Municipalities Issue 532 Building Permits in July

Doha: Data from the Planning and Statistics Authority showed that building permits issued by municipalities in the State of Qatar during the month of July reached 532, a decrease of 28 percent from the previous month of June, which recorded 734 permits.

Data showed a decrease in the number of licenses in most municipalities, with the largest decrease recorded in Al Shamal municipality, which recorded a decline of about 54 percent, then Al Da’ayen 42 percent, Al-Wakrah 39, Al-Rayyan 37 percent, Umm Salal 24 percent, Al Khor 23 percent, while Al Doha municipality recorded an increase of 14 percent and Al Sheehaniya municipality did not witness any significant change last July.

According to geographical distribution, the municipality of Al Doha comes at the top of the municipalities where the number of building permits issued were 145 permits, i.e. 27 percent of the total issued permits, while municipality of Al Rayyan came in second place with 138 permits, i.e. 26 percent, followed by Al Da’ayen municipality of with 88 permits, i.e.17 percent, then municipality of Al Wakrah with 80 permits, i.e.15 percent. The rest of the municipalities were as follows: Umm Salal 35 permits (7 percent), Al Khor 24 permits (5 percent), Al Sheehaniya 16 permits (3 percent), and finally Al Shamal 6 permits (1 percent).

In terms of type of permits issued, data indicates that the new building permits (residential and non-residential) constitutes 45 percent (238 permits) of the total building permits issued during the month of July 2021, while the percentage of additions permits constituted 52 percent (274 permits), and finally fencing permits with 4 percent (20 permits).

As for new residential buildings permits data, villas top the list, accounting for 73 percent (154 permits) of all new residential buildings permits, followed by dwellings of housing loans permits by 15 percent (31 permits) and apartments buildings by 10 percent (21 permits).

Commercial buildings were found to be in the forefront of non-residential buildings permits with 50 percent (14 permits), followed by governmental buildings and mosques with 18 percent (5 permits) each.

With regard to building completion certificates issued during the month of July 2021, the total certificates issued by municipalities amounted to 282 certificates, compared to 347 in June, with a decrease of 19 percent.

This decrease was clearly noted in most of the municipalities: Al Shamal (83 percent), Al Daayen (59 percent), Um Salal (50 percent), Al Rayyan (15 percent), Doha (6 percent). On the other hand, there was a clear increase in the municipality of Al Khor (111 percent), Al Sheehaniya (23 percent), Al Wakrah (4 percent).

It is worth mentioning that the release of this monthly data comes under the joint cooperation between the Planning and Statistics Authority and the Ministry of Municipality and Environment to make use of the existing electronic link between the two sides.

Building permits and building completion certificates data is of particular importance as it is considered an indicator for the performance of the construction sector which in turn occupies a significant position in the national economy.

الدوحة: أظهرت بيانات جهاز التخطيط والإحصاء أن رخص البناء الصادرة عن البلديات في الدولة بلغت في شهر يوليو الماضي 532 رخصة بانخفاض 28 في المئة عن شهر يونيو السابق له الذي سجل 734 رخصة.

وأظهرت البيانات انخفاضا في عدد الرخص في معظم البلديات، حيث كانت أكبر الانخفاضات في بلدية الشمال التي سجلت وبنسبة (54 في المئة)، تلتها الظعاين بنحو (42 في المئة)، ثم الوكرة (39 في المئة)، والريان (37 في المئة)، وأم صلال (24 في المئة)، والخور (23 في المئة)، بينما سجلت بلدية الدوحة ارتفاعا واضحا بلغ (14 في المئة)، ولم تشهد بلدية الشيحانية أي تغيير يذكر في يوليو الماضي.

وفيما يتعلق بالتوزيع الجغرافي، جاءت بلدية الدوحة في مقدمة البلديات من حيث عدد رخص البناء الصادرة في يوليو الماضي، حيث أصدرت 145 رخصة أي ما نسبته 27 في المئة من إجمالي الرخص الصادرة، في حين جاءت بلدية الريان في المرتبة الثانية مسجلة 138 رخصة، أي 26 في المئة، تلتها بلدية الظعاين بـ 88 رخصة أي 17 في المئة، ثم بلدية الوكرة التي أصدرت 80 رخصة أي 15 في المئة.. بينما توزعت بقية الرخص على أم صلال (35 رخصة)، والخور (24 رخصة)، والشيحانية (16رخصة)، والشمال (6 رخص).

أما من حيث نوع الرخص الصادرة، تظهر البيانات أن عدد تراخيص المباني الجديدة (سكنية وغير سكنية) شكلت 45 في المئة (238 رخصة) من إجمالي رخص البناء الصادرة خلال شهر يوليو الماضي، في حين شكلت تراخيص بناء الإضافات 52 في المئة (274 رخصة)، وتراخيص التحويط 4 في المئة (20 رخصة).

وتصدرت رخص الفلل قائمة المباني السكنية الجديدة، حيث شكلت 73 في المئة (154 رخصة) من إجمالي رخص البناء المعدة للسكن، تليها فئة مساكن قروض الإسكان بنسبة 15 في المئة (31 رخصة)، ثم العمارات ذات الشقق السكنية بنسبة 10 في المئة (21 رخصة).

وجاءت المباني التجارية في مقدمة تراخيص المباني غير السكنية بنسبة 50 في المئة (14 رخصة)، تليها المباني الحكومية والمساجد بنسبة 18 في المئة (5 رخص) لكل منها.

وفيما يتعلق بشهادات إتمام المباني الصادرة خلال شهر يوليو الماضي، فقد بلغ إجمالي الشهادات الصادرة عن البلديات 282 شهادة، مقابل 347 في يونيو السابق له بانخفاض شهري قدره 19 في المئة.

وأشارت بيانات جهاز التخطيط والإحصاء إلى انخفاض في معظم البلديات حيث سجلت بلدية الشمال تراجعا بنسبة (83 في المئة)، والظعاين (59 في المئة)، وأم صلال (50 في المئة)، والريان (15 في المئة)، والدوحة (6 في المئة)، بينما سجلت بلديات الخور والشيحانية والوكرة ارتفاعا قدره (111 في المئة)، و(23 في المئة)، و(4 في المئة) على التوالي.

يشار إلى أن إصدار هذه البيانات الشهرية يأتي في إطار التنسيق والربط الإلكتروني القائم بين جهاز التخطيط والإحصاء ووزارة البلدية والبيئة.

وتكتسب بيانات تراخيص البناء وشهادات إتمام المباني أهمية خاصة باعتبارها مؤشرا تقريبيا لأداء قطاع البناء والتشييد والذي يحتل بدوره مكانة هامة في الاقتصاد.
