Ashghal: 7 schools not covered by traffic safety plans

Doha: Figures issued by the Public Works Authority “Ashghal” said that the number of schools not yet covered by the executive work of the traffic safety program that the authority is keen to implement in coordination with the Ministry of Interior and the National Road Safety Committee to identify school areas in need of development, amounted to 1.25%, out of 566 schools.
Only 7 schools are still in the process of designing traffic safety elements around them, and about 41 schools are currently being completed to implement safety plans in their surroundings.
It is worth mentioning that the Public Works Authority has completed the promotion of traffic safety on roads surrounding 518 schools across the country, accounting for 91% of the total number of schools included in the program to enhance traffic safety in the areas surrounding schools, as part of preparations for the reception of the new school year 2021 / 2022.

الدوحة: قالت أرقام صادرة عن هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” إن عدد المدارس التي لم تشملها بعد الأعمال التنفيذية لبرنامج السلامة المرورية التي تسهر الهيئة على تنفيذه بالتنسيق مع وزارة الداخلية واللجنة الوطنية لسلامة الطرق لتحديد المناطق المدرسية المحتاجة للتطوير، بلغت 1.25 %، وذلك من أصل 566 مدرسة.
وقالت إن 7 فقط من المدارس ما زالت قيد تصميم عناصر السلامة المرورية حولها، كما أن نحو 41 مدرسة يجري الانتهاء حاليا من استكمال أعمال تنفيذ مخططات السلامة في محيطها.
يذكر أن هيئة الأشغال العامة انتهت من تعزيز السلامة المرورية بالطرق المحيطة بـ 518 مدرسة في مختلف أنحاء الدولة بواقع 91 % من إجمالي عدد المدارس المتضمنة في برنامج تعزيز السلامة المرورية بالمناطق المحيطة بالمدارس، وذلك في إطار الاستعداد لاستقبال العام الدراسي الجديد 2021 / 2022.
