Qatar dominates medium-size projects in Britain

وتابع التقرير بأن زيادة حجم الاستثمارات القطرية والإماراتية في العاصمة لندن وغيرها من المدن الأخرى، أسهمت في رأس المال الآسيوي في السوق البريطاني للمشاريع الصغيرة والمتوسطة إلى 12.3 مليار جنيه إسترليني في النصف الأول من العام الجاري، مقارنة بـ 10.8 مليار جنيه استرليني في السنة المنصرمة، مشيرا إلى أن التركيز القطري على قطاع التكنولوجيا في بريطانيا لعب دورا كبيرا في كسر هيمنة المستثمرين اليابانيين على هذا المجال في الفترة ما بين عامي 2016 و2020، التي تقلصت فيها الاستثمارات اليابانية في التكنولوجيا داخل المملكة المتحدة من 72 % إلى 24 %، متوقعا تسجيلها للمزيد من التراجع في المرحلة القادمة التي ستتميز دون أي أدنى شك بتكثيف الاستثمارات القطرية في هذا الجانب، سواء كان ذلك عن طريق صندوق قطر السيادي أو غيره.

وأرجع التقرير الاهتمام القطري بقطاع التكنولوجيا في بريطانيا إلى مجموعة من العوامل الرئيسية، في مقدمتها الرغبة في تنويع المشاريع الخارجية والخروج من دائرة الاستثمارات التقليدية المرتبطة بالعقارات مع التركيز على القطاعات المستقبلية، بالإضافة إلى توسع سوق المملكة المتحدة في هذه الناحية، وتوفره على العديد من الفرص الاستثمارية الواعدة بالنسبة لرجال الأعمال القطريين، الذين شرعوا في المرحلة الأخيرة في البحث عن مشاريع أكثر استدامة تضمن لهم أرباحا مستقبلا.
