرية ملزمون بدفع قيمة 3 آلاف ريال غير مسترجعة كرسوم، و10 آلاف ريال رسوم تأمين تسترجع بعد انتهاء مدة التخييم، وأصحاب المخيمات البحرية ملزمون بدفع مبلغ 10 آلاف ريال كرسوم غير مسترجعة، بالإضافة إلى عشرة آلاف ريال رسوم تأمين يتم استردادها مع انتهاء مدة التخييم.

وكانت البلدية والبيئة قد بدأت يوم الأحد الماضي تاريخ 3 أكتوبر باستقبال طلبات التسجيل لموسم التخييم 2021، وذلك عبر الموقع الإلكتروني للوزارة وتطبيق الوزارة على الهواتف المحمولة “عون”، أو عن طريق مراكز الخدمات الحكومية الموزعة في مختلف مناطق الدولة، وعلى ثلاث مراحل.
