Doha: Some companies specializing in the removal of used oils from workshops, car maintenance shops and garages use unprepared cars by resorting to transport vehicles loaded with plastic barrels, despite the availability of the alternative of cars with safe steel tanks similar to those intended to transport water and fuel, as this method is far from the requirements of security and safety, due to the possibility of falling easily in the event of any traffic accident and oil spills on the road.
In the event of transporting used oils, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment requires the transport of hazardous waste to be requested, by filling out the hazardous waste transport form and bringing all requirements to the Ministry, which can be obtained from the Customer Service Office or from the website.
The application is audited administratively and a registered receipt is issued with a number if its data are met and then referred to the hazardous waste section, the licensing unit, the application is inspected to verify the validity and safety of hazardous waste transport vehicles, and the license is issued to the hazardous waste transporter under conditions and regulations from the Ministry of Municipality and Environment.
The waste of used oils is on the list of carcinogenic and harmful chemicals to human health. This waste kills all living organisms, and if disposed of in the seas or oceans, it increases the activity of water-poisoning anaerobic bacteria and changes their natural acidity, completely corrupts them because they prevent oxygen from reaching these organisms, and waste oils disposed of on agricultural land kill soil microorganisms, covering tree leaves with an oil layer that hinders growth, resulting in plant death and soil destruction.

الدوحة: تستخدم بعض الشركات المُتخصصة في سحب الزيوت المُستعملة من الورش ومحلات صيانة السيارات والكراجات، سيارات غير مُهيأة لهذا الأمر، وذلك عبر اللجوء إلى سيارات النقل المُحملة ببراميل بلاستيكية، رغم توفر البديل المُتمثل في سيارات تضم صهاريج فولاذية آمنة شبيهة بالصهاريج المُخصصة لنقل المياه والوقود، حيث تُعدّ هذه الطريقة بعيدة عن متطلبات الأمن والسلامة؛ نظرًا لسهولة سقوطها في حال تعرضت المركبة لأي حادث مروري وانسكاب الزيت على الطريق.
وتشترط وزارة البلدية والبيئة في حالة نقل الزيوت المُستخدمة ضرورة طلب نقل النفايات الخطرة، بتعبئة استمارة نقل النفايات الخطرة وإحضار جميع المتطلبات وتقديمها لدى الوزارة، ويمكن الحصول عليها من مكتب خدمة العملاء أو من الموقع الإلكتروني.
ويتم التدقيق على الطلب من الناحية الإداريّة ويصدر إيصال مُسجّل برقم في حال استيفاء بياناته، ويُحوّل لقسم النفايات الخطرة، وحدة الترخيص، كما تتم عملية التفتيش على الطلب للتأكّد من صحة وسلامة مركبات نقل النفايات الخطرة، ويصدر الترخيص لناقل النفايات الخطرة بشروط وأحكام من وزارة البلدية والبيئة.
وتندرج نفايات الزيوت المُستخدمة تحت قائمة المواد الكيميائية المُسرطنة والمُضرّة بصحة الإنسان. وتتسبب هذه النفايات في قتل كافة الكائنات الحيّة، وإذا ما تم التخلص منها في البحار أو المُحيطات فإنها تعمل على زيادة نشاط البكتيريا اللاهوائية المُسبّبة لتسمم المياه وتغيير درجة حموضتها الطبيعيّة، وفسادها بشكل كلي نظرًا لمنعها الأكسجين من الوصول إلى هذه الكائنات، كما تعمل نفايات الزيوت التي يتم التخلص منها في الأراضي الزراعية على قتل الكائنات الحية الدقيقة الموجودة بالتربة، وتغطي أوراق الأشجار بطبقة زيتية تعيق عملية النمو، ما يؤدّي إلى موت النباتات وتدمير التربة.
