Ashghal Completes Work on Community College of Qatar (Male Campus) in Al Kheesa

Doha: In coinciding with the new academic year 2021/2022, the Public Works Authority Ashghal announced the completion of works on the Community College of Qatar (male campus) in Al Kheesa. The building consists of four floors with an area of 13,650 sq m.

The new building is spacious with various facilities and multi-purpose halls for studying or practicing educational activities. The modern design of the building and its educational facilities provides a distinguished learning environment.

Head of Educational Projects Section in Ashghal Eng. Ahmed Al Emadi said that within the framework of the country’s plan to develop and establish schools and various educational facilities, in cooperation with the Community College of Qatar, Ashghal completed the works on the Community College of Qatar (male campus) in Al Kheesa. This helps increase the student capacity rate and provide distinguished educational services, noting that the female campus of the Community College of Qatar is to be completed by the end of 2021.

for his part, Head of Engineering Support Section Eng. Obaid Rashid Al Athba confirmed that all construction works on this project were carried out in accordance to local specifications and international standards. The implementation of this project took about 1.2 million working hours without any injuries, he said, adding that Ashghal applied all safety measures in regards to workers on this project.

“The Quality and Safety Department in the Public Works Authority has also implemented a new work mechanism to monitor quality, safety and environment. Specialists followed up the project over a period of six months, which resulted in a simulation of implementing a new work mechanism for all building projects in Ashghal and the subsequent comprehensive audit of the quality of the implementation and materials used. While taking into consideration the protection of the environment and the safety of workers Al Athba added.

It was taken into account during the design period that the buildings should have characteristics of the Qatari culture, and follow the highest international fire safety standards such as creating a system to rationalize the use and consumption of water inside and outside the building, he said.

The new projects are a part of achieving Qatar Vision 2030, which comes as a priority within Ashghals strategy. Ashghal is keen to provide integrated infrastructure and public facilities that serve all sectors in Qatar, especially the health and education sector.

Educational projects occupy an important place among the projects implemented by the Buildings Department in Ashghal in cooperation and coordination with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The educational sector has recently witnessed a remarkable revitalization through the opening of a number of advanced schools that are characterized by their innovative services and spacious buildings that enables them to accommodate large numbers of students. Thus, improve the quality of educational services and the rate of student capacity in Qatar.

الدوحة: انتهت هيئة الأشغال العامة /أشغال/ من تنفيذ أعمال كلية المجتمع في قطر للبنين في منطقة الخيسة والتي تتكون من أربعة طوابق وتمتد على مساحة بناء بنحو 13,650 مترا مربعا.

ويتضمن المبنى الجديد الذي يتزامن الانتهاء منه مع قرب بدء العام الأكاديمي الجديد 2021- 2022، مساحات واسعة ومرافق وقاعات متعددة الأغراض سواء للدراسة أو لممارسة كافة الأنشطة التي تخدم العملية التعليمية، وتوفر بيئة تعليمية ثرية بفضل التصميم الحديث للمبنى وما يشتمل عليه من وسائل تعليمية متنوعة.

وقال المهندس أحمد العمادي رئيس قسم المشاريع التعليمية بأشغال، إنه في إطار خطة الدولة الخاصة بتطوير وإقامة مدارس ومنشآت تعليمية مختلفة، انتهت /أشغال/ بالتعاون مع كلية المجتمع في قطر، من أعمال كلية المجتمع للبنين في منطقة الخيسة لزيادة نسبة استيعاب أعداد الطلاب وتوفير خدمات تعليمية متميزة.

واستعرض العمادي في بيان للهيئة بهذا الخصوص، تصميم الكلية والمزايا التثقيفية والبيئية والترفيهية والرياضية التي توفرها للطلاب، مشيراً إلى أن العمل جار للانتهاء من كلية المجتمع للبنات بنهاية 2021.

من جانبه أكد المهندس عبيد راشد العذبة رئيس قسم الدعم الهندسي في /أشغال/، أن جميع أعمال هذا المشروع تم تنفيذها طبقاً للمواصفات المحلية والمعايير الدولية، وقال إن تنفيذه استغرق حوالي مليون و200 ألف ساعة عمل بدون أي إصابات، لافتاً إلى أن الهيئة وفرت كافة إجراءات السلامة للعاملين في المشروع: الجودة والبيئة والسلامة.

ونوه بأن إدارة الجودة والسلامة في هيئة الأشغال العامة طبقت آلية عمل جديدة لمراقبة الجودة والبيئة والسلامة، كما تمت متابعة المشروع من قبل مختصين على مدار 6 أشهر نتج عنها محاكاة لتطبيق آلية عمل جديدة لكافة مشاريع المباني في /أشغال/ وما يتبعها من تدقيق شامل على جودة المواد المستخدمة وجودة التنفيذ مع مراعاة المحافظة على البيئة وسلامة العمالة.

وأوضح أنه تم الأخذ في الحسبان عند تصميم المبنى أن يتسم بالطابع التراثي القطري وأن يتطابق مع أعلى معايير الأمان العالمية في مجال الحريق وطبقاً لأعلى معايير الجودة والأمان مثل عمل منظومة لترشيد استخدامات واستهلاك المياه داخل المبنى وخارجه.

وتأتي هذه المشروعات الجديدة تحقيقا لرؤية قطر 2030، وعلى رأس استراتيجية هيئة الأشغال العامة التي تحرص على توفير بنى تحتية متكاملة ومنشآت عامة تخدم كافة القطاعات في الدولة وفي مقدمتها القطاع الصحي والتعليمي.

وتشغل المشاريع التعليمية حيزاً هاماً ضمن المشاريع التي تنفذها شؤون المباني في هيئة الأشغال العامة بالتعاون والتنسيق مع وزارة التعليم والتعليم العالي، حيث شهد القطاع التعليمي في الآونة الأخيرة انتعاشاً ملحوظاً من خلال افتتاح عدد من المدارس المتطورة التي تميزت من حيث تطور الخدمات التي تقدمها ومساحات بنائها التي تخولها استقبال أعداد كبيرة من الطلاب، وبالتالي تحسين نوعية الخدمات التعليمية ونسبة الاستيعاب للطلبة في دولة قطر.
