Amir Holds Phone Call with Tunisian President

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani held a telephone conversation with HE President of the Republic of Tunisia Kais Saied on Wednesday evening.
The phone call touched on the latest developments in Tunisia. HH the Amir stressed the need to overcome the current political crisis and the importance of the Tunisian parties adopting the path of dialogue to overcome the crisis, consolidate the pillars of the state of institutions and establish the rule of law in the Republic of Tunisia, in order to preserve the interest of the brotherly Tunisian people and the stability of Tunisia.
For his part, HE the Tunisian President expressed thanks and appreciation to HH the Amir for Qatar’s supportive position for the aspirations of the Tunisian people and its constant stand by Tunisia.
The two sides also reviewed the close bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways of enhancing and promoting them.

الدوحة: أجرى حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، اتصالا هاتفيا مساء الأمس مع أخيه فخامة الرئيس قيس سعيد رئيس الجمهورية التونسية الشقيقة.
جرى خلال الاتصال استعراض آخر تطورات الأوضاع في تونس، حيث أعرب سموه عن ضرورة تجاوز الأزمة السياسية الراهنة وأهمية أن تنتهج الأطراف التونسية طريق الحوار لتجاوزها وتثبيت دعائم دولة المؤسسات وتكريس حكم القانون في الجمهورية التونسية الشقيقة من أجل مصلحة الشعب التونسي الشقيق والحفاظ على استقرارها.
من جانبه، أعرب فخامة الرئيس التونسي عن شكره وتقديره لسمو الأمير المفدى على موقف قطر الداعم لتطلعات الشعب التونسي ووقوفها الدائم إلى جانب تونس.
كما جرى خلال الاتصال استعراض العلاقات الثنائية الوثيقة بين البلدين الشقيقين والسبل الكفيلة بدعمها وتعزيزها.
