Top European teams to play in Qatar football tournament

DOHA: Four top Euro 2020 contenders will compete in a mini tournament in Qatar next month as they prepare for the major European competition starting in mid-June, it was announced on Saturday.
Holders Portugal as well as Croatia, Belgium and Switzerland will play two matches each in Doha between March 26 and 30 in the Qatar Airways International Cup, the Belgian and Swiss football associations said.
The four teams boast of many international football stars in their teams. Who all will be part of the eleven will be known later.
Cristiano Ronaldo will be chasing his 100th international goal for Portugal along with young star Joao Felix. Other Football stars like Real Madrid players Eden Hazard (Bel), Luka Modric (Cro), Thibaut Courtois (Bel) and Manchester City’s star mid-fielder Kevin De Bruyne (Bel) are likely to line up for their respective countries. Belgium international side also boasts of top striker Romele Lukaku.
World Cup runners-up Croatia will meet the Swiss on March 26, followed the next day by a meeting between Belgium and Portugal.
On March 30, Switzerland will take on Belgium followed by a clash between Croatia and Portugal.
At the Euro 2020 tournament, Switzerland are in Group A, Belgium in B, Croatia in D and Portugal in Group F. Qatar host the next World Cup in 2022.

الدوحة – أعلن يوم السبت أن أربعة من أفضل المتنافسين على بطولة كأس الأمم الأوروبية 2020 (يورو 2020) سيتنافسون في دورة مصغرة في قطر الشهر المقبل في إطار استعدادهم للمنافسة الأوروبية الكبرى التي تبدأ في منتصف يونيو.
قالت الاتحادات البلجيكية والسويسرية لكرة القدم إن البرتغال حامل اللقب وكذلك كرواتيا وبلجيكا وسويسرا ستخوض مباراتين في الدوحة في الفترة ما بين 26 و 30 مارس في كأس الخطوط الجوية القطرية الدولية.
