Al Khor, Al Shahania Affirm Readiness for Play-Off Today

Doha: Al Khor coach Winfried Schafer underlined his team’s readiness for the 2020-21 season Play-Off against Al Shahania on Tuesday.

“I salute all fans of the club and I want to reassure them that we have done well during the past few weeks so that we can appear well and win the important match against Al Shahania. We scored five goals in the last match we played against Al Ahli in the QFA Cup. This is a very good and promising sign,” Schafer said in a press conference on Monday.

“We have great players. All we have to do is enter the match with complete focus. Our fighting spirit is our main weapon. Our preparations are going on well. We have worked hard and we have done all that was necessary to win the Play-Off,” added Schafer.

For his part, Al Shahania coach Nabil Anwar underlined that his team is ready to face Al Khor in the deciding match.

“All players and technical as well as administrative staff are ready and have the desire to win. Everybody is ready with the exception of Talal Al Mutairi, the Kuwaiti professional who was recently injured and whose season with the team has ended. He will not be playing against Al Khor,” Anwar said.

“Al Khor are a good team regardless of their ranking in the QNB Stars League. They have presented good levels and have professionals of the highest level and a distinguished coach who is German (Winfried Schafer) and unique. Therefore, we respect Al Khor and it is natural that the clash will be difficult,” he added.

“We definitely corrected the mistakes we made in the past matches. But mistakes are too frequent and against Al Shamal, we presented the worst game of the season. Our team has turned the page after the Al Shamal match and our focus is only on the Al Khor meeting. We have acknowledged our mistakes and are ready now to play against Al Khor,” he noted.

“We are confident about achieving our goal that we set at the beginning of the season, which is to be among the top First Division clubs. The pressure will be there on both teams as both have the desire to win this match. As I said, the match is difficult and will be played on a simple formula – a team that will play calmly during the 90 minutes will be the one to achieve victory,” he said.

الدوحة: يبحث الخور عن التمسك بأمل البقاء في دوري الاضواء بينما يمني الشحانية نفسه بالعودة بين الأندية الكبار عندما يلتقي الفريقان اليوم /الثلاثاء/ على ملعب سحيم بن حمد بنادي قطر، في مواجهة فاصلة على بطاقة الدوري القطري لكرة القدم ( دوري نجوم QNB )، الموسم المقبل.

ووصل الفريقان لهذه المباراة الفاصلة بعد أن احتل الخور المركز قبل الأخير في بطولة الدوري، والشحانية بعد أن احتل المركز الثاني في دوري الدرجة الثانية.

ويصعب توقع نتيجة المواجهة، للتكافؤ الكبير بين الفريقين، وسعي كل فريق للفوز، والبقاء في الدوري بالنسبة للخور، والصعود له بالنسبة للشحانية.

ويمتلك الفريقان، لاعبين متميزين يمكنهم صناعة الفارق، ويعتمد وينفرد شايفر مدرب الخور ونبيل أنور مدرب الشحانية على العديد منهم لتحقيق الانتصار في اللقاء والهروب من هذا الكابوس الذي يطاردهم وبشدة.

ويعتمد مدرب الخور على محترفي فريقه رافاييل داسيلفا، وفيتفا، وإسماعيل الحداد، ويوكي كوباياشي، مع نايف البريكي والحارس بابا جبريل ومصعب عبد المجيد، ومحمد الجابر، ويفتقد قلب دفاعه خارج رضوان بسبب الإصابة بقطع في الرباط الصليبي.

في المقابل يعتمد مدرب الشحانية على محترفي فريقه فلانتين لازار، وبراهيما جاي، وروبرت ملكي، وناجيل دي يونج، مع مصطفى جلال، ورضا شنبيه، ويوسف هاني وعبد العزيز اليهري، وعبد الحميد عناد، ونور رحمان، والحارس إبراهيم درويش.

وعلى صعيد متصل عقد يوم الأمس الاجتماع الفني الخاص بالمواجهة ،عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي، وذلك بحضور السيد أحمد سلمان العدساني مدير إدارة المسابقات في مؤسسة دوري نجوم قطر، والسيد عبد الله حسن ممثل نادي الخور، والسيد عاطف منير ممثل نادي الشحانية، بالإضافة إلى السيد عبد الله البلوشي ممثل إدارة التحكيم بالاتحاد القطري لكرة القدم.

وتم استعراض جدول أعمال الاجتماع والتأكيد على ضرورة التزام الجميع بالإجراءات الرسمية المُعتمدة والبروتوكول الطبي الخاص بفيروس كورونا (كوفيد-19)، ومراجعة الارشادات التنظيمية الخاصة بيوم المباراة، وأهمية الالتزام بالمواعيد المحددة للوصول إلى الملعب.
