QIC Group partners with Dreama to reaffirm CSR commitment
“قطر للتأمين” تساهم بدعم مادي لمركز رعاية الأيتام “دريمة”
As a progressive leader in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and socially responsible business practices, Qatar Insurance Group, the leading insurer in Qatar and the Mena region, have collaborated with Dreama to provide sponsorship for quality housing refurbishment for orphans.
QIC Group has long focused on engaging in multiple CSR collaborations that make significant developments in the fields of human and social development. Evolving with the trends that underpin the changing CSR landscape in Qatar, QIC Group has been involved in various activities that contribute to the advancement of the society, including cultural, social, and human values that create scalable impact.
Today, CSR is considered an integral pillar for achieving sustainable development not only in business but also in the society it operates in. QIC Group said it firmly believes that engaging with society through various CSR initiatives is a two-way process.
First is when the organisation benefits from a business perspective and second, when the company gives back to the community in a variety of ways, developing strong relationships and building trust, QIC Group said.
On behalf of QIC Group, Ali Fadala, senior deputy Group president and CEO of QIC Group, handed over the sponsorship cheque of QR800,000 to Dreama’s Mohamed al-Khanji. With this sponsorship, QIC Group will continue to move steadfast on its CSR initiatives and fulfil its goals for achieving sustainability.
Commenting on this sponsorship, Khalifa Abdulla Turki al-Subaey, Group president and CEO of QIC Group, said: “As the leading insurer in Qatar, we have a longstanding commitment to acting as a trusted and ethical partner with the Qatari community and to playing a role in the development of Qatar’s human, social, and sustainable economic wealth.”

In effect, being socially-conscious has allowed us to respond, engage, and solve the common concerns of the society along with the co-operation of our customers, business partners, and affiliates. By collaborating with Dreama, we pledge to continue to create resilient communities which inherently would create a stable society and a sustainable Nation.”
Maryam bint Ali bin Naser al-Misnad, executive director of Dreama Orphans Care Centre, stressed that the responsibility towards the community and its various groups, including orphans, is one of the pillars of social responsibility for institutions operating in Qatar.
Adding that Dreama’s objectives are realised through an effective community partnership with all sectors in Qatar, she confirmed that QIC Group’s sponsorship had opened doors for consultation on the situation of orphans in Qatar.
In addition, it would also assist in transforming their everyday life while satisfying their psychological, social, educational, and scientific needs through developing play and learning units, she said.
She added: “Qatar Insurance Group’s initiative to provide direct financial support to the Orphan Care Centre is in line with QIC Group’s keenness to raise the profile of the current affairs of a social sector that Dreama focuses on. It also represents QIC Group’s eagerness on the nature of work performed by Dreama for improving the conditions of life that are most suitable for the integration of orphans within the segments of the society.
“We also strive to provide for all basic needs of the children and empower them by developing their skills and abilities, either by educational support or by involving them in programmes that develop their abilities and skills in all sports, scientific, cultural and other fields.”
The “generous support” from QIC Group emphasises Dreama’s role in supporting and improving the housing facilities for the children of the centre. This aspect is important in terms of the stability of its children in a secure and stable environment and achieving the strategic objectives of Dreama, QIC Group said.

وسلم السيد علي الفضاله نائب أول رئيس المجموعه والرئيس التنفيذي لقطر للتأمين الشيك للسيد محمد الخنجي مدير ادارة الخدمات الاجتماعيه لمركز دريمه، حيث يسهم مركز رعاية الايتام دريمه في توفير الرعاية اللازمه للفئات المستهدفه في دولة قطر، واستقرارهم ودمجهم في المجتمع وذلك من خلال المساهمة في تقديم الدعم لحصولهم على الخدمات التعليمية والصحية والنفسية والقانونية الذي يلبي متطالباتهم واحتياجاتهم.
وأعرب السيد خليفة عبدالله تركي السبيعي الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة قطر للتأمين عن سعادته على حرص الشركه لتقديم الدعم الدائم للجهود المجتمعيه كما ان شركه قطر للتأمين تهتم كثيراً في تبني مثل هذه المبادرات الإجتماعية التي تعكس قيمها ورؤيتها المنبثقه من أهدافها وخططها الإستراتيجيه باعتبار هذه المساهمه انطلاقا لمسؤوليتها الإجتماعية اتجاه المجتمع في دولة قطر.
وحرصاً من مجموعة قطر للتأمين على دعم أنشطة مركز رعاية الأيتام دريمه، وايمانا بدورها الكبير والنشط في مجال المسؤولية الاجتماعية في الدولة، ورغبة منها نحو تقديم الدعم للمركز والمساهمة معه نحو تحقيق الأهداف التي انشئ المركز من أجلها.
وأضاف السبيعي قائلا” أن المساهمة والدعم المادي والتعاون مع مركز دريمه في مثل هذه البرامج التي تخدم المجتمع فهو ليس عملاً تطوعياً بل واجب يمليه الإنتماء إلى الوطن لتأمين مستقبل أفضل للأجيال القادمة مشيراً إلى إن المجموعة ومنذ تأسيسها تهتم بالبعد الاجتماعي في عملها، إدراكاً منها بالدور الذي يجب أن تقوم به كبرى الشركات الوطنية في تنمية المجتمع الذي تنتمي إليه، ونحن نثق بأن هذا التعاون مع مركز دريمه يسهم في خلق فرص متكافئة للأفراد وتعتبر دريمه مركزا رائدا في رعاية الايتام ودمجهم في المجتمع.
وأستهلت الفاضلة مريم بنت علي بن ناصر المسند المدير التنفيذي لمركز رعاية الأيتام “دريمه” في كلمتها بتقديم الشكر والتقدير لمجموعة قطر للتأمين على دعمهم لدريمه.
وأكدت أن المسؤولية تجاه المجتمع وفئاته المختلفة ومنها فئة الأيتام تمثل أحد ركائز المسؤولية المجتمعية للمؤسسات العاملة في دولة قطر وتشكل جسراَ متيناَ يربط بين مركز رعاية الايتام “دريمة” ومجموعة قطر للتامين كما فتحت الباب للتشاور حول واقع الأيتام في دولة قطر وسبل تطوير وسائل حياتهم اليومية وتلبية أحتياجاتهم النفسية والاجتماعية والتعليمية والعلمية .. وتطوير وحدات اللعب والتعلم واكتشاف قدراتهم وفتح أفاق رحبه أمامهم.
وأن مبادرة مجموعة قطر للتأمين بتقديم دعم مالي مباشر لمركز رعاية الأيتام “أنسجم مع حرصهم على إعلاء شؤون شريحة إجتماعية تمثل شغلاَ شاغلاَ لدريمة، و تمثل محور العمل لدينا في زيادة تحسين شروط ومتطلبات الحياة الأكثر ملائمة لروح العصر ومتطلباته المجتمعية في الدمج الاجتماعي مع شرائح المجتمع وهو من الأهداف التي نسعي لها بشكلاَ دائما “َ.
وأضافت المسند أن كل مايصبو المركز إلى تحقيقه في تطوير واقع أبناءه يتحقق أمام أعيننا عبر شراكة مجتمعية فاعلة مع كل قطاعات الدولة في قطر ليأتي الدعم السخي من المجموعة ليؤكد تلك الشراكة والحرص على ايمانهم بدوردريمة في جانب دعم وتحسين السكن واستكمال مايلزم من مرافق ومنشآت لدريمة بما يمثله هذا الجانب من أهمية لناحية أستقرارأبناءه في بيئة آمنة ومستقرة تحقق الأهداف الاستراتيجية لمركز رعاية الايتام دريمة وان تمكين الأيتام في دولة قطر لم يكن ليتحقق لولا جهود الشراكة الفاعلة بين دريمة وكافة القطاعات في الدولة والتي تعني بالمسؤولية الاجتماعية تجاه الأيتام.
