Doha: Citizens complained about the unjustified rise in the prices of chalets and sea resorts scattered in the country during eid and weekends ranging from 8,000 to 25,000 riyals per two nights, considering that these prices are close to the value paid by the citizen when travelling to countries such as Maldives, Turkey, Malaysia, for one week including ticket, accommodation and costs of living in 4 or 5 star hotels.
They stressed in special statements to Al Raya that this rise harms domestic tourism and forces citizens to spend their annual holidays and eids outside the country, pointing out the need to expand the establishment of tourist resorts and chalets in the beach areas of the country, especially the west, in light of the small number compared to the remarkable recovery of domestic tourism while obliging investors at specific prices not more than the prices accepted in neighboring countries. Citizens set a list of satisfactory, logical and converging prices or a fraction higher than the prices of tourist countries located on the beaches, considering that 1000 riyals for a villa with two rooms is suitable for one night, while for a villa of 3 rooms is supposed to not exceed 1500 riyals per night.
They denounced the idea of raising the price of booking chalets and tourist resorts on holidays, weekends and official holidays by up to 50 or 60%, compared to weekdays, wondering about the legality of this act, and whether these tourist facilities have the right to raise the prices of their services in this way, although the services provided do not differ either on normal days, weekends or official holidays.

الدوحة: اشتكى مواطنون من الارتفاع غير المُبرّر لأسعار الشاليهات والمنتجعات البحرية المُنتشرة في البلاد خلال العيد والإجازات الأسبوعية التي تتراوح من 8000 إلى 25 ألف ريال في الليلتين، مُعتبرين أن تلك الأسعار قريبة من القيمة التي يدفعها المُواطن عند سفره إلى دول مثل المالديف، وتركيا، وماليزيا، لمدة أسبوع واحد شاملة تذكرة السفر والسكن والمعيشة في فنادق 4 أو 5 نجوم.
وأكد هؤلاء في تصريحات خاصة لـ الراية أن هذا الارتفاع يضرّ بالسياحة الداخلية ويُجبر المُواطنين على قضاء إجازاتهم السنوية والأعياد خارج البلاد، لافتين إلى ضرورة التوسع في إنشاء المنتجعات السياحية والشاليهات في المساحات الشاطئية بالدولة، خاصة الغربية في ظل قلة عددها مقارنةً بالانتعاش الملحوظ للسياحة الداخلية مع إلزام المُستثمرين بأسعار محددة لا تزيد على الأسعار المُتعارف عليها في الدول المجاورة. وحدّد المُواطنون قائمة أسعار مُرضية ومنطقيّة ومتقاربة أو أعلى بجزءٍ بسيطٍ من أسعار الدول السياحيّة التي تقع على الشواطئ، مُعتبرين أنَّ 1000 ريال للفيلا التي تضمّ غرفتَين مناسبٌ لليلة الواحدة، أما بالنسبة للفيلا من 3 غرف فيفترض ألا تزيد على 1500 ريال لليلة الواحدة.
واستهجنوا فكرة رفع سعر حجز الشاليهات والمنتجعات السياحية في الأعياد والإجازة الأسبوعية والرسمية بنسبة تصل إلى 50 أو 60%، مقارنةً بأيام الأسبوع، مُتسائلين عن قانونية هذا الفعل، وهل يحقّ لتلك المرافق السياحيّة رفع أسعار خدماتها بهذه الصورة، رغم أن الخدمات التي تقدّم لا تختلف سواء في الأيام العادية، أو الإجازات الأسبوعيّة، أو الرسميّة.
