Qatar ranks 4th most expensive country in apartment rentals

Doha: Qatar ranks fourth in the list of the most expensive countries in apartment rents among 109 countries around the world, Wall Street 24/7 revealed.
The average monthly rent for a “one-bedroom” apartment in central Doha is about $1,545, while the average monthly rent for a “one-bedroom” apartment outside the city centre is about $1,000, the website said.
Wall Street 24/7 explained that in determining the list of the most expensive countries in apartment rentals, it relied on Numbeo data, an online database contributed by users from all over the world. The data included 109 States.
In the Arab world, the UAE ranked 10th with an average monthly rent for an apartment in the city centre at $1,187 and 782 outside the city, while Kuwait ranked 18th with an average monthly rent of $909 and $730 for an apartment outside the city center.
Bahrain ranked 19th with an average monthly rent of $897 in the city centre and 632 outside, while Lebanon ranked 20th with an average monthly rent in the city centre of $895 and 443 outside the city centre.
The average monthly rent of a one-bedroom apartment in Qatar is more expensive than in countries such as Australia, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Canada, Norway and the United States, the website said.
According to the U.S. website, Hong Kong tops the list of the world’s most expensive with an average rent of $2,178, followed by Singapore in second place with a monthly average of $2,037, and Switzerland with an average monthly rent of about $1,625.

الدوحة: كشف موقع “وول ستريت 24/7” الأمريكي أن قطر تحتل المرتبة الرابعة بقائمة أغلى الدول في استئجار الشقق من بين 109 دول حول العالم.
وقال الموقع إن متوسط الإيجار الشهري لشقة “بغرفة نوم واحدة” في وسط الدوحة حوالي 1545 دولاراً، بينما يبلغ متوسط الإيجار الشهري لشقة “بغرفة نوم واحدة” خارج مركز المدينة حوالي 1000 دولار.
وأوضح موقع “وول ستريت 24/7” أنه اعتمد في تحديد قائمة أغلى البلدان في استئجار الشقق ، على بيانات موقع Numbeo ، وهي قاعدة بيانات عبر الإنترنت يساهم بها المستخدمون من جميع أنحاء العالم. وشملت البيانات 109 دول.
وعربياً، جاءت الإمارات في المركز الـ 10 بمتوسط إيجار شهري للشقة في وسط المدينة 1187 دولاراً، و 782 خارج المدينة، فيما حلت الكويت في المركز الـ 18 بمتوسط إيجار شهري 909 دولارات، و 730 دولاراً للشقة خارج مركز المدينة.
واحتلت البحرين المرتبة 19 بمتوسط إيجار شهري 897 في وسط المدينة، و 632 خارجه، بينما احتلت لبنان المرتبة الـ 20 بمتوسط إيجار شهري في مركز المدينة يبلغ 895 دولاراً، و 443 خارج مركز المدينة.
ويلاحظ من بينات الموقع أن متوسط الإيجار الشهري لشقة بغرفة نوم واحدة في قطر أغلى من مثيله في دول مثل أستراليا وبلجيكا وألمانيا والسويد والمملكة المتحدة والدنمارك وكندا والنرويج والولايات المتحدة.
ووفق الموقع الأمريكي فإن هونغ كونغ تتصدر قائمة الأغلى عالمياً حيث يبلغ متوسط الإيجار فيها 2178 دولاراـ تليها في المركز الثاني سنغافورة بمتوسط شهري يبلغ 2037 دولاراً، وفي المرتبة الثالثة جاءت سويسرا بمتوسط إيجار شهري حوالي 1625 دولاراً.
