Our embassy in Ankara clarifies the new travel procedures from Turkey to Qatar

Our embassy in Turkey announced that due to receiving numerous inquiries and questions about the current procedures for travellers from Turkey to Qatar, it draws citizens’ attention to the new precautionary measures currently being implemented as follows:
– A PCR test proving that the passenger is free of Covid-19 up to 72 hours before arriving in Qatar from a medical centre.
– Electronic registration through the designated website (www.ehteraz.gov.qa), (mandatory for all visitors and optional for citizens and residents) at least 12 hours before travelling.
– The traveller is exempted from hotel quarantine if the required doses are received from one of the vaccines approved by the Ministry of Public Health and at least 14 days after receiving the second dose if the vaccine is two doses or a single dose of the Janssen vaccine.
– Unvaccinated children between the ages of 0 and 17 years of fully vaccinated parents (with two doses) are required to undergo home quarantine for 7 days.
Hotel quarantine:
– Passengers who are not immunized, or who have received unapproved vaccines in the State of Qatar, or who have not completed a period of (14) days from the date of the second dose, coming from Turkey to the State of Qatar will be subject to the following:
– Undergo a hotel quarantine for a period of (7) days, with a PCR test done at the traveler’s expense in the hotel on the sixth day, and the traveler will be licensed on the seventh day if the test is negative.
The embassy notes – via its Twitter account – that the procedures related to the Coronavirus are constantly changing.
أعلنت سفارتنا في تركيا أنه نظرا لتلقيها العديد من الاستفسارات والأسئلة عن الإجراءات الحالية للمسافرين من تركيا إلى دولة قطر، فإنها تلفت نظر المواطنين إلى الإجراءات الاحترازية الجديدة التي يتم تطبيقها حالياً على النحو التالي:
– إجراء فحص (PCR) يثبت خلو المسافر من كوفيد- 19 قبل (72) ساعة كحد أقصى من الوصول لدولة قطر من مركز طبي
– التسجيل الإلكتروني (إلزامي لجميع الزوار واختيارى للمواطنين والمقيمين) عبر الموقع المخصص لهذا الغرض (www.ehteraz.gov.qa) قبل (12) ساعة على الأقل من السفر.
– يعفى المسافر من الحجر الصحي الفندقي في حال تلقي الجرعات المطلوبة من إحدى اللقاحات المعتمدة لدى وزارة الصحة العامة ومرور (14) يوم على الأقل من تلقي الجرعة الثانية في حال كان اللقاح ذو جرعتين أو من الجرعة الواحدة للقاح جانسين.
– يطلب من الأطفال غير المطعمين الذين تتراوح أعمارهم بين 0 و17 عاما لوالدين (مطعمين تطعيما كاملا بالجرعتين ) الخضوع للحجر الصحي المنزلي لمدة 7 ايام.
الحجر الصحي الفندقي:
– سيخضع المسافرون غير المحصنين، أو الحاصلين على لقاحات غير معتمدة في دولة قطر، أو الذين لم يكملوا فترة (14) يوما من تاريخ الجرعة الثانية، القادمين من تركيا إلى دولة قطر ما يلي:
– الخضوع للحجر الصحي الفندقي لمدة (7) أيام مع عمل اختبار PCR على نفقة المسافر في الفندق في اليوم السادس، وسيتم ترخيص المسافر في اليوم السابع إذا كان الاختبار سلبيا.
وتنوه السفارة – عبر حسابها على تويتر – إلى تغير الاجراءات الخاصة بفيروس كورونا على الدوام.
