Dr. Al-Maslamani: Moving to the fourth phase within weeks

Doha: Dr. Yousef Al-Maslamani, medical director of Hamad General Hospital, expects to move to the fourth phase of the plan to gradually lift the restrictions imposed due to the Corona pandemic within weeks. He noted that during the three stages of the plan, there was a gradual easing based on the decline in the number of daily infections.

Dr. Al-Maslamani told Qatar TV’s “Our Lives” program yesterday: Each stage has a specific timing, and moving from one phase to another depends on the availability of several criteria, and we have now reached a stage where we can move to the fourth stage within weeks if the indicators during the study that last over the next two weeks are promising, in terms of infections, hospitalizations and the number of patients in intensive care.

“We will study the impact of this transition, and in the light of that study the next resolution will be adopted, and if the numbers continue to decline, we will move to better stages.” He noted that the wearing of masks in open spaces is no longer mandatory, while it will remain mandatory in indoor areas such as commercial complexes, workplaces and majalis, as well as in places of organization of activities, exhibitions, markets and on campuses of mosques, universities, schools and hospitals. He noted the high vaccination rates in the community, which exceeded 80% of the population, which is promising, as well as the commitment of citizens and residents to the procedures, which contributed to the decrease in cases, the decrease in the number of active cases and the high number of discharges from hospitals, and the number of hospitalizations as a result of the pandemic has become few.

He called for adherence to procedures, access to the vaccine and caution when contacting others and wearing masks, to help reduce infections. He noted that the virus still exists.

الدوحة: توقّع الدكتورُ يوسف المسلماني المدير الطبّي لمستشفى حمد العام الانتقال إلى المرحلة الرابعة من خُطة الرفع التدريجي للقيود المفروضة جراء جائحة كورونا خلال أسابيع.. مشيرًا إلى أنه خلال المراحل الثلاث من خطة الرفع التدريجي للقيود كان هناك تخفيف تدريجي بناءً على تراجع أعداد الإصابات اليومية.

وقال د. المسلماني، لبرنامج «حياتنا» على تلفزيون قطر أمس: كل مرحلة لها وقت محدد، والانتقال من مرحلة إلى أخرى يعتمد على توافر عدة معايير، ونحن الآن وصلنا إلى مرحلة نستطيع فيها الانتقال إلى المرحلة الرابعة خلال أسابيع إذا كانت المؤشّرات خلال الدراسة التي تستمر على مدار الأسبوعَين المقبلَين مبشرة، وذلك على مستوى الإصابات وحالات دخول المستشفى وأعداد المرضى في العناية المركّزة.

وأضاف: سندرس تأثير هذا الانتقال، وعلى ضوء تلك الدراسة سوف يتم اعتماد القرار المُقبل، وإذا استمرّت الأعداد في الانخفاض سوف ننتقل إلى مراحل أفضل.. مُشيرًا إلى أنّ ارتداء الكِمامات في الأماكن المفتوحة لم يعد إلزاميًا، بينما سيظلّ إلزاميًّا في الأماكن المغلقة كالمجمعات التجارية وأماكن العمل والمجالس، وكذلك في أماكن تنظيم الأنشطة والمعارض والأسواق وفي حرم المساجد والجامعات والمدارس والمُستشفيات. ونوّه بارتفاع نسب التطعيم في المجتمع والتي تجاوزت نسبة 80% من السكان، وهو أمر مبشّر، فضلًا عن التزام المواطنين والمقيمين بالإجراءات، ما ساهم في انخفاض الحالات وانخفاض عدد الحالات النشطة وارتفاع أعداد حالات الخروج من المُستشفيات، كما أن حالات الدخول للمستشفيات من جراء الجائحة باتت قليلة.

ودعا إلى الالتزام بالإجراءات والحصول على اللقاح والحذر عند مُخالطة الآخرين وارتداء الكِمامات، للمساعدة في تقليل الإصابات.. مُشيرًا إلى أنّ الفيروس ما زال موجودًا.
